  1. Steam doesn't remove stuff on it's own? Sounds like a Steam support issue if that's the case. We have nothing to do with Steam except using SteamIDs.

Show picture or video We do not plan to extend into the Red Alert universe We are currently working on some maps, but at this point I would say most new maps are going to be community made Drag and drop into your files and starting it seems pretty simple for me, but we aren't planning on making an UI or download system for it No lol
  5. Since no one else seems to actually be answering the questions; Totem Arts is not an actual company, or any legal entity. It is just a group of people who are passionate about C&C, RenX and game development. Like-minded people who are willing to volunteer their time for the good of all. It requires good leadership, passionate creators (art, maps, code) and a lot of love for the game. I assume this is supposed to be something along the lines of "how have you continued development this far". While I haven't been around for that long, all I can say is that the only real drive here is passion. There's not much else to get out of RenX besides the feeling of accomplishment and having people express their gratitude. The team has had nearly 100? devs, and has been in WIP for a long time. Assuming this is something like "why do you think RenX is such a great game". I personally like RenX for a few reasons. First and foremost, it's Command & Conquer, obviously. I like the combat, specifically infantry, even though vehicles are a lot of fun too. Weapon handling, character movement and TTK are the main things I like about infantry combat. I also love the unique environments some maps have, such as Mesa, XMountain and Complex. Working together as a team to destroy the infidels or simply popping heads with a sniper bring joy to me. There's many different roles you can play in RenX, and you can swap at will. It's fluid and dynamic. It has good progression (veterancy/building armor), and vehicle explosions, nukes and ions are very satisfying.

  10. The game rewards aggressive play styles, otherwise you end up just having 2 teams turtling til they get higher VP, at least thats the idea of it. That's my understanding of it, anyway. I can't really speak, as I didn't create the system or have a hand in creating it.

You can not enable cheats in multiplayer without mutators. You can swap people, as long as you're logged in as admin, by typing /team name (does not transfer credits) or /team2 name (players keep their credits) you move people around.
  15. Remove the _flying part. Find map names in UDKGame\Config\CNC-MapName.ini or Renegade X\UDKGame\CookedPC\Maps\RenX\ or look in the Skirmish tab of the front end
  16. Depends per map. Some maps are bigger and have more paths for stanks to traverse, hide on and ambush from. Other maps have small, tight corridors that have lots of chokepoints that allow flame tanks to hold. IMO, flame tanks are good for holding positions and locking down an area. Stanks are good for surprise and hit-and-run tactics.

  22. Made additional changes to some files for the launcher, you should be able to update within 15-30 mins.
  23. Would need a counterpart item for Nod. This almost exclusively benefits GDI.
  24. The game is open source. The SDK includes everything in the game. You could download that, make your own changes, download JupiterBot (server list backend), download the source code of the launcher and change the server list domain to your own. You could just make an entire RenX clone on your own if you really wanted to, all the tools are there.
