  1. It does not matter where is money going. The game is going. Servers are up. The developement is going. For how much years now? To keep the things roll, this is the best thing that comunity can do for the devs, and this game. The comunity itself wanted it. There wouldnt be this game if there wasnt noone who would take the care. And I bet the donations are very motivating. Either the money goes dirrectly into the server, or the pocket of some individual, the game is still being supported. So this is my opinion. I wouldnt care where is money going as long as everyghins is alright.
  2. I am gonna be honest and kinda stay at the ground. This is going to be disliked a lot.. I absolutely loved c&c since I played it on ps1 even tho I did not understand a damn about what I am doing since I was sooo young. Therefore once I found out that there is c&c renegade many years later I absolutely fell in love with it. I loved the gameplay, immersion, action, c&c universe but I couldnt play multiplayer. I played thro LAN with few of my friends a few times and I enjoyed the shit out of it regardless. I had to move on since there was nobody to play with, and I couldnt play campaign forever. You can imagine how fucking hyped I was when I saw RenX trailer many years later. Just randomly clicked on it on the youtube as recomended vid. I remember watching it over and over again. Good job btw. Nostalgy filled my veins, and overflooded my organism leading me to the brain orgasm. As the time went, and my hormones calmed down over time, and the more and more I learned about the game, my balls went kinda itchy over low FPS I had (which is my problem only), and started to see more and more flaws that my teeth couldnt went thro. In summary, the game did not met my expectations. Cant deny that the devs did tremendous work over time which made the game so much better, but the key things that was the biggest thorn in my eyes stayed. So yeah there is no happy end at the end of my painful to read and graphical essay. And I am sorry for that. But hey I respect the games for what it is. ... I may come back. Maybe like the most of the people coming back becouse of some big expectations from RenX:Firestorm. Id love to try it. And I WILL try it. No matter IF it wont be what I expected... I dont care if many key things did not changed... it looks absolutely fantastic, and I am stunned from what you did. Respect to yo all devs ❤️

  5. Iam not a huge fan of battle royale mode. Not a bit. But anything that is out of ordinary would be welcomed. Whats good about battle royale mode are thousands of different courses of game and hundrets of different outcomes so the game is aging very slowly. One big map, crates, and weapon/health spawns. It d be different from regular battle royale games, but it might work. One big problem would be low playerbase. A lot of BR games have a huge player base so waiting time is zero, and everybody is having a good time jumping from one game to another. Would be much more acceptable it the game was team-based. 2 teams battle royale looks fine in my imagination. "Poisonous tiberium has cut and surrounded two enemy factions, and its spreading fast! Meteorites with tiberium are falling occasionaly making the whole situation even worse for survirors in the yet uncontaminated land. Survivors had to leave their bases and get to the safety zone to get rescured by their faction transporters, that came right in time, before the whole land got contaminated".
  6. When you start placing landmines in front of your entrance to the house. When you r trying to place c4 on your boss stealthly. When you start to plant really big stinky nukes in the middle of your neighbor's yard. When you yolo thro your closed window to get outside faster. When you are trying to open your parachute yoling thro your closed window but you cant. When you rush Area 51 in chemtroopers suit. When you reload your ink tube in your pen after every finished sentence. When you airsoft guns feel real now becouse they cause more damage than assaul rifle. Maybe I ll come with other stupid ideas later.
  7. Tested and I like the CQC mod. Yosh just gotta calculate everything around some specific time-to-kill, and consider other ups and downs of weapon to set fair TTK for every weapon. Not hard. It actually makes things much more easier to balance. My preferable TTK vs 100/100 unit would be 0.7s for assault rifle and shotty, 1s for pistol while landing 6 hits, 0.65s for Paths rifle, 0.65s cuz of slow projectiles, 0.65s for Mobi etc etc. I was not a fan of previous balance, so I support this idea.
  8. I feel like Iam gonna love it. Iam downloading the game right now after a while, and hopin that some populated server uses this mod. Also think that Yosh got a lil bit inspired by my experimental mutator that removes headshot multiplier while increasing damage, that I did years ago
  9. I always enjoyed playing Nod the most, but since changing teams got locked some patches ago, becouse of some team balancing reasons, I cant play my favourite faction 50% of the time, nor with my friends, therefore my "joy level" dropped under my personal limit of what I could take.
  10. Some VERY unpopular opinions? This one is a suicidal opinion amogst RenX community: Gunplay in this game sucks, and swallow at the same time, and I dont enjoy playing with any weapon now. The only one I kinda liked was LCG. Click! Undestructable mines and C4s suck, and does not make any sence. Team change lock sucks and it was the final nail to the coffin that made me stop playing.

The most frustrating thing for me is that the gameplay is way too oldschoold and lack of innovative, and life improving content, which makes playing in this dream-world an utter nighmare for those who are not hard-core to the bones ren. players enough.   14. I was suggesting no. 4 years ago, and I remember that there was some technical issues that do not support such a thing. It makes servers overload too much. The same reason why toggleable repair gun feature was removed.
  15. I dunno about the economy suggestion. I have totally opposite view, cuz I want harvesters to be absolutely crutial for the game. In the cqc rts, when someone attacks a harvester, AI sends all its units to protect it, cuz its the only source of money. I would like to have this tension in the game. Credit ticks only supports passive way of gameplay, and therefore stalemate which was always the problem for RenX, and I wish there was other ways to farm money other than this credit tick.
  16. @taishō So I was looking for the way to find out, and I learned that my GPU runs on 100%. Maybe its just my GPU being bad? But thats weaird, becouse previously I played RenX on laptop with very bad GPU, 4GB RAM, and 4x2.5GHz processor, and my game was running 50 FPS before overheating. Maybe it could be gpu driver? If so, I cant find the right one on amd site. There is no Radeon HD 6700 series driver.
  17. @taishō Both online and offline. Stable 20-40 fps, mostly under 30 tho (stable in meaning that the game does not breaks), but its hella slow.
  18. 8GB RAM 2x 3.1GHz AMD Radeon HD 6700 series I can play Metro 2033: last light (on medium), APB (ultra setting), going smooth. Playing RenX on super low settings, and my game still runs like shit. Literaly cant track infantry cuz its so delayed(..? I dont know how to call this). You can base your idea on this. Btw, can anybody tell me whats wrong?
  19. Its been so long, I dont have the files anymore. You are welcome to decompile my mutator, and take whatever you find useful. Also, if you download RenX SDK, there is a folder with simple examples of mutators made by devs. Changing weapon stats is pretty simple. You just gotta create your own weapon by duplicating old weapon, and renaming it. Now just change any values you want in your "new" weapon, and replace the old weapon with it. Replacing is simple code. You can find it in my mutator.
  20. I have nothing better to do with my life atm... I believe that some ideas could be mixed together with other ideas, so I d like to share a bit of mine, mainly in regards to infantry gameplay. Game account Create your own game account with ID and password. ID = your ingame name. Log in to enter your gaming profile. In gaming profile: Progress bar, Skill tree and characters costumization, Archievements, Waiting room (with chat), Servers list (ranked, non-ranked servers), Friend list (showing online/offline friends Ranked servers - official RenX servers, or servers that needs developers approval to be ranked servers. The owner needs to be trusted person who may use mutators, but mutators shall not modify EXP gain. Infantry Assault || Medic || Recon || Engineer All default infantry are free All default infantry have same stats Basic weapons are free, advanced weapons are paid Look of individual default classes are differentiated by color Player costumized characters is paid (500c). Advanced Equipment (500c). Default free classes can be upgraded with advanced equipment that gives them +25HP, +25Armor, +10% damage output, -10% cooldowns. Its here for players that does not have their costumized characters yet. Presumptions: 1.Weapons are rebalanced. 2. TTK has been lowered Important: Repair tool, and Healing tool has limited energy, that is recharging if not used. Also these tools are not ranged anymore.. to repaid/heal, you need to do it close and personal. Proxy mines are easily destroyable with dirrect hits. No weapon is 1 hit kill. Not even sniper rifle into head. Not even with upgrades. The only exeption for this is headshot from Ramjet Rifle. Classes: Assault: Has access to heavy weaponry. Default inventory: Grenade launcher, Pistol, Explosive grenade Inventory slots: Spec. Weap.(1)/Primary, Secondary, Grenades Medic: Has access to healing tools, and tiberium equipment Default inventory: Healing tool, Autorifle, Pistol Inventory slots: Spec. Weap.(1), Primary, Secondary Recon: Has access to sniper rifles in primary weapons list, melee weapons, recon equipment. Special equipment for Nod - stealth suit and controller. Player can hold either controller for stealth suit or a weapon. Stealth suit has its own energy that recharges when outside of stealth mode. Special equipment for both - Airstrike, Timed c4, smoke grenade Default inventory: Knife, autorifle, pistol Inventory slots: Spec. Weap.(1), Spec. Weap.(2)/Primary, Spec. Weap.(3)/Secondary/Grenade Engineer: Has access to engineering tools. Special equipment: Mines, AT mines, Remote c4, Repair gun Default inventory: Repair tool, Mines, Autorifle, Pistol Inventory slots: Spec. Weap.(1), Spec. Weap.(2), Spec. Weap.(3)/Primary, Spec. Weap.(4)/Secondary Skill tree Each class has its own unique skill trees Skill points are limited (12 max) Skills can be mixed from all skill trees, but there is 1 special skill on bottom of each tree, and player need to invest at least 10 points to get there. Characters look depends on picked upgrades. Upgraded Health makes character look bigger. Upgraded armor add kevlar and armor. Upgraded damage makes weapon look better and characters look more advanced so he looks like officer for example. If engineers explosion protection is upgraded, it adds flak jacket and then flak suit, that increases armor a little bit also. If medics enviromental protection is upgraded, it gives him hazmat mask, and then hazmat suit, that also increases armor a little bit. Skill trees: Assault: Destroyer || Tank || Balanced Medic: Healer || Tiberium || Balanced Recon: Infiltrator || Marksman || Balanced Engineer: Engineering || Saboteur || Balanced Balanced: is same for all classes. It offers a little bit of everything to make your universal soldier. Assault: Destroyer || Improves performance of all the weapons. Offers special abilities to increase killing potential of Assault class. Tank || Focuses on health and armor upgrades. Improving incoming healing, and incoming repair. Medic: Healer || Improves all healing related equipment. Tiberium || Increases resistance to fire, and tiberium. Improves tiberium, and fire related equipment. Recon: Infiltrator || Buffs athletic, stealth (for Nod), and survival abilities. Promotes melee weapons usage, and adds silencer to secondary weapons. Improves melee damage protection. Focuses on improving Timed C4 Marksman || Improves ranged weapons in general (not only sniper rifles), airstrike, smoke grenade, stamina. Further upgrades secondary weapon by lowering equip time and reload time. Top skill unlocks Ramjet Rifle and adds several more upgrades. Engineer: Engineering || Improves support potential, and equipment such as proxy mines, AT mines, repair, buffs, and vehicles Saboteur || Focuses on explosion resistance. Improves remote c4, and fire base weapons. Unlocks rocket launcher, and advanced firethrower as a primary weapon. I could make detailed skills for each tree, but it would take me more time than I would like to invest into this atm. Vehicles Vehicles are far more expensive, but also does more damage to another vehicles, and infantry. Fire rate of tanks is slower. I also agree that primary focus should be on infantry gameplay, but I still want vehicles to fulfill its crutial role on the battlefield. I think Battlefield game is a good example of how vehicles should act.
  21. I rly like ideas of most of u guys. Iam surprised. I ll add my perspective of view. I want to see RenX more RTS like, make more complex changes towards RTS feeling. Starting with rebalancing of every unit to changing game mechanics. Infantry: Remove c4 from most of the characters, while increasing their hard damage (anti building, anti tank damage). Keep timed c4 for engineers and adv. engineers only. Every weapon does good damage to master panel now. decrease TTK the way Yosh suggested it. Make it so head shot is rewarding skill, but is not complete necessary. I see HS multiplier being 1.25x or 1.5x no unit can 1 shot kill paid character rework/rebalance every character/characters weapon to make them even more specialized and make them OP in what they do, while making them weak in other ways, but still able to defend themselves with secondary weapon. Infantry is not very cost effective compared to vehicles, add: armor regeneration. Starts after 8s of not taking any damage, smooth 15%/s regen. infinite ammo. Team-wide veterancy: to unlock characters, items to buy, and vehicles Buildings: No longer actively repairable. Building now repair its armor automaticaly with acceptable rate, no matter if its still taking damage. Keep armor same, but increase its health 5x or even more. Everybody need to play offensive now to defend and win. I imagine this like there will be big red arrow and big red dot on the map of the attacker saying "BUILDING IS UNDER ATTACK, ALL UNITS OUT OR YOU WILL FREAKIN DIE!!!". promixity mines are no longer primary building defence. Add damaging rechargeable lazors (3 in doors, 2 in windows) connected to control panel lying on the wall outside of the building, that can be hacked with repair thingie, and fixed with friendly repair thingie. promixity mines are destroyable with weapons now. No more team limit Vehicles: Only 1 repair gun/tool at the time is able to repair vehicles. Adv. rep. gun has higher priority than repair gun. Repair gun has higher priority than repair tool. No more headshot multiplier for tanks with explosive projectiles. No airstrike time limit: People will spend their money eventualy so there is no need for time limit. Summarizing it all, I want to encourage players to play more agressively, since its the most enjoyable part of the game. Not watching mines, not repairing... playing offensive it is
  22. I ve created one "hardcore mutator" myself back in 2015. Never been rly finished tho, bcs it was too big of a challenge for me. And it does not work for current version anymore TTK was calculated to be 0.55s - 0.88s, no character was able to 1 shot kill infinite ammo, all weapons changed and rebalanced, armor regeneration, no headshot multiplier full changelist in 2nd post https://renegade-x.com/forums/topic/74020-hardcore-mutator/
  23. I like the idea of making both APCs more different from each other, but I dont think that what you suggest is the right way of doing so.
  24. @Sarah! Look, everybody knows that mines system was always an issue. Its boring, its flawed, it opens a lot of space for mistakes that could be frustrating for everybody, and mainly its players developed rule that everybody has to follow, bcs there is no other way to defend building entrances - and that is just wrong by itself. Also infantry does not feels right. But this one is very subjective thing.. I think it could be done better. Make them even more different, and specilized from each other. Add a little bit of this "tactical feeling". One example: I dont rly think that grenadiers rushing into cqc spamming nades under his feets and jumping like crazy is ok... I think this character could be very useful in different ways. Nades: 4-5s fuse delay, bigger explosion radius, bigger damage, slow fire rate. No secondary fire. Explodes on contact with vehicles and MCT only, but it halfes its explosion radius. There is much more I could add, but mostly its just my subjective vision. Mines are like n1 thing that needs to go.. its not just my opinion, its the matter of flawed system.
  25. Just look at ppl who stayed, and play every day. Loyal hardcore gamers. They often wear their high titles.. they are server owners, moderators.. They like how it is, otherwise they would leave just like everybody else. And these people want to keep is this way - and everything and developement depends on their stale taste. Cnc renegade was never succesful and ren x does same mistakes. RenX needs fresh new approach. Game flaws that are ignored, and quick-fixed by rules and bans are my number one concern. But it is "fixed" and even tho its boring well who cares bcs this is part of the game, so everything is just fine. Epic lol
