  1. Is waiting room planned in any future launcher update to help filling low pop server?
  2. Well, if we want to discuss about toxicity of players, we need to name the source of toxicity related to RenX. Survey may help to calm a frustrated mind, and also may work in some cases, but cannot fix the source. So what may be source of toxicity?
  3. Think about balance and perspectivity of each individual character. Engi and adv. engi already does many important things in the game. Remember that before big RTS update, the engineers were the most cost effective characters only becouse of purchaseable sidearm weapons. I cant imagine a gameplay if this was added, but Iam very sure that it would be noticeable strategical buff to (not only) active base defending, and imo this is not what is needed.
  4. You wouldnt know what is rocket soldier for if it wasnt said to you? As I said.. too detailed info is irrelevant in such a game as RenX is. Since player find out what gun-type paced game the RenX is, they dont need more info than current visual bars + type of armor that character use. If dmg bar is full, it means that character deals shit ton of dmg, and 1 point clearly means that weapon does really shitty dmg. As I remember, there are also written pros and weaknesses for each characters. Oh now I remember that there are also several types of damage for each armor type. ^ this sht right up there will say, that your full dmg bar will do almost no damage to heavy armor for example. It is very clear what does each character do and I would even say that numbers confuse a player even more. There is no time to study such an unimportant things while playing.. if you rly want to study this unimportant detailed stats, you can use wiki. And it still wouldnt be any helpfull in any way.
  5. Too much info. First, there is nowhere to put this info. And too detailed info is irrelevant in such a RTS-FPS game as RenX is. It would be important if we had more types of assault rifles, or flamethrowers, explosives etc... but I think that it's very clear what does each class do. Each class do more or less its role, and thats whats important.
  6. Try to download .msi file itself http://file-server.download/Renegade-X/MULTIPLAYER/VERSION-5.271/ I'd recommend this option to be added to the downloads section by side with launcher, and torrent too. Why it was removed anyway?
  7. Hey, I coming up with a little thing, for lots of us it's maybe unimportant, becouse we used to it... I'am speaking about game chat and the way it's working. I think that pressing Enter to chat would be better than 2 buttons for opening 2 different chats. Switching between "All" and "Team" chat would be possible with pressing Tab key. Enter would open this small chat window as we know it, but this will be written in, without a possibility to delete it. [TAB] All: _ and when you press Tab, chat switches [TAB] Team: _ After you close, or send the message, the Enter would open the last used chat. Enter is used for chatting in many games, and I think this way it would be more esthetic and clear. Sent messages would look the same as they are now. Current chat key buttons could be used for something else in the future maybe (maybe team fund? Or whatever). What do you think?
  8. Team fund sounds nice to me, but thats all. Setting maximum amount of credits is additional annoyance. Donating to team fund should be one time operation, not automatical. Donating and withdraw needs to be very clear, and intuitive. Amount of credits in the fund needs to be on the screen. Iam sometimes running with 10k+ credits, and wanna donate to team somehow, so Iam used to often ending up with spamming tanks for example, which is not very safe... and donating money to the individuals is annoying. Adding team fund would be very nice move.

    This question was flying around for a very long time. If I remember good, the devs didnt want to add it for some reason. I'am for adding voice chat. I mean, you could vote to mute certain player anytime. The problem starts when the troll make it seriouse, and starts to reconnect just to play loudest orgasm in the world loop, or some other things.. (yeah Ive beed doing it myself on counterstrike servers sometimes...). This would mean that mods and admins need to IP mute them manually, and before they do, the troll may ruin the day for everybody on the server. Maybe allow using voise chat from certain amount of reputation points? Like 5+ reps
  10. Must say, I've been playing since beta 3, but I had the same problem in beta 5 only, but then I magically fixed it somehow. Cant remember how I did it. I wouldnt be surprised if many other people had problems with trying to make this game to work. Anyway, GL in your journey to migrate Renegade X into the UE4. I was trying myself, but I stuck at switching the weapons.. animations just gone crazy when I tried to switch the weapon and then my compiter died so.. no progress now.
  11. Did you have any issues while installing offered updates in windows updater? Will there appear any problem when you try to manually download and install the latest versions of: Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, and .NET Framework (usually not needed for games , but some launchers/game installers needs it) ..?
  12. This was happening to me too. I couldnt connect to any server for a days, but then it magically started to work after I did something. Do you have your windows updater turned on? And do you keep your computer up to date? Are you getting any errors while trying to install the updates? and...em...just between us...are you even using legal version of the windows? One is never too careful, and can overlook bad updates.

At the end of each round the display shows: Most repairs done to the buildings: name - points Most repairs done to the vehicles/characters: name - points Most damage done to the buildings: name - points Most damage done to the vehicles/characters: name - points offtopic: remove death count and reolace it with destroyed vehicke count Explanations: damage done/repairs done = points gained for certain activity.. I wonder how do you want devs to program an intelligent program that would detect and decide who deserves a special point - and why only for repairing a building?. I think that this decision should be left to the players by using !rec. Most people dont need to watch the hero to know if and who deserves that.. and also there is mostly around 38 friendly eyes anyway, watching just in case...

    I meant it like removing whole renegade team (gunner, Havoc, Sydney, deadeye, Mobius, Mc Fart, Patch, hottie, and villain team: Sakura, doza, ravesaw) with a mutants, and random elite soldier types, while keeping their weapons. Examples been shown in the pictures. Me personaly would prefer replacing, but I can understand why do people like these units as they can see them as an icons of this game.

    ^ huh you may by righ about Havoc, becouse I remember they've changed Havoc into the commando unit since beta 4. Hes got carbine, 2 remote c4's, and ramjet rifle, and high HP, so I associated him with commando unit since everybody started calling him like that. Dunno what's his status now.. havent played for a while. My memories can be twisted But it doesnt matter, the core of the question is different.

And why do you prefer one option more than the other one?
  18. Why not? I mean.. Renegade X is based on UT3 codes. Assets been used too as the base of the project. Everything been just edited + own content added. In the final product u just gotta remove anything thats related to c&c. Or am I missing something? or are you playing some kind of the game like: you can, actually you cannot.. i mean, you shouldnt ;D
  19. @Madkill40 laser dont need to be a thing that harms, and it wouldnt be a replacement for a doors also (It would be just there when the door opens). It may only just give an idea so someone who walks by, that "oh this entrance may be actually protected somehow"..and then he will notice a panel next to it. Its nothing hi-tech that only Nod can use.
  20. @j0g32 as I said, designed mine area would be one of the solutions. Not the perfect one, but defenitely a solution. Keeps mine placement procedure on the players. Then there are another 2 solutions, imo the better ones, becouse it removes a mine placement procedure from a players. If there was such a thing as a building antiinfiltration device since a very begining (2002) would anyone even think about removing that, and replace it with current chaotic mines system? I dont think so. I've been participating in discussions againts current mines system 2 years ago (maybe longer), so its not like it's just now ppl have "decided" that system needs to change.. this problem always been there, this mines system was always crappy.
  21. If you have a problem with discussions, maybe you should stop participating in them, and avoid the whole feedback section next time, becouse its full of ideas, and suggestions, and opinions.
  22. Making defending more fun is a whole new topic. If you increase the reward for defenders, it would only make active defending more prestige = more base bitching ≠ no fun for attackers nor defenders. Or trying to make defending the base more fun by adding new feature, would result only in active defending being too OP. If you want to discuss about how to make defending more fun, I suggest to create a new topic. My opinion on active defence been always mobilized counter attack, but the details are way too controvelsal to be written down there, and I dont want to discuss it in "passive defence" thread.
