If we can't fund the game, maybe we can fund a (legal) team. I am not sure how it works, but here in the Netherlands it would be disturbing if I were contacted by a lawyer cause it would mean something is not right, but from what I understand it's more common and 'the way' to do this in the USA? Maybe someone can give feedback on this? Instead of trying to reach EA by a lot off different approaches we might be able to hire someone who can do an official contact attempt. Any ideas on this?

The value is lower, but still important for when you lose the ref for example.

Just came up with this 'idea' since I noticed I am not the only one anymore complaining about (a lot off ) teamhampering lately, today a whole truckload of frequent players ragequit cause of this. I know it's a good thing new players show up, but it's also making a decent game impossible sometimes. i wonder how many people would go for a 'pro server.' Imagine there would be one extra step to join the server (donating? checking a forum?) The pass would change every now or than, but people have to do a bit off effort to join. Everyone can still play on the normal servers, but with enough people you can get the 'more decent' players together more often and we aren't shutting anyone out, cause if you have the skill to 'read' and 'think 'can also come over there by checking the topic on howto join with the pass in it (for example) It would just shift the people who really don't realize what they are doing from the ones who are aware of this. I think the playerbase is too small atm for this, but I am setting up this thread to see what people think about it as a first step. Maybe a good moment to do further steps if people like it and when AOW and Marathon get merged...? Too bad I can't do a poll. I know I would be willing to pay for this cause it would boost the feeling I am actually playing a game above 'opposite russian roulette' where I just have to be lucky that I catch that one time there is a nice game going on...

I guess that it's a DDOS problem. Just wait till you can access the CT server when it is up in a while.

Do you know when this happened? Might not be a problem on your side, but on the servers, maybe due the DDOSER being active?

I know, but still! I don't mind what happens, as long as CrashSite is in it (if Ruud wants it). BTW: not sure what's still to be done on your map Kenz, but you can decide if it's ready more better than I can ofc Also good to keep things sharp Minji!

Usually I would agree with you and maybe this goes for a few maps. but in case of Crashsite I think it was tested a milion times, but never how it turned out when you play the real game. But doesn't the same go for Snow? I think that, if a map is properly tested for glitches and stuff, it's a good idea to release it to the public and see what it does when people play it. Also note: there is only one serious server right now (CT) so if a map has serious issues it can be disabled till they are fixed. After all we are still finding issues in maps which have been there since beta1 cause players just do odd things we almost never come up with in a testing session. Also 20 vs 20 is something quite different than a few dedicated testers... Sidenote: if I am optimistic it's still not good Edit: Redline basically said the same...

STOP THE PRESSES! Yosh, you forgot that Crashsite is finished and Beachhead is also ready (I guess). Imagine Tomb, crashsite, snow, cliffside, Beachhead AND GrassyKnoll released. That would add 6 extra map's and will have people talking about the game. Hope you can include them. Not that I want to rush anything, but when can we expect it? EDIT: there is also an updated version of Eyes, not sure if you are aware of this?

That's why I said IF you see multiple C4. If you see someone placing it is quite different, but when you are not sure how long the c4 is planted you should decide in a split second.

If you see multiple C4 on the MCT dont hesitate to sell your unit (if bar is still alive) to get engineer / technician / hotwire in order to remove C4. Mine the INSIDE of the strip, not the front, people can jump the roof. Same goes for mining the base front, people can be dumped over it by a vehicle.

Hmm, I like the fact the topic starter took the time to write this down, but I am not sure if these suggestions work. I can't see the problem of not having access to the HON for 30 secs. for example. Of course the time is debatable, but only building which has really impact is the defense system. Why not bring back Ion storms? Or have something like this purchasable by teamcredits. Imagine you could shut down base defenses for two minutes on Field, would break the stalemat for sure!

Ok Tony, maybe use a normal font so my eyes wont burn out...? I didn't make it cause I wasn't sure it the PUG would be on. Would be good if we can 'guarantee' it to happen, otherwise I have plenty of stuff to do. Would love to play though..

So, if I am not mistaken we have: A helipad (Kenz made this) A team silo (looks cool Thommy) A repairpad (Henk!) Just wondering if they can be implemented just like other buildings in the editor. I think the community is really doing good work here. Maybe some of the original creators can be inspired to help a bit

If it's there I suggest making it available. Which keys aren't in use yet? Just pick one and put it in the changelog so people know?

Never thought about capturable sam sites before, nice touch... I like this map to be flying but for some reason people have something against this. Anyways, also as mentioned on the CT forum, map looks really, really well. I am not saying others aren't cool, but this one stands out when you see the image from some distance. Very appealing!

I wouldn't want the obelisk removed, but a bit changed would be fine. One thing I REALLY think is important is the following: - make obelisk target the 'heaviest / strongest unit first' OR exactly the opposite way. Now you can't rely on what's been hit. Sometimes I sneak in during a vehicle rush and the obelisk shoots me first instead of the vehicles, but it also happens vise versa. I think one of the beta1 testers _error allready made a pretty specific topic about obelisk and AGT behaviour. In old Ren-x you could 'easier' evade both defense mechanism. Good to see you working on this Rypel! EDIT: I missed the fact that this post was created based on _errors post, but imo he is the men to talk to cause he wrote this down into detail.

Would Henk, Ruud and Iontech be able to 'upgrade' the old models to a new updated look? I mean Henk did the dam and Iontech afaik the ship in Ruuds map.

I think removing the C&C units will make the game less appealing, but what about funding new features for the game. RypeLcam could have been a seperate sidetraject which could be used in this game, but was funded like a seperate thing and so on. Maybe we could move this to a seperate topic?

Can we do a few 'playtests' with different versions of Field again? Main problem isn't the field for me, but the fact that you have to camp the 'upper plateau' inside the tunnels to block both ones. On a usually match of field up to 8 snipers are camping the tunnel. A third different inf. path would have a lot. Changing the block at ref can also help, but you need to get through the tunnels first...
