  1. ahhh i was under the impression it did my bad
  2. there is a wait time for harvester unload ... but even getting that right is a pain as it will accumulate over time and most of the differences are only from spawn a true fix would have to be via code harvester dumps at the same time no matter what harv gets home first ... but mehhh is it a real problem ?

  4. if your using the sand mat it will be hard to remove the wind sand waves via mic coz there a fundamental part of the main Fresnel but there should be sand 2 that dosnt have the windy sand

  6. havent got a memory problem ? ... run Windows Memory Diagnostic or some other memory checking tool antivirus not seeing a package as threat and locking it down ? install to a new directory (c:/renx) dont make the directory a long one he isnt downloading udk and adding the sdk files over is he ?
  7. indeed as its already refranced there mats dont get changed / renamed / moved all that often if at all (ive never done it)
  8. you know alls you need to do is copy the mic and change it ... the mat wont get changed (will save space in the package)
  9. just told him on steam ... he is probably using the material and not the material Instant Constant (MIC) that under uses if you copy the mic you will need t re-reference it to the mat you copied
  10. um any dynamic light is heavy hitting even if it doesn't move / change / toggle some things that have been said a re right but some are wrong it don't matter if the light moves, changes brightness or color if it does any of these things the light maps for that light get ignored and are rendered on the fly ........ you could use a light function to get a similar look going but you would have to pair it with a post processing volume people like to turn pp and even dynamic lights off so having a dynamic map like that might not work as intended as it wouldn't work for half the players (the cheating gitts) its your call you can always gain FPS by optimizing the assets in your map anyway not just the light (new tut from me on all that stuff soon)

  12. try resetting the light mass setting in the map
  13. terrain is supported its just a legacy system that lacks features of landscape like material blending and erosion ect ... is there a log from the crash ( file and something in the paste bin "crash >>> hit paste in notpad" ) i had crashing on light builds when the build took more memory then what i had or using the 32bit udk ( try using 64bit udk to build lights if you have over 4 gb in your system )
  14. have any autosaves ?.. maybe try one of those ... your main save might be corrupted
  15. Ctrl + A = select all .... NOPE Ctrl + A = add brush / csg / bsp ... YUP i know its a pain in the arse when you know Ctrl + A is "select all" in every other app in the history of windows

  21. horologe is basically white out / hourglass with out the side paths ... its 2 bases 1 tunnel and a hill its a fun 5 min play map 5v5 but with 40 players 20 vs 20 it wont be good at all its an apc rape map ... if it was inf only then would be good
  22. USE BLOCKED FOR HARVESTER PATH NODES ..... THATS WHAT THEIR THERE FOR .... DONT BE LAZY All you have to do is replace the nods around the paths you wish it to take its not hard

  24. just use the blocked for harvester nodes were you don't want the harv to go !
