In addition to this the team which loses a building (A) now has one less building to focus on defending which means that team (A) will now be situated around the remaining structures making it harder for sneaky infiltration from the other team (B), if team (B) do not take advantage by other tactics then team (A) always have a chance to win. If Team (A) has Team (B) pinned down at their own base but Team (B) infiltrates Team (A) in the mean time and kills a team (A) building this can sometimes make players from Team (A) at the front retreat, when really team (A) should hold their ground or push into Team (B)'s base. If you kill a refinery, you will piss off the enemy team, but if you kill a production building you will piss on a teams morale which can be more beneficial for your teams' success. If you kill a PowerPlant you will make people rage and it is hilarious.

  5. I'm kinda curious how to do the preview image myself. I think the preview video [i.e. Loading screen for the map] just needs to share the same name as the map itself, put into the correct folder within the Renegade-X directory and be of the same video filetype?

  7. Fixed. Tip: Lets not go overboard and over-complicate @YagiHige's idea. However, let's just throw in a Hyperthetical-X, Lets say the donation request has a timer of 20 seconds; H-X 1: 4 people hit F1, the timer of 20 seconds ends and the game automatically divides up the credits from the 4 players and gives them to the requesting player which makes your player requesting 900 credits happy, however this costs the team time [if you consider other requests] and thus is impractical when instead... H-X 2: One player who can afford the request hits F1 and the requested amount is immediately donated from Player A to Player B, now another player can put in a request a lot sooner and the credits can be dished out. H-X 1 - encourages the poorest player to ask for credit handouts. H-X 2 - encourages all players to be reasonable when asking for credit handouts. Y'know? This isn't the first discussion on this particular topic, but it's going down the same path as last time with Testman's post. H-X 2 all the way for speed, convenience and practicality and simplicity of original idea. We've already got a 'Donate' Button, can we have a "Request" option in the V menu? Both teams are to find and secure the silo as well as the Communications Center, there are reports of a damaged silo within the area so approach it with caution! Both GDI and Nod will need to be as harsh as the terrain on this battlefield. Good luck out there! You're gonna need it...   15. Created a copy in Frostbite's env so I can edit the material but that worked, marvelous!
  16. Cleanest way to reinstall a game is to delete it all then restart your PC, then install the game again, run launcher as administrator, try game, post back in here informing us how this did/didn't work.
  17. It'd be nice to combine the custom ice textures I've got with existing textures to have a more appealing map. Halp? P.S. Frostbite Redux Alpha released. It is very different.

So I'm just searching for UT3 maps for no Frosty-relatable reason and I come across this. http://www.utzone.de/forum/downloads.php?do=file&id=3883_Hostile-Worlds Whatever would fit into Commander Mode from this if possible, maybe even contact the developer of this. C&C: Commander Mode could create a new mode in Renegade X into professional appropriation. Mix that mode in with whatever you folks do with the mines and hey ho presto Renegade X establishes that beautiful decade to commemorate C&C. Booyah.
  20. Local voice chat is the only voice chat that is redeemable. Renegade-X should just have Voice-to-text chat instead, people would flock for the X's cock then.
  21. Pretty much just Ruud's feedback and then the map seems pretty much done and ready for patch. Also a new minimap and better EndGameCam is in order.
  22. Think I'm just gonna use Under's materials package for Frostbite from now on and just edit the appropriate textures for that if necessary.
  23. It had a tonne of work, now it's just minor work to tweak what's actually wrong with it in certain places.
  24. At this point I kinda feel that some of the voice commands could be localized for people within close proximity instead of in the global chat and could show up as a dark greenish colour. That way you know that "Get in the vehicle" or "Follow Me" is somebody nearby, its dark greenish so that contrast of colour from the basic red/yellow vibrant colours should be quite eye-catching. Anything building or Harvester related should remain global, anything outside of that (if applicable) should be localized, hopefully the actual sound can also be limited to the local proximity as well? The only time all voice commands are global is if you are the Primary Commander. This removes some of the general spam from the Team Global chat. This with <Insert Names> at the end of Voice Command sentences. maybe for repeated global cues such as "Building needs repair!" or "Defender the Power Plant!" maybe if all else fails a number can just sit besides the sound cue but it only counts the amount of different players saying it, so if one player spams the command it shows up the once, then if another player Q's the same voice command then it bumps that one line up to the top with a (2), the more times the same voice command is Q'd by different players the bigger the font gets (to a limited maximum) as well as being pushed back to the top. Example: When a player Q's the once: Player257: Anyone want to get in my transport? Player246: Building needs repair! (1) When another player Q's the same once: Player289: Building needs repair! (2) Player257: Anyone want to get in my transport? New message after the Q is twice'd: Player294: Intruders at base Entrance! Player289: Building needs repair! (2) Player257: Anyone want to get in my transport? When more players Q the same command for the same building: Player 285: Building needs repair! (4) Player257: Get in the vehicle, Player294! Player294: Intruders at base Entrance! Player257: Anyone want to get in my transport? The number has no limit, but the font should have a maximum size.
