Real life MLRS:

no%20need%20to%20quote%20the%20img%20again

MLRS = Tiberian Sun, MRLS = Tiberian dawn :P.

But how's this vehicle named? I want to know more about this thing :D

Real life name = MLRS, Multiple Launch Rocket System. Google MLRS and you find it.

And here's that M1A1 Abrams I mentioned, the Medium Tank:

Too bad there isn't a real life flame tank or stealth tank

The ssm launcher is M270 MLRS chassis, with two honest John missiles on the back instead of the mission missile pod. This doesn't exist in real life.

Though mobile honest John missile launchers exist

As for the Mammoth, as cool as it would be. No counterpart exists in real life. There were some german designs of double barrelled tanks like the

Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte

Also the Panzer maus viii was another double barrelled tank prototype from ww2

Airdrop does exactly that?

And nod soldier, orca's don't exist. If they would i'd want to be a pilot :P

Player controlled Chinhook's currently cannot lift up Humvees, this needs to be a thing. :P

Partly kidding and partly serious. It'd be amazingly fun to drop loaded Humvees/buggies on people but it would be a pain in the ass to prevent dropping them in potential game-breaking spots (top of buildings, unreachable cliffs)

One can dream.

The Nod SSM Launcher in C&C Renegade resembles a SCUD Launcher (MAZ TEL)

There are EVA quotes in the SDK for the SSM Launcher.

The original Nod Surface-To-Surface Missile Launcher looks like it was based off of the MIM-72C, but retrofitted to fire the MGR-1 Honest John. The MIM-72C (Or any other MIM-72 or M48 Variants) was strictly an anti-air missile platform that utilized the AIM-9 Sidewinder and various other anti-air missiles. It was phased out of the US military arsenal in the 90's, but some countries like Israel and a few others still use it. The Honest John used to be called the XM31, but was changed to the M31 after it pushed through the testing phase.

I'm pretty certain the Nod APC is a US Army Stryker IAV.

This actually raises a interesting point. In Real Life the Stryker came into service in 2002, and did not enter full production until 2007, whereas the First Tiberium War takes place in the 1990s.

Though one could present several arguments as to why the Stryker exists.

  1. The War lasted for three years, if the war started in 1999 then in theory the war would've gone on long enough for the Stryker to come into service and by acquired by Nod somehow.
  2. Nod has always placed a high value on high tech units, you could try and justify that Nod somehow acquired the Stryker plan and rushed production ahead of schedule. (This would explain why only Nod is using this more advance APC whereas GDI is still using the much older M113 APC, which was developed in the 60s (or early 50s considering Red Alert 1)
  3. The fact that the Tiberium universe is a bit out of whack in terms of technological advancements, you can argue the US Army developed the Stryker a lot earlier in their time line than in ours.

Very good point Steelpoint, however the RenX team interpreted the old Ren models to realistic standards. In the old game the APC's origin is more vague.

I think it bears a resemblance with Old Crow APC models. The point is, many of the original Ren. vehicles look like toys from wargames, rather than realistic equipments.
