We don't plan on adding the CYard to RX mode. It doesn't fit in with the gameplay and it would make bases too big.

We have most of the stuff made for the things we have planned, and I don't think recruiting anyone would change much. We have very high standards for art, and not many people want to devote the time needed to create art that matches our standards, and do it for free. I don't see how points are a useful metric whatsoever for sorting teams. There's no real way to figure out the "skill" level of people just from 1 matches analytics

Images are broken, using dx11 will cause you to recompile all materials, so it's gonna take 30mins - 1hr depending on your cpu

Slight but not really necro here: If anyone has any ideas for things that need to be changed for the game to match the original, feel free to either submit and issue on the repo or just comment here. I've played both games quite extensively, but I was never a "veteran" player of the original. All ideas and contributions are welcome!

DId you join from launcher? It doesn't work if you choose that map and you don't have it downloaded. It will disconnect you.

Map is too big (file and actual size), map is full of gimmicks, map is FAR too expensive in resources (you basically have to use x64 or it crashes), map downloading isn't really supported, building shaders takes quite some time for people as well. Those are a few of the reasons.

They're all just references in your registry to the game, it keeps getting aded because the patches include a specific file that makes the game "register" itself again with your pc.

The official Renegade-X server has a ruleset that follows our guidelines for everything else. On top of those, don't abuse any bugs or exploits. (No base to base, no hacking, no out of map, dont buy aircraft on non-aircraft map (a good recent example) etc) Lastly, just respect others, and please follow whatever a moderator says, we are here to make sure the game is fun and fair for everyone.
