Stop using drugs and stop suggesting terrible things.
-
As far as I know all of them can. Thats including air vehicles.
-
I really hope they would scrap the vehicle sprinting. Such a terrible feature.
-
Lets just say the bots could use a massive improvement. The way they were talking about them in the stream, I actually thought using them was viable. But they really aren't. They're like the old ones, except they can use vehicles. Thats.. it. Well, you can make them follow you, too. I'd really love for bots to get advanced enough since I feel like the game will just die off.

I get the crashes in multiple instances: -When entering a game (half the time I need to join twice to actually get in) -When the game would end (generally when a beacon would strike at the end, I just crash) This did not happen in beta 1 -When the game tries to switch map (I don't actually get to the new game) -The new game loads fine but there's a delay before you actually join and the match start -> at that moment I often crash Game has plenty of crashing alright.

You're wide open, too, quite easy to abuse. You know, this brings me one thing I dearly despise about Renegade X. Invisible walls. Oh, well that goes with the bad physics. The physics shouldn't allow you to go over things so stupidly. Likewise, you shouldn't be blocked by stupid invisible walls everywhere. I'm sure "fixing this" for htem would just mean throwing invisible vehicle blockers or some such, and that just gets annoying as hell. Personally I don't even see a problem with vehicles on the walls, though.

I don't think that hotwire deserves it. However, Mobius kind of does and it just fits him perfectly... well, in my eyes anyway.
-
I definitely see some jittering, nothing too heavy though. Rarely disrupts my shots but on occasion when sniping at long distance a sprint will just magically teleport left or right just slightly, enough to matter. Thats actually why I don't go for the head most of the time. (and why I don't use the 500$ sniper) The game is only missing SEVERE prediction issues when vehicles make contact with infantry, though. I'm sure everybody here got pushed by a friendly vehicle. The "lag" and jitters it create is just... insane.

One thing I feel is missing from this game
SFJake replied to tekgunman's topic in Feedback & Bug Reports
V only shows location, not what unit they are using or which vehicles. -
Uh, what? If you can't kill a building with a siege and the other team has no ref, then the sieging becomes nothing but giving the other team money. And it makes sense to be able to get some decent money by damaging things. Period. I said nothing beyond that.
-
Basically, what you just told me, is that the enemy team was stupid enough to give you repair money when you had no source of cash. Thats not having too much money in the "economy". Of course I'm used to play Marathon, where points don't matter.
-
Shimmering when hit (and sprint) is really something that needs to be in this game, 100% agree.
-
There is? Money flows well when there's ref and silos. Money doesn't flow at all without ref and silos. They should probably lower the repair reward anyway but otherwise we need to have ways to make money on our own.
-
It did happen in beta 1 and it happened pre-beta as well. Still no sign of a fix and devs don't seem to understand it, even. I always see something (like what I guess is an explosion) stretch out accross hte skybox and it "freezes" there, like you said for 10-20 seconds. It also only happens in certain maps. Walls being the most common.

I can't tell you how many times I like to push forward with a tank to finish off a retreating opponent, and when in that time I decide I'm safe to move somewhere a stealth tank starts blasting me, they screwed me. I think some people underestimate the surprise factor in tank battles, since there is nothing worst than getting caught in a bad position. Tank battles is all about positioning. It can just get tricky especially in how some maps are laid out, to make full use of the stealth tank. A lack of vehicle routes is a real problem for stealth tanks.
-
I'm not going to argue specifics personally since I have no idea how it even is in Renegade X, but I agree with the overall principle that getting credits in certain places is way too slow. I don't think there should be an act of damage or repair that should feel "unrewarding" credits wise. When out of Ref its really too annoying.
-
I don't really agree. Right now stealth is overpowered, period. Needs a drastic nerf. Its right next to me that its incredibly difficult to spot. Its just insane. More specific counters would be nice but the basics needs a fixing.

turn off Map voting killing the servers walls is none stop
SFJake replied to rytlock's topic in Renegade X
Your prime hours. I get to play mostly in 7 hours from this post. Check it out then. I generally have only 1 potential server, 2 is being very lucky. -
Beacons when SPOTTED on the mini-map. Its called game systems replacing communication, nobody has to say HEY GUYS THERE'S A BEACON THERE, no, everybody knows once someone spotted it. Friendly beacons of course should show always, they actually did in the old Renegade, but now I have no idea where my team places their beacons. Voice chat is terrible with anything but people you know. And I don't "know" or befriend people online, thus I don't talk with them, thus I hate voice chat, and I've never really seen it effective in public games of anything larger than 20 players, unless like I said you're only talking to friends. In which case I don't want to hear you, because you're going to also be chatting other irrelevant crap in my hear.

An pubbies dont use it. EVER. Im glad you can use Teamspeak with great affectiveness in organised matches once a week, but that doesnt help the game in general which is mostly pub play. And Fable III coop also lacks VOIP capability. And what the heck that has in common with a team and teamwork based shooter? The thing you must understand is currently theres barely any cooperation in pub matches. The side that has at least 2 people communicating through voice comms outside of the game generally mops the floor with the other one. I had a game with 4 clan members in one game on the other side using Teamspeak, and we got beat so hard it wasnt even funny. The communication tools at our disposal just isnt enough to get people organised. I can spot a horde of hotwires storming the powerplant, nobody will give a shit, since people generally ignore the randomly spammed 1 Enemy Spotted at xx messages. Its just not effective enough. I can spam Defend the powerplant! Defend the powerplant! Defend the powerplant! and vets will know something is wrong, but i cant tell others i saw 2 beacons planted around it before i got horribly murdered by an incoming Orca thats defending the beacons. I can write what i saw and maybe repeat it for good measure, but when i type im stationary and defenseless, not doing anything to stop them myself, and typing takes valuable time away from the team to understand and act according to my findings. And even then there will be people who will miss my message because its not indistingvishable from random banter, and/or they are focusing on other things. Or i could just shout Omagawd! Omagawd! 3 hotties are planting beacons on da plant! Ya niggaz get ya ass down here and shoot dat sonuvabiatch Orca while ya at it! under 5 seconds. Everyone will get the right message. ^^ Thats what I call a game flaw. Beacons could be spottable and show up then on the radar in a VERY obvious fashion. In fact, spotted enemies should show just the same. Didn't spotting tell if there's more than 1 enemy? If it doesn't, it should. If you spot an enemy and he's surrounding by 10 guys, the game should determine that and put this as part of the message. The chat also really could use better coloring. Yes yes, Nod is Red. Nod is hard as hell to read. GDI is a bit hard, too. Needs to be more obvious. These are game flaws. Having random kids spouting random stuff all day just to have people have a chance to use "team work" is not my idea of fixing any problem the game has with cooperation. Instead, a game makes cooperation easier by design.

Idea on how to finish sige camping on field
SFJake replied to omega79's topic in Feedback & Bug Reports
I think that'd be a pretty good change, to be honest, but I really like any idea that would push Field just a little bit farther than it is since I just don't really like the map, its too simple in design for large games. (also needs the barn, what about linking the tunnels under the map and to the barn, too? yeah, too ridiculous I guess) -

The one thats alive? I still have to deal with NoAmmo being popular when its a marathon with no crates. When do players -actually- choose here? -
The patch didn't help, it split the community and makes old people go "hey wtf, this game is even more bugged" with being unable to get in servers and by now, thats no server at all. Which is awful. Old players will just be unable to enter the game if they didn't update and have now arning, etc. The game will really just have to hope for a rerelease. Crashes and bugs makes people quit, nevermind some balancing issues. Actually, the crash are somewhat of a balance issue, too. Team with the unluckiest crashes can lose early game and it kills entire games. People were also whining about airstrike is OP in game far more than they ever are now whining about airstrikes.

Field: to easy for Nod to activate beacons
SFJake replied to Darkraptor's topic in Feedback & Bug Reports
This is an asymmetrical game. You can't just judge by saying "Team 1 can do it, but Team 2 can't". -
Orca hellfire missiles auto-explode after ~10 meters?!
SFJake replied to Alex89's topic in Renegade X
Why not just make the Ramjet an anti-light vehicle class. What I'd REALLY do is just make it a poor sniper overall. That would make them less common. People are so annoyed by their anti-light vehicle class yet if we didn't have them, artilleries and aircraft would just have their way too easily. Making the class a much poorer anti-infantry class (and reduce the normal sniper's damage to light vehicle significantly) would bring forth more variety but wouldn't kill the importance of being able to deal with artilleries and aircrafts from afar. I mean, like I said, in the Renegade world it makes sense to me that ramjet rifles are good at that, its kind of a thing that no other class can actually do at all. Really when it comes down to it, isn't the one-shot/two body shot sniper kill whats the worst thing in the game?
