Well, let's see the future. At least they will still have strength in numbers enough to give even the most professional much trouble holding the base out while striking back But if this does make it into its' own game mode, either beacon must be disabled, ineffective against structures, or give bot ability to disarm them during the match
-
fixing... that happens in single player, but somehow the bot didn't fix anything on our game in field except vehicles Anyway, these matches had me understand some bot logics What the bots inherit from UT bots are : 1. Strafings and dodgings. They have good maneuver as if they were on a deathmatch. Better try rocketing them instead of rifling 2. Tendency to leave 10 percent or less health vehicle. UT had a rule of killing passengers upon vehicle explosion What was strange about bots are 1. Upon facing MCT, they suicide. They blow structures with tank shells, no other means 2. Flame Tank driver doesn't burn buildings for some reason. They do burn enemies

Yea, I did the vote option. I did set them to skill 7. By default it should 4... or 5 (dunno where Adept's at) Their attack pattern is funny. Early game : They Soldier rush. Then Humvee/Buggy plus APC start coming in. Then Tanks. By late game, Ramjets and PIC/Railgun will fill your base for some reason

Yea, only it was a guy who already made it inside. I'll take the advice tho I think Volcano never had a long-lasting games
-
Really? Today I tried it with a guy in EKT server in Walls. 38 GDI personnel, 14 with tanks, pwned 2 of us in 10 minutes Then there's that Whiteout. It went into stalemate because bots inside were suiciding instead of C4-ing the MCT (AI bug) and because my teammate and I repaired like crazy, while crossing over the assault from building to building. We were stuck in the base. I failed 10 times trying to get out to capture the Silo. Dark Souls moment happens But it was really a gg, better than playing quiet 1 on 1. Some people might not like it due to the fact that they can't end the everlasting siege, but still, best target shooting range ever
-
Yeah, thx. I was stupid to leave it empty Wait tho, doesn't self damage still apply?
-
Gonna shame myself for having my 'defending APC' stolen twice in the row because of the fear that no one's around to repair buildings Panic wrecks the whole team
-
Ah, good to know I gotta check minimaps more... I thought that happens when an enemy was on sight of friendlies btw, quick question : How exactly do you Q multiple targets? At occasion I had teammates saying 'Spotted 2 Infantry near Barracks' and even rarer 'Spotted 2 Infantry near Barracks, 1 of them are SBH!!!!' (BTW, yes 'are')
-
Besides, would you rather have effects that disappears into thin air or does no damage instead? That doesn't make sense at all

Steam is free. You don't have to worry about that

I think the arrow or mark should do well for Q. You know, Q is currently rather unreliable. For these reasons 1. Sometimes you spot something in the middle of the map, outside the base, and it says 'spotted 1 infantry/vehicle near a building', giving the impression that the enemy has already infiltrated the base when they haven't 2. At the very least, it should give out the type of the enemy. (eg. : 'Spotted 1 APC near Power Plant' or 'Spotted 1 Technician near Airstrip') at least that saves us from saying an 'APC inc', or 'Sakura/Havoc in tunnel', which as quick as it might, will still leave us quite vulnerable for a second At least once you spot something and Q it, you should also give out its' current location, at least for a second or 2, whether in mini map or with diamond rectangle like seen by the guy who Q'ed it. Right now it only indicates the existence, but not really helping with the location of things

A bit off-topic You're referring to UT3 'pancake' death. Interestingly it had its' own death image. Try to use aircraft and crush them by landing on them (don't run them over by sweeping on them, but actually land on them), and see if it rewards you with same amount of points If it does, then they used an existing system in UDK

why i keep looking like its firing the the left
Handepsilon replied to coolme's topic in Feedback & Bug Reports
The pic is so kawaii and insulting at the same time Anyway, I do not think I have such problem. It always shoots to the crosshair's direction Unless he's complaining about how changing weapon orientation changes where the projectiles come from (this is actually possible at some degree in UT99) The complain doesn't make sense -
First of all, Mod can move this elsewhere if it's in the wrong place So, today I played a Marathon game with eXile and ImortalFu, and frankly a lot of people left before so it was just us 3. I jokingly asked eXile to add 34 bot to enemy team to fight against after our chaotic bot-ic battle in Mesa. Unexpectedly he complied, so we had a 3 vs 37 fight in Field. It went on for 85 minutes (mainly because bot blindly rushes through AGT) So well originally we wanted to snipe after everything except Ref was gone. We had a good time until another guy qho joined mid-game destroyed Ref But it's an interesting game. Worth trying out

BTW I assume this is one of the Tiberium that you're referring to? I got there by parking my Chinook on the unreachable mountain (except by aircraft). You know, unless this is just a regular emerald randomly poking out, I should be a mutant by then PRAISE KANE! (lol)

Building occupants damage inside buildings
Handepsilon replied to Handepsilon's topic in Feedback & Bug Reports
Not really... the door seemed to be closed but probably I'm pretty close to it. I'm about 2 feet away MCT What about the flame though? You know how far the barracks' MCT is from the door... -
Not sure if intended, but apparently you can damage people inside the building with Flame Tank usually. This happened usually when Nod is winning, when I'm inside any buildings repairing the MCT. I believe this is good to counter stalemates where Hotties or Techies are stuck repairing buildings to actually do something Here's where things get funny. Today an artillery bombarded the WF in Field. For some random reason it managed to kill me inside the WF around the MCT. Usually this doesn't happen although it's quite logical for occupants to get damaged, but by game logic this seemed like a glitch since this is a one time thing. Is this intentional?

Something I learned from Marathon : Apparently if you're good enough in defending, or the enemy is bad enough in attacking, you can actually hold the worst siege I think this can make a game mode, where teams take turns on sieging the enemy base. Every 10 minutes or so, a team had an invincible base with invincible aura around them, but cannot attack enemies that are not around the aura as well. They have to siege the other team's base while the other team has to hold out until the siege is over. 1 minute ceasefire before the siege happens, so teams can prepare themselves. As safety measure for campers, every time siege ends, a super airstrike is automatically called and wipes the defending base from enemies once the siege is over, and while in ceasefire or Nod's turn to defend, their SBHs and Stanks around the GDI base will become visible automatically until they leave. Teams also have to keep sieging, lest they will lose their turn to siege prematurely if the enemy buildings or units aren't taking any major damage from them after few minutes I think this is easy to execute and can teach players how to really defend and rush. It's just another take from vanilla, except it's either full attack, or full defense

Sooo, instead of you destroying the Harvester, the Harvester can actually destroy you... Only in RenX : A Harvester is more dangerous than the most dangerous war machines

Removing Barracks/WF/Refinery/AGT for some reason

If you have a good team yes. Frankly at times, no one even bothered to respond to my suggestions and just go their own way. Really, I'd appreciate even a 'no'. But nooo, they just ignore me, and other people in that matter. Yesterday was full of teamwork problems, that led to successful rushes EVERY GAME (except the one with base defenses). 2 guys got Skype to back them up, so they can organize easier. I tried to warn my teammates and told them to maintain full defense (or stay in MCT, especially since it's still so early). What did I get? Most people ran off to the enemy base without any result, and we lost Ref/PP for that. The game ends in 5 minutes at the longest. Very very satisfying This also happened today when I was in Field, for different matter though. A Havoc was sniping on the tunnel entrance that I'm guarding. I told him to go get the arties instead of the guys on tunnels, especially since there's Sakura and probably Mendoza there. He didn't even respond and just go sniping the tunnels while I had an APC posting at the entrance, waiting safely for anyone foolish enough to face me and while the arties are happily bombing our WF ( thankfully it was marathon, point whoring is meaningless) and our tanks are getting mauled. I also requested one hottie to back me up, and I didn't get any. Again without any useful responses 0 teamwork is the big problem here Seriously, I know it's for fun, and I do not mind getting mauled in the end. But if we only spend few minutes in one game like this, where's the fun in that? That ain't GG

Question : are each buildings comprised of a single actor? If so, can we actually wipe a single building using killall command?
-
LOL, Harvesters in RenX ate too much Tiberium I wonder if we can do that to enemy vehicle too. We can drive over them, but can we flip them over?

Try 'God' then stand in front of AGT or Obi as a Soldier
