  1. And it feeds them credits as they do so.
  2. If you delete the videos, it should actually still run AND skip them appropiately.
  3. Yes, I didn't catch that, but I noticed they were there before, and that IS IMPORTANT. I also hope they are added to islands, steel beams on the walls to take cover behind.
  4. I believe those savvy with command console, can just use ~ then "quit".
  5. The most gameplay-important change, is the metal beams in the tunnels. In RenX the tunnels offer no cover up and down them. Might be cool just to add metal beam props or something to the tunnels next update.
  6. Maybe God had trouble playing with lighting, and that is why there is only one working light. Once he got it working, he is like "YES FINALLY now don't mess with it because I'll likely never get it working right again..." /blasphemy
  7. To be fair, a mutator designed specifically for bot horde, should probably disable beacon purchases. Airstrikes are okay And probably disable harvester respawn but have 1.5 credit generation.
  8. This should be a mutator. It was really fun. Should automatically lock all joining to 1 team, and then add 12 bots per joining person, up to the max at 4 players, and allow 8 players max. Takes less players to play, less unaccounted for newbie rage, more casual. Really, it is a good time as well as a good introduction to RenX. Oh, should also limit it to maps like Walls and Whiteout and Volcano.
  9. Oh you know, it does. Just keep remotes on it then. Tbh, they are more useful in more situations than you think. In case of a panic incoming APC, you can jettison yours to destroy their instantly, problem solved. Stolen, jettison, kill culprit. I just thought, timed c4 are less useful so might as well rid them, but AFAIK they do destroy your own vehicle
  10. Start putting timed c4 on your vehicle when you leave it. Repair, then refill at terminal, then return to your vehicle before it explodes so it does "friendly fire damage ignoring". Problem solved.
  11. I NEVER knew this until the other day. However, I was shocked to find it did when I got curious and tried it. It works for both DEFEND and DISARM as well, unique text for each. EVERYONE should do it, NOBODY does.
  12. I will shame myself, I will occasionally put 3 in a random corner in tunnels sometimes, just because the random kills are loltastic. I only do it for fun in stalemate games, so sue me.
  13. No. I am entirely sure that I played a game and press Q on a beacon, and it called out "BEACON DISCOVERED AT WAR FACTORY" or something. So it already currently is like that. Since it is a Q command, it cannot be faked, if it is called out then it is legit shit. Basically, trust that Q spot, over one called on a building spammed repeatedly. Ones spammed repeatedly can often be wrong.
  14. Only negatives, are Steam offers no refunds which just means use common sense, and that Valve has authority to delete accounts even with huge values of linked games for any reason (though usually only for breaking rules ofc). I have a steam library, but it always feels risky having all games linked to one source so I try to use variety when possible. In this case, free to play so there is no risk derp. Make a scrub throwaway steam account for the leaderboards if wish.
  15. Make this a crate effect in vanilla.
  16. I wouldn't mind, if points were different than credits and were balanced differently. Idk how I feel about so many nuke disarm granting so many points. In fact, final building destruction should grant a beacon disarm worth of points. Then again, those are snowball mechanics, when losing a building is snowball enough.
  17. That is just the game. Some weapons you have to really over-move the gun and sweep quickly across enemies with it. And if you are ads and aiming for the head, you need to fire streams and not full auto because of the recoil compared to the movements of units. The autorifle is actually stronger than original Ren though. By leaps. They do really acceptable damage against mrls/arty, against infantry with and without headshots (old ren was even harder to headshot because of the weapon and the hitboxes), and in general the costing units were leaps and bounds stronger. Then again, all the free weapons are much stronger. The flamethrower, the grenadier, the shotties, and especially the marksman which are added and not from original but are acceptable to use to eventually get rid of snipers (not on the first try mind you, but nothing got rid of snipers except snipers in Ren). Engineers are about the same, but they are a utility class you cannot live without which makes them already-powerful, as well as the fact the carbine also buffs them as well as techs.
  18. Defense is actually "fun". It isn't generic and you can really make an impact on the game outcome. You just need yourself mining, and patrolling in a jeep, and watching mine limit, and knowing to check regular places for beacon-placement, and occasionally not following routine and checking the Tib Ref 2 times the same pass in case they are waiting for you to pass-by. Also, makes GDI fun to play, as they are more orientated on needing a dedicated defence.
  19. Thus my suggestion for guard tower location. It would cover back door of WF, and divide each building from each other. The tower will not kill, but it will mark enemies for patrolling humvee. Also, WF will likely need mines (Maybe occasionally mix things up and mine the path entrance itself)
  20. The tower damage is bad. Considering all the turrets die easily, them respawning would make them acceptable. Considering the GDI turret is so weak, it needs at least the angle to mark enemies appropriately. Which is why on my picture in my last post, the towers can reach the front and infantry entrance (not like they can kill infantry), and cutting a 4 way dividing each building (as well as covering the gdi factory entrances because srsly). And the rof buff as well as the 5 minute respawn would benefit nod more than gdi but I believe in ways that nod needs.
  21. Might be more like "A Path Beyond's map: South by Southwest", or like "Glacier Flying", If you had: -both teams entrance, 1 wall gun emplacement, 1 missile wall gun emplacement, balanced to be rapidfire low damage pretty much amounting to the same dps as a tank could do in the same time of firing. Right now when used they are slightly OP especially for a free gun. -both teams entrance, 1 central automated defence (turret/tower), and possibly 1 inside the base center or 2 on each of the back-edges. -Make "non-structure tier-1 automated defences" respawn with a long time limit, sort of like the current gun emplacements. Of course, as automated, let them keep their current damage, they aren't rly OP atm. Really the gdi gun towers are specifically UP, sbh can man-up to the damage really well. It would help quite a bit to at least make them respawnable with a 2-5 minute respawn. Besides that, a humvee should be patrolling and looking for the tower marking targets like on Lakeside. If the automated towers/turrets were placed at orange locations, and missle/gun emplacements were placed at blue locations, defence would be acceptable. Also, would it be possible for the gun emplacement to be on the infantry side and have the rotation to reach the infantry entrance as well as the front?
  22. A lot. A lot of places do that. I was just suggesting, not all companies are as bad as EA. Blizzard, who knows why the fuck they didn't greenlight Ghost. However, they could totally use this as a starting point to annex Totem Arts to develop it, is what I was suggesting. And besides that, there are indie RTS games that might also partner. There are pros to partnering. Cons include a publisher's influence over design, and the design possibly varying significantly from Renegade as infantry might be different, it may be APB or Reborn amounts of different. Pros include financial stability, a huge playerbase to synergize off of because rts players will play a strategy fps, and continued official support.
  23. I think they could. The real shame, is the "theme of the game" is part of it's character. However, they could eventually do it. Heck, I even suggested that it would be crazy unrealistic but cool if they published under another RTS producer possibly interested in hiring them to work on it and porting it's theme into let's say Starcraft or TA/SC/PA.
  24. Probably not for awhile, i would guess. I consider beta 3 to be a major success as far as stability goes so the devs may take their time with the next content package. Beta 1 was good, beta 2 was buggy and lasted forever, beta 3 is good, beta 4 will be buggy and last forever. Do you still want beta 4 now? JKJK.
  25. You know, I am not much to complain, but my system does this. I didn't complain because it feels legacy. By time I get this sweet computer to play legacy renegade at full graphics without delay, I upgrade to X and have to wait 45 seconds to enter game and notice harvesters are already returning :3 I think, yep, definitely renegade. Would be nice to start with everyone else though...
