  1. Usually I am working from home these weeks, so if I can setup IRC so it won't bother me unless there is a need to, I can help with this if you guys want me to. I am sure there are people who are higher on your list of nominees, but let me know. Request for donates, for example when we played the PUG, could also bring in more money. I just had to wait for half a year for my clients to pay me, but now money is coming in I am sure I will donate if needed!
  2. No server will be 100% DDOS proof, but I am sure the CT server will have protection soon...
  3. My eyes had an accident, those colors.... Hope you recover soon Tony!
  4. READY FOR TONIGHT? uhm caps...
  5. You live underground?
  6. Raging, raging? Oh raining, a natural phenomenon where water falls from the sky... Good luck with that!
  7. Ok, than the topic can be locked...

    Quick Question

Afaik free aim isn't there. (you are referring to the fact that you could press a key in a vehicle and could look every you wanted while the vehicle still kept moving the same direction?). Sniper servers are gone for now, but might be back later..
  9. I know, but still it's a bug.
  10. Not sure how to describe this: When I hit the HON (for example) sometimes and inf. unit walks by on top of the wall. The rockets than automatically get diverted to this unit and it will start tracking them. Happens with MRLS, Mammy and afaik Stank...
  11. David is right, I always use this to see if the enemy has SBH's left or stuff like that...
  12. Or a matter of opinion? Some mine as an alarm system, some to kill people. That's 2 different purposes for the same mine... Not to mention the places it can be placed and so on...
  13. Yeah what some people 'above' said. We couldn't even get the map vote straight... For almost every plan we tried: a) a lot off people didn't care b) it took to long When someone suggest stankrush on Under we tried and someone else and I were in the field. Vertiso went afk (in stank!) and while we had a small time window to leave our base the rest took up to five minutes to... still not come. When asking about the stanks someone replied: "Shut up Ryz, we are not doing your stupid rushes.." It wasn't even my rush, but apparently complaining about the fact a few people tried something was more important than actually work together... You just know if from the start. Machette also said that a few weeks ago (when we lost a few games by points) it was clear what everybody had to do. Some people (like him and I) even stayed on defense one two games. There was teamwork, people had roles and if you needed something, someone was to help almost directly. I believe Quincy, while he joined us, waited hours for repairs... When mines disappeared it would also take a while for some people to respond and one person even went to the ref of Islands saying: "Ref is fine" before it got killed the SAME second.. And so on. On Islands (again) for example I caught two hotwires and asked for help. Reply from someone on team was just : "Kill them" and something like don't bother us. While I chased one, another almost got in the strip and I also killed it myself without any help. If I was a bit later the strip would be down. It was almost like people were mad if you gave them viable info, cause it bothered them in their soloplaying... Next week I won't be there. But we also decided that if the PUG is like this, we might even leave halfways. Don't want to be a ragequiter, but I also don't want to waste my time on this. It's not about winning / losing, but about the way it (isn't) played...
  14. As mentioned in another topic a lot of games get decided by the fact that people are either afk repairing, or afk and not doing anything at all. Sometimes for round after round when it's just a quick game (snow for example or Trainingyard). When I am not defending and I find the time to votekick people I usually see a few people voting against if, even if I state the reason multiple times. Guess some people just like to win in an non sportive way... Would it be able to: - change the mechanism to kick an afk. So if a vote is done and the person itself doesn't reply, he / she is removed after x time. - or make visible who voted no (maybe only for moderators?), cause the vote is anonymous people tend to vote whatever is better for them. I am pretty sure it's always the same people doing this. Hope my suggestion gets picked-up along the 'join' thing to prevent afks from being assigned to a team.
  15. Happened today... 7 SBH got spotted, started shooting the bar with 7 together and the building had ZERO damage. Guess a few ppl on GDI went afk and used start fire. Suggestion: I don't want to stop repairs when you are playing, cause I want people to be able to repair as long as they want, but... What I would like is that repairs automatically stop when the building status hasn't changed for (for example) 30 seconds... This way people cant do afk repair and make a building almost unkillable from the outside...
  16. Sooo true Henk... I even removed mines with a techy (and stank) behind the PP... An SBH (on my own team) stole my stank instead of helping me. Building got damaged a till a few percent cause someone repaired and got killed and I also died... The SBH needed ONE shot to kill it, but was too busy saving my stolen tank from an engie or whatever attacking it... This is wat usually happens with SBHS. Or they nuke a building you just moved to and removed the mines from. I've seen soooo many attacks fail cause of loners.. But I have the feeling I said that sometimes
  17. So you are the guy headshoting me while I am crouched and removing the mines behind the PP for example...

    GDI vs Nod maps

Hmm, I find these lists difficult. The team you are in influences the outcome for 90 percent and not the side you are on. Few examples: Valley is described as a GDI map. While Nod has far better units. Get a nice group of people together and just outside C4 the BAR without being noticed. Get a few dozas and kill off the turret. Nothing difficult with teams Walls: Every side has adventages and disadventages, nothing unbalanced here... Islands: Camp the tunnel with one APC, protect the front with another and GDI has a hard time getting in. I almost ALWAYS see some person who 'really likes to keep the game interesting' camping the tunnels. GDI can only win on these ocassions with vehicles while Nod can basicly sneak in from every entrance... Tomb: Also balanced if you ask me.. The moment you move out with tanks as GDI, Nod can either be back at their base from tunnels before you are... Or strike when you are moving. Not to mention the countless times we lost the ref 'cause nobody was caring' And so on....
  19. I guess both the strip design and the one of the HON are made this way to compensate that GDI has no stealth. Longer strip makes it harder to find a beacon, stairs + windows in both buildings give you more places to get in and C4... The people I hear complain about the strip are: - either lacking the skill to jump inside the strip tower (wait the beacon is 'glitched' inside the tower they say) - mad they lose cause they didn't defend the strip from 5 vehicles (for example) approaching it Please also note: IF 10 people on GDI have a vehicle and manage to work together they should be rewarded, not punished. If Nod lacks vehicles cause they have 10 SBHS hanging around (nothing special on maps like Islands and Canyon) they have 10 SBH's not defending from the vehicles, neither be able to help with diffusing it. Meanwhile if they triple beacon the enemy base, or just storm inside a building with 5, they also have another adventage... To me it's pretty balanced. Every side has some better and sides and some worse... Not to mention the fact that sneaking with GDI is far more difficult in general. I can evade units if I see them, but it happened like 10.000 times that I mate it to a building, only to get shot in the back by an SBH handing around.
  20. Pizza oven... Well isn't a dam like this usually generating power? If there would be advanced base defences it could power them when the PP is down (but I can't find it there is a PP even and I guess there is no advanced base defence). Maybe, since the silo gives more money, this dam can make units cost less cause the 'power' to buy / build units / vehicles is now cheaper?
  21. And that's usually the problem, cause Nod has many solo SBH's. Removed a few mines yesterday and entered a building. Teammate SBH watched and didn't care we could kill it... Nod looks more solo orientated: sniping and sbhfest and people are soo used to it that they can't think different and thus come to a different approach to make them able to leave the base...
  22. Still I think it isn't that bad. Yesterday everybody complained about the fact is was / is a GDI map. Get 5 stanks, drive to the forest and kill off the WF and GDI loses it adventage. Never noticed one rush from Nod. I think this goes for every map with (even small) base defence: the map is a stalemate unless you actually teamwork.
  23. A good there is logic, only having a dedicated exit would be better so you just know which side people leave and you can make sure that side is facing the doors...
  24. Just to find out what you think about this. Sometimes, for example while doing a rush, people leave the vehicle and end up at the 'wrong side' of it. For example today we went for the enemy ref on Xmountain, got discovered and a few vehicles started chasing us. The APC navigated to the door and blocked of their people from getting in, but when we stepped out we ended up on the other side so the 'chasers' drove over a few and the rest died on the mines. I am curious if there is logic when leaving vehicles...
  25. A bit sad this is posted like this here. I suggested yesterday to watch the admin recordings to prove different. I killed the harvester off a few times as soon as it got delivered and I noticed more people doing this. As soon as someone started complaining about the harv being stuck we killed it and some morron even tried to repair it on Nod while we were shooting it..... We had this on PUGS with multiple maps. Next time, since people are on TS in the team, just send out a message to the enemy team to ask support. I know this can't be done on a public game, but I am sure you can make your team listen so a GDI person can approach the harv and kill it. But it was allready downed like once a minute by our team... Overall pretty balanced PUG. Too bad about the many games decided by points.
