  1. One of the most disastrous glitch is how an object can be placed on a player's head and thus blocking him from shooting anything. He will receive his own fire (including hitscan) as long as it remains. This is very disastrous to unaware ramjetters, which only has one shot to realize that he's been glitched. The second shot would kill him Even if it's not on his face, he will not have his purchases registered while he had something attached on his body That aside, it also works as body shield. Mining on players can literally make them a walking bomb
  2. I'd call a 450 priced gun that can take out tanks from long (invisibly limited) distance as OP Regarding Voltie, Jake's got a point. My Mendoza blocks GDI invasion on X-Mountain for about 10 minutes without dying. It pierces through tanks like butter. But once enemies starts rushing infantries that is agile enough, using Volt rifle to stop such rushes would be an achievement of itself. Small hitbox, ridiculous recoil, dead fast ammo depletion... it is not a good combination. The range is not at all visible, as I could hit far just quite fine. However, when you start using volt rifles on a bunch of infantries... you're just Renegading it wrong
  3. Now that I think of it... yes. X-Mountain was the only map where Strip 's end was facing the back of the base, forcing the slomo Harvy to turn around almost 180 degrees

    Well tbh, I don't think I've remembered the time I pulled back because of the reason I said. But yes... please don't include me in any rushes. I mean it. I'm not an attacker type

  6. Ah, fellow AMD Radeon HD user What I would recommend is lowering your resolution. I find a sweet spot in the lowest (albeit just 21 fps) . And my RAM is lower than yours. Gameplay before visual : that's my motto
  7. Ramjets are... kinda annoying tbh, but if timed right, and you know where he is, you can just bunny hop your way in zig zag pattern Rav and Sydney are kinda overshadowed IMO. If they were supposed to be anti-vehicle, a lot of other characters can do their job better. Long range : I go rocket launcher (you really have 90% chance to hit) or sniper depends on armor. Med-Short range : Go volt rifle (5 heavy armor kills in a single life as Mendoza defense). Aircraft : definitely ramjet. Or maybe I'm just too n00b to use it
  8. Well, you only need to place a single DominantDirectionalLight and few indoor lighting and some support lighting and let the technology of Lightmass do the work for you to make a daytime map. Of course, I'm not the dev, but I've been working on UDK for quite some time, so I could just guess a thing or two about map technical properties
  9. That might be your internet latency. Try playing offline and see if it occurs as well
  10. Theoritically shouldn't be too much work, for time of day changes (unless you are talking about dynamic changes, which is almost, but not impossible. But not too recommended since UE3 still can't handle dynamic lighting too well like CryEngine or Unity) For weather, addition of work besides changing lighting, postprocessing and whatnot
  11. My ping is 72, more or less and my experience is just fine. It should have nothing to do with your specs. It should be your internet connection

  13. I always love and hate the 'I don't give a fuck' attitude of Harvester that for some reason decides to run or flip your tanks over just to get to its destination. I ran into some problem where my team's harvy killed me by pushing me into field

  15. Do my eyes deceive me, or does that mean B4 is the last time we'll have to download a full release? I mean, if so, I can probably get at least a few more people playing this again. With uncooked builds, you only need to replace some contents, something that previously cannot be done with the cooked builds. So.... I assume you would tell us to download the proper UDK version from www.unrealengine.com/udk, then get the source codes of the game from you?

    Nod is already too powerful without buffing the flame tank... GDI's the one supposed to be focused on strength, not Nod
  19. Duplicate existing maps and remake it as needed, then put this as a new game mode! Agree with the solution guys?
  20. Now we know that stare does kill haha A little bit protip : If you mine or C4 on your friend's face (ESPECIALLY IF HE'S 1000 CHARA), you're condemning your teammate to death. All his shots will reflect to himself until the C4/Mine is off his face. Also, even a single C4/Mine placed on someone's body will prevent his PT requests from getting registered

    The only time I pull back is if the rush feels like it was gonna fail, or if I'm very low on money But I never like participating in a rush. Not because I think it's a stupid thing or whatever, but because I feel like I might just become the reason why rushes fail. So instead if I'm not deffing, I provided some distraction support to draw the opposing vehicles' attention to me. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing a bunch of tanks and infantries flipping at your Stank or some light transport vehicles bypassing into the enemy base and thinks that you're a real threat, then starts to rain fire on you until you die, even though you're already away from the base (it actually happens. My buggy managed to get inside the GDI base and then a squad of infantries and humvees chased me for no good reason)

  23. 32 AC-130s or 96 A-10s? Who would have money to invest such large number for a single small battlefield?
