  1. Demo is available now, I'll be on this evening with a bit of luck. https://store.steampowered.com/app/1188870/Earthbreakers/?fbclid=IwAR0huO-LVZz6ybdeRZwMX7_vMpQXyXmE12yBnDbTQgqvjvmwyE89zl3Mahs
  2. Everything seems a much quicker pace, but until it's released I'm not sure they're going to develop rush tactics, I can't tell if there's any sort of armoured personal carrier to encourage group infantry rushes. I got really bored watching people repair things and seeing people use the flame thrower class and both sides are exactly the same just different colours. It felt like I was watching a game of paint ball and the suits remind me of something like Halo, which I never got into as I never had one of these consoles, but there's lots of bunny hopping just like Unreal Tournament and other games. I think I like the idea of purchasable turrets, weapon upgrades, walls and buildings and they have 'bunker buster' bombs for buildings rather than C4 on control terminals. The harvesters are the most awesome thing in the game, in one clip I saw something go wrong with the physics engine and it got blown into the air and out of the map, which was funny. The art style looks nice in some areas like buildings and at close range, but it looks terrible at distance with the cut out filter style tree with black outlines. There's too much emphasis on their cartoon explosions, fiery trails and napalm everywhere, you almost can't see what you're doing or shooting at. I definitely think I would miss the mammoth tank, stealth tech, rail-gun weapons and the different factions. I take that part back, I can see they have mammoth tanks.
  3. Anyone else watching today's game play live stream? https://steamcommunity.com/broadcast/watch/76561197966223757?fbclid=IwAR3nvFVUrOnN1qpumw076c9OMXJCkwbPLC-wpbTmp1UlNNXhrSc26I5pMtk
  4. I think it's a good idea actually, but I wouldn't know how easy it is to do, I'd personally prefer something like up to 2 minutes so I can go for a bathroom break or grab a drink between games so I don't have to end up being AFK at the start of the next round. I think a little post game chat would be nice to review how things went, it usually spills into the next game, but by then I think you're expected to be ready for the new round. In the map selection chat box, you only have time to type one or two quite short sentences before the timer runs out.
  5. I've never seen that movie, but If found this about Soylent Green, I thought it was a soy product or something... "This is the year of 2022 where civilisation has collapsed, real food is reserved for the rich and the masses only high-nutrient sources, mass-produced by the Soylent Corporation" - this is only 2 years away! I do sort of get the feeling that certain types of foods or food groups such as meat are going to end up being reserved more for rich people, especially if the global population continues to grow, I don't know who tracks this sort of thing. Anyway, bring on matter replicators...
  6. Nod strike me as the kind of people whom subsist on injected tiberium or tiberium crystal meth, I bet they don't even eat food anymore. Even GDI would have to develop some sort of super-serum for their own soldiers to be able to compete on the battlefield. Imagine what would happen if all the Green Zones disappeared and there was no longer anywhere to grow food?
  7. This not an ion cannon in this case, it's about learning to game with love and so I've put together this players ascension guide for Renegade-X. Ascension is a real mystical process and is not merely fictional, in part it depends upon continuous self-improvement and getting recognition from your own God in order to move vertically up into a higher level of reality by rising in inner vibration and frequency. Light comes down from above usually in response to positive actions, good skills and helpful deeds. The following points have the added benefit of helping to prevent you from becoming bi-polar depressed, particularly at weekends if this is when you play. I've updated this guide to include some points about developing your gaming skills. Ignoring, neglecting your spiritual expectations is what will give you a heavy depression, i.e. bipolar-depression. The Science The human mind generates a parallel psychic experience similar to a VR environment, you can move around and visit people and places 'in the mind' like the Matrix movie, this happens independently of normal space, time or distance as thought and its near instantaneous if there's enough intention to interact with someone. Ascension usually takes place after a few quick flashes of psychic light - you can only see this if you've de-calcified your brain's pineal gland and activated the inner psychic eye. I never used to see this when I was younger, but I see it all the time now. Sometimes you may see soft washes of white light emanating from above you. People are sharing and exchanging energy with each other all the time in response to positive or favourable interactions both in your thoughts and during in game or pre-game chatting. General Life Areas If you like to play in PUGs, watch how many weekdays you also playing Renegade (or other games) as the risk is you may get marked as being game addicted and this is the nemesis of gaming as it creates depressions, jump on for a game here and there to practise and enjoy playing. Working hard - if you want to be a gamer you must balance the expectations of needing to do real world work during the week with periods that you like to watch games, television or media recreation. It's also likely going to mean you'll have a higher quality partner and you'll get to flirt more, this will help prevent you from becoming depressed or overly isolated. If you have a partner wife/husband, girlfriend/boyfriend or partner you can't simply ignore them in favour of playing games. You need to balance your time and doing activities with them as well, else this will be a bipolar-depression trigger. Don't allow your room or space to become really filthy - tidy away those pots, clear your cans/bottles, clear up your socks, put away clean clothes and empty your bin. This sort of thing actually contributes to your 'work cp' so you have more game time/spiritual credit. Cheating - don't consider or even think about or entertain the idea of cheating or hacking - this will get you karma and will even make you depressed. Don't be that douche-bag who tries to take down a gaming server through denial of service attacks. When you're playing games don't incessantly moan or complain, don't hog the comm channels with your speaking, don't deliberately keep speaking over others, be sure you're listening to the people you need to listen to, keep insults civil or proportioned, do your best not to think disproportionately hostile thoughts about irritating players you may experience. You can actually get into psychic fights in the mind, think of this as Neo and Morpheus sparring - but too much harm or aggression in the mind will introduce harm into your physical body as bad energy, stress and tension. Don't put off important things you need to do first, like fixing or washing your car, looking after your pet, watering plants etc. If you find you've got a headache and a compressed head and you constantly keep hearing the words "must suffer", this usually means you've violated someone in some way, sometimes its a game thing and sometimes it's a mind/psychic reality thing. If you want to un-do this post game, you need to ensure you work hard at something like a chore, clean the house, wash the pots, do some yoga and you'll lift it eventually. If you've got a serious alcoholism problem it's likely also going to interfere with your use of mind, your thoughts and intentions. Sort out as many of your disagreements and inter-personal relationship problems as you can, if you don't this will sap your time and energy and can put you into a mindset of seeking revenge and can make you depressed, especially if it's a disproportionate response. When you make mistakes, be honest with yourself and others, don't try to hide things as this can foster resentment and lead to unrealistic appraisals of yourself. Don't spend all your time inside your house, seriously this is something I used to do too often, it will actually make you ill. Take care of personal hygiene, washing/showering, grooming and dressing well or properly, if you don't already... it improves the quality of your mind interactions, so don't think you can sit and play in your underpants. After each game or pug you play, you need to release the muscle tension, these muscles contract in response to particular thoughts, like say you're too fearful of attacking a good player, or you make a mistake like blocking the tank path for someone. You can do something different to relax or meditate, else otherwise this stuff will naturally bleed out into the mind/body when you go to sleep next. Be nice to the new players and help them with areas you spot where they are unlearned or making obvious mistakes. Don't pirate or steal your games or software - this is a definite source of vampire karma and it will even change how you look as the mind applies tension to shape your muscles and features. Don't expect to be able to avoid your family and have a smooth time without developing some sort of chronic health problem in turn - call them on the phone, go and visit, write them an e-mail. etc. If you own a pet dog, cat etc, you need to walk them, feed them and give them some attention as else you're going to become depressed and emotionally depleted. Attitude, mind and personal disposition in game makes a real big difference, don't be overly defeatist, pessimistic or otherwise drag your team down. Don't expect to be able to buy a bunch of different games and then not finish any of them, I usually make this mistake with books although occasionally I buy indie games that I can't be bothered to play. Don't buy or try to play too many premium games at the same time as you won't have time or really appreciate the game. Common problem themes include things like addictions, drug addictions, porn addictions, sleeping-in-addicts, sexual perversions, racism, lack of morality, psychopathy when it comes to not respect fictional violence versus real life violence. If you're a man, don't become a 'wanker' or masturbation addict, you lose energy when you do this, doesn't really affect women for some reason. if you use porn, be careful about what you think, as often you're creating a psychic connection with someone to interact with in mind and if bad things happen here or something goes wrong it usually affects your physical health. Don't expect to be able to use porn and keep a secure relationship going with someone unless you're happy for them to become sexually loose with other people they like to hang around with. Learn to sit back and appreciate the media you view and consume, appreciate the food that you eat, it's about not becoming a mindless unconscious consumer as this irritates most people, including gods and higher beings that oversee everything. There are actual spiritual expectations about upgrading your stuff like your PC and graphics card, don't expect to be able to sit and play with that 10 year old computer, purchasing things you need is part of what keeps other people in jobs and ensures they produce future content and means developers don't get bogged down trying to support old legacy machines. General Game Points Be careful with the amount of time you spend 'dicking about' in public games or competitive games, read the mood, don't hamper the team deliberately, careful about exploiting bugs that you're not meant to be able to do. Clearly, alcoholism also affects performance in game, this isn't the same as having a few drinks during a game, it's more like downing half a bottle / whole of tequila, gin or vodka etc. I doubt you will get away with this during a pug, you need to be at a party. Player Skills Keep developing your chosen skills, develop situational awareness, learn to aim properly and track or lead your targets instead of waving your mouse in the general direction of the enemy player. Seriously, I do this more often than I should, if you focus your mind and track your target diligently, this is often what makes the difference of getting your kill in a one versus one. Balance your role and play style - don't expect to be able to just tank every week or just sit in a mammoth tank all game whilst others repair you. Take up repairing someone else for at least some of the time. The same also seems to apply to being a sniper all the time, too many wasted attempts at things like sneaking with hot wires as this undermines the team in competitive games. If don't ever repair buildings, you probably need to do some of this, if you never defend, you probably need to do some of this also. Overwhelming Strength - most of this is about being competitively fair and allowing everyone to enjoy the game, if you persistently 'gang rape' other infantry players you might get a depression. If you run into a team mate engaged in a balanced fire fight, it's not always sensible to try and support by targeting down the enemy player. This isn't the same as protecting someone as weaker character like a hot wire. How will I know when I ascend? Usually before this there's an abrasive energy around you and you probably create a lot of fear vibrations, when you ascend this will disappear, but for now you need to make sure you shower every day, change your clothing, open windows, keep any unreasonable anger in check, limit your swearing. Usually the gods go over things like performance at the end of the day or a particular time of the week, but initially you need to keep up a good consistent record in your life. To be able to see spiritual light, I had to do a practise of meditation for quite some time, but I see it as a soft wash of light that sort of pours down gently when eyes are closed. The opposite of ascending is falling, and this happens when you create too many problems, hostilities or don't take care of the other areas in your life that you need to. Some people have to go through spiritual crisis before they can ascend, this is when you confront an entity known as Satan that tempts you into toxic choices... only once you can resist this sort of stuff and it becomes inwardly conditioned are you allowed into the inner plane's Christian's call heaven. If you have deficient skills or problem areas in your life, people often inwardly hear and share this information with one another through the mind and it goes directly into your soul/consciousness. Anything else I can do to speed things up? There are about 3 prayers I use regularly, and I try and mix them up and listen to the inner feedback in mind. These beings include Archangel Michael/Raphael, the traditional Lord's Prayer and a prayer to Jesus. You can find variants online if you google them. Sometimes I get immediate thoughts as feedback in the mind, other times it's soft impressions or gut feelings from the body. Occasionally prayers will produce a specific type of dream that goes straight into your consciousness. What happens more rarely is someone will speak back to you in a none corporeal voice. If you're not spooked by paranormal or supernatural stuff, you can pray directly to Satan asking it to 'test you, but often you will get Jesus come instead as this show a clear and deliberate effort to remove the blocks that are influencing your life. You can also pray to the evil Serpent, the purpose of this entity is to be able to directly to see into sources of evil in your life, so be prepared for some blunt or honest feedback. Being able to respond to feedback enables you to grow and ascend more quickly. If I think of other things I'll come back and update this post.
  8. I was hoping this would happen, both Tiberium Wars and Kane's Wrath are on sale for half price, snap them both up if you don't already have them. I used to own a hard copy of Tiberium Wars but destroyed it along with a load of other stuff by mistake. If you want to play the latest expansion, you also need the original game apparently. https://store.steampowered.com/app/24790/Command__Conquer_3_Tiberium_Wars/ https://store.steampowered.com/app/24810/Command__Conquer_3_Kanes_Wrath/
  9. @Havoc89 should replace the top picture with this youtube embed.
  10. Well, I completed this thing on Play Station 1 already, I'm sure I also felt accomplished at the time, but so far, I'm not seeing enough in this game to want to buy and play it all through all again, however I do want to see Petroglyph/EA visit the Renegade Universe and I'm looking forward to trying Earthbreakers, hopefully I can support them in other ways. I can remember also feeling that the Red Alert campaigns were equally as challenging, as in the timing of when you destroyed barrel chains and some of the Tanya commando missions. Renegade-X is essentially the remaster, I'd like EA/Petroglyph to combine and create a new C&C FPS/RTS Renegade game in the same Universe space.

So in the end does he become a black puddle on the floor?
  12. Hey, so has anyone purchased and replaying the newly released C&C remastered? I can't decide whether or not I want to buy this again or re-purchase C&C Kane's Wrath. I enjoyed playing the original + special ops on PS1, but I'm not sure whether I'm really going to get that replay value out of it or not, it's more or less exactly the same game as it used to be with a few online enhancements and high def artwork from what I can tell.
  13. I was really into learning commanding at one point, and then I simply got voted out of too many games mid-way, I'm not the best, but I'm not awful either. This was just too frustrating for me and it spills into physical life through stress and body tension. I'm talking about people who are frustrated the game hasn't progressed as much as they want, even if we're ahead, people wanting to back-seat command and lead a rush without their commander and no powers in support. Often people just vote so they can get the powers and I couldn't get the position back, they seem to think they can become a hero and buff 2 tanks it solves everything and once the CP is gone they don't care for anything anymore. I played one game of X-Mountain as GDI and unfortunately we got locked in base, it had to happen to one team, I spent most of the time being sniped in base and the problem with using any of the support powers is that you have to place your character in harms way of everything... you end up with your cp being maxed and you can't use anything because it requires line of sight. I've had several people !noob me just because CP is too high or something like a cruise missed when being placed under fire. I think giving harvester control to the team so someone diligent can operate it if needed is a good idea because you get harassed for not babysitting this part of the game. I also think Spy Plane or Smoke/EMP could be something that is shared so an operation can go ahead without the commander or if he's killed on route. I also don't like it when people don't respond when plans are made... players, including people in tanks have to be capable of grouping up, following instructions and allowing the support powers or the tank armour to do its job, else I get games like Islands which become another base-lock and it's no fun and lots of pressure.
  14. I sort of like the idea of being able to form a 'magical' moving shield like Witcher out of the repair gun being pointed at the ground seems useful, grants bonus deflection from projectiles and shells.
  15. I think I would be annoyed to see a map change carried through right before a decisive victory. Maybe the developers can think of a conditional rule, whereby either map vote is disabled, or map vote automatically calls for a surrender instead, which should have been the proper course of action in that sceanario. I would personally prefer that surrender auto-destructs the teams own base instead of making the other team all become heroic as sometimes its an antagonising wait to be finished off where as map vote change is instant and you can just get on with the next game. Some sort of Sudden Death mode to end long stalemate games could be making everyone Heroic if it has to be this way and in the game. Auto destruct would also be time saving, instant, and look impressive if it came with a base super weapon like the ped beacons do.

    [Mod] Korca

How is the Korca different tot he normal Orca?
  17. I think I agree that this is mostly relevant on large maps, Outposts is the one that happens time and again. If the tunnel network extended to the big hills where the sniper towers are or to the forested area where the rocks are then this might be less of an issue as it would enable infantry to get close and then they could fight if necessary. Most often what I find is infantry can't leave the base, the grassy route is okay so long as you don't run into competent snipers or Mendoza. If GDI loses their economy there's almost nothing they can do to escape being base locked on both fronts. There must be a couple of other maps where it gets this irritating. Crash Site might be one of them as the infantry tunnels in the ship don't exit to field, which they probably should do near the blue light. Even on maps where there is infantry routes like Up Hill, the silos can still be camped and I don't think just saying Patch is necessarily the answer. My main gripe is SBH can sneak using stealth and then just hang around and remain there a long time, even if they lose it, as we've both said, they can just re-capture it when they leave; where as a GDI player is likely to get spotted eventually. It could be map design that makes this an unfair advantage, but I did think some sort of magnetic field that disrupts stealth to a certain range would make sbh doing this less appealing. I might say don't let sbh carry a rep tool and give them an emp grenade instead so they can still infiltrate, altho might be too powerful if 3-4 sbh can disarm mines on every building at once. In an ideal world I think Silo's need to have the terminal inside and probably have half the building sunk underground as it seems unfair that tanks can shell and splash the terminal of players trying to capture it. It seems like this is mainly meant to be an infantry goal or objective.
  18. A single SBH with a rep tool can usually reach a tech building without being seen or detected, without being picked off by a sniper from distance and can spy on every other approaching GDI unit. Even by way of staking out a tech building it's not necessary for them to be directly on it, they can hang around nearby, and they don't necessarily even need to engage a GDI player in order to keep the building as I believe it's more effective to keep re-capturing unless they run into an engineer or hotwire trying the same job in which I would personally try to take them out. You must have surely played a game on Outposts where GDI reach a point where they are at a huge economic and strategic disadvantage and can't recover because of being base locked and they can't get either of these structures. I tried the camping strategy before the ddos stuff started with an SBH with a tool, was very each to get to the silo via the beach, capture it, a Gunner came over to capture it and then I just circled around for a while, eventually he was killed by a stealth lined head shot with the laser rifle and I re-captured it for the team. As Nod, we actually lost the game, but I think it's because we didn't maintain a harvester economy and allowed GDI to keep the field and eventually roll the base. I like the stealth feature of the SBH and I'm not calling for it to be removed, but I think some sort of interference around silo's or tech buildings to drop the cloak would be a welcome addition. I'm not the only person who has complained about this pattern of SBH staking out tech buildings on certain maps and I've also suggested that the spy plane should partially reveal hidden stealth units. The only map I can think of where Nod are constantly base locked and cannot use stealth effectively would be Field. Both, I think. Might be worth asking @Ryz to share his views as I know he's posted on this as well in the past.
  19. The original post is about SBH being able to remain invisible and camp tech buildings, it's a real problem on some maps. I don't know why you would open with a question that was immediately answered, nobody needs 4-5 SBH to camp the silo, they just need one with a tool who can then immediately take it back, unless GDI is to permanently camp each tech building to prevent it. You didn't really offer a solution to the problem and your comment is just aggravating and unhelpful. I feel you didn't even understand the problem before you commented, I only want the stealth suits to be revealed around tech buildings to a certain radius, not everywhere.
  20. Sorry, but you didn't read my original post and your response makes little sense.
  21. I think the rep tool gains strength as veteran stages upgrade, you can capture it with one charge, the problem is that GDI can't always get to a silo, and if they do capture it, they are then forced to camp the tech building, because if they don't then an sbh will usuallt come along and re-capture it once the player(s) have left. This happens on Outposts all the time for both the silo and comms centre. I've also tried this from both sides and it's super frustrating for GDI as they can't do the same. I thought some sort of radiation or energy field around the buildings could drop the cloak when getting within a certain distance.

    OSGang.png

Like if you think that both GDI and Nod should be able to use super-weapons on the battle field without having to place a beacon.
  23. Thanks for fixing this, I hope it doesn't take months for a follow up patch to correct game files, it's a feature that I think many people would not understand how much they used or missed it until it goes missing. Just an observation from todays pug, and perhaps I've got some variable wrong somewhere, but a Nod defence turret shot at the Obelisk that Madkyll was hiding in earlier on very low health as a spy behind a shut door and he then seemed to die internally from some sort of splash damage from the artillery shell striking the door, was this meant to happen? Is the idea now that an enclosed space is totally protected? How is a door more protective than a bulkhead wall? Can placing C4 on the back of the barracks still kill people repairing inside? For curiosity sake, what for example?
  24. Sometimes it can be extremely difficult to destroy a building being repaired from inside and has good defences such as lots of mines, these games need beacons to flush hot wires outside, the scenario I came across was no emp grenades due to missing bar/hon. I really dislike beacon spam tho, and I don't think there should be no such thing as a 'fake beacon' during a game. It's either planted on or around an enemy building or it should be disallowed, but it's a point many devs so far seem to not get. I believe there should be a max cap of beacons that can go down at any one time, like no more than 3-4. It's stupid to see 7-8 beacons all on the ped for example.
  25. I think default mines should automatically auto spawn into groups of three at building doors at game start rather than having to give the tedious chore to someone to place or constantly re-mine, or in the past as I suggested should be replaced with laser tripwires, make more sense than mines to me. I get a bit irritated when a building goes down between 3-5 minutes early into the game and I'd also enjoy more basic infantry combat to control the field before getting high tier classes or mid level tanks.
