  1. Haaaa nice to know you still remember me. I wanna try these custom maps one of these days with some more people. Hopefully it's not as laggy as when it was first released
  2. You can create MIC from the procedural sky sphere material used on default template. Just adjust those sliders and colors and you *might* get the material you want
  3. You don't say? If you're serious about it though, that's how all FPS games work. Aiming for the head is the most effective way to kill something, be it man, zombie, or whatever. I'm pretty comfy with the damage personally. It's those one-hit kills that makes me cringe instead of a lengthy firefight. Besides, it doesn't last that long if you aim correctly. Sadly if you're not good at aiming with a gun, those splashy explosives are not that great at killing people.

  5. TBH this is already one of the ideas that has crossed our mind. Some people thinks ramjet is Renegade-iconic tho. I for one, support this.
  6. There's an option in mesh actors to turn off Path Colliding in the Actor Properties. This is how Coastal Nod gates are done. The InterpActor simply doesn't affect the pathing so the Pathnodes outside and inside the wall can connect to each others I suggest you look into it
  7. One thing I wanna know is...... why do you set it to Windowed there? Don't you know it decreases performance because.... divided concentration between game and desktop? But yea, performance seems to be getting much worse every iteration for me

  9. The short answer will be, we're wiped out. The long answer is that the clan and community haven't been too active even before the DDoS. We've got empty server all day long until DDoS came. Skeeze started to become inactive and stated that he can't/won't get the much needed protection so instead we resorted on back and forth migration between servers, which didn't work so well. It started all the flame wars about TmX's server quality and security which eventually led to B0ng's proposal for official server. EKT offered to sustain us by lending a full-fledged server with all the DDoS protection they could muster but eventually failed. Clan members lost faith and resigned. The only thing left is to finally give The Matrix Community its' proper funeral, unless someone's got a plan. I don't have any myself, sorry

  12. It's Lighting, not Lightning. Lighting is the light while Lightning is the one that goes with thunderbolt and such mostly in a bad storm Anyway, nice. Maybe I'll ask you when I ever touch my maps again

  15. You mean the method of "Select Static Mesh Mode -> Adjust scale and random rotation -> Adjust collision -> Select Mesh -> Ctrl (+shift) + S + Mouse click"? That's what I usually do

  17. No.... no, please no. Unless you can introduce us the download that can be resumed when interrupted at anytime, making the launcher that downloads out the entire game is a bad idea. Not everyone has the download speed that even reach 1 MBps and can finish at that exact day
  18. Flash might be doable, with Open GFx Movie kismet. But you gotta need to learn about Scaleform implementation
  19. You can also use a MIC (Material Instant Constant) Is also possible MIC is much cheaper and easier to use. You just need to set up the right Parameter nodes, so I'd recommend MIC Saturation is also a very easy thing to do UE3 Fun fact. What is called 'Material' in UDK is actually a shader, and what is called 'Material Instance Constant' is actually material
  20. The fact that they can maneuver around while sniping and still has great accuracy is quite disturbing though. It's also unrealistic for a sniper to jump around in tight spot at tunnel, possibly capable of pwning close range specialist. Yosh is also going to fix that crosshair size discrepancy betweem high res and low res in favor for the high res one.... I believe
  21. The current reason - DDoS galore - The other admins didn't seem to have motivation. A cycle for who hosts PUG is good and all but hasn't been officially agreed yet B0ng has an EU server now though, so not sure

  23. Russian, it's also in CoD Modern Warfare 2 afaik. A search for Russian BTR brings this. BTR-90. Afaik BTR means APC in English Or maybe it's BTR-80 or even BTR-60
