  1. @isupreme. check it lol @djlaptop, aren't you the voice guy =D
  2. gigabyte aorus ultra gaming x470 audio through motherboard's optical output to sound bar amd ryzen 5 2600x 16GB ddr4 nvidia 1080 TI graphics samsung m.2 storage I would say I randomly get the bug averaging about 1/10 games.
  3. I just spent the last hour or so reading through all the posts here... oh my haha. My two cents as nothing more than a "player" of the game: I'm glad to see a healthy, if not nearly derailed discussion here. The common thread I see between posts is, everyone involved in this discussion wants the game to grow and prosper. Don't forget that. I'm sure some are more frustrated than others. Trying to do so much with so little. Bottom line, I think @TomUjain has learned some valuable takeaways from this. Thank you for all the hard work and coordination with FPI. @limsup you are exactly right, this issue is only magnified because the community is small, people with vastly different views are becoming "too familiar" with each other and its causing conflicts that wouldn't exist otherwise. @Madkill40 You got it. The issue is mostly team morale. But unfortunately, this is something I think most people lack as a general principle, not just in this game. Teams who think they will win, usually do. One's who think they will lose usually do. As a commander, I try my best to overcome that, but even so, convincing a random group of players through quickly moving chat text is difficult lol. @poi even though we don't talk much, I always do enjoy the challenge, even if I waste $1000s of credits trying to run away from you lol @Agent I agree 100%, no one should have to be forced to do anything, it takes all enjoyment from it. I think that was also the main point @kira was making. @Sarah. thank you for all your hard work on this game, it definitely shows! you're clearly very passionate about the game and its future. @Kaunas you got that right too, no amount of code will fix a very human problem. @Ryz I respect your level-headedness. I know how it's frustrating to try and "motivate" players, we just have to give it our all and hope for the best =D to re-itterate and and I've re-thought my comment from before. (someone else also mentioned this, I forgot who), that really. Whoever has been playing this game for a long time... understands the game mechanics fully, high K/D, understands the 'lingo', knows map quirks and strategy... we shouldn't be asked to do less to make up for others, that's a good point. It's unfair and frankly unrealistic as a goal. But what should be put forth is a conscious effort to be highly aware of the surroundings. "do the vast majority of the players I'm going against understand the game like I do?" "sure, I'm having fun, but is everyone else?" Anywho. Just some food for thought. Kudos you all are cool in the boat-book =D
  4. that was a great time! Turning Paradise into a race track was a great idea! =D
  5. It happens occasionally. It sounds like in that case, he might have suicided on his own c4, but if your cross fire touched him or an explosion from your own c4 touched him, sometimes it records as the teammate getting the kill instead of the message "player has died". Which i think is hilarious honestly.
  6. That's really interesting! Hmmm... I mean the map itself has to be the most symmetrical of all, does this indicate a problem in balance then? Just a thought.

    Walls Only

Walls is the greatest Renegade map ever made and I'd like to shake the hand of the person who invented it originally. That being said, I propose the idea of having a Walls only day, perhaps once a month on the most popular servers (FPI & CT). Maybe like the last Monday of every month. Walls, Walls, Walls all around!! =D
  8. @TomUjain & Team thanks for all you guys are doing. I think FPI is a great server. Bottom line is, like you mentioned, the root cause is simply because there are so few players. because the player base is small, all problems are amplified. I understand wanting to do our best to appease everyone, but really I think it is an effort in frustration. The part that bums me out is, seeing new players come to the game, but literally only staying around a few matches and never returning simply because they got headshott'd 20 times without even understanding how the game works. Overall I see everyone playing nicely with each other, but most of the issue comes down to keeping new players around and keeping them engaged in the gameplay. My solution would be to do our best to cater to new players and do our best to ignore the "noise" from the veteran players. I'm sorry but if we want the game to grow at all, we are going to have to suffer some growing pains.
  9. I'm all for this! basically, when a building dies, just remove the player name tied to those mines, so anyone can disarm them. (just like when a player uses Prox. mines but leaves the server).
  10. Credits to @Madkill40 and @Lynxy respectively.
  11. I think basically they are "testing the waters". when really all the issue was is that Command & Conquer 4 was a horrific failure. But whatever, I'll take a pretty and shiny new version of some old classics any day.
  12. yes unfortunately this was built by @[CT]Ukill and he seems to be MIA...
  13. be sure to let us know how your experience goes !! =D
  14. It's much like what @limsup stated. The Unreal Engine is single core use only and the FX chips have poor single core performance. For example, I upgraded my GPU from a GTX 770 eventually to a GTX 1080TI and saw next to no improvement. It wasn't until I upgraded my CPU that I saw a change. I didn't do scientific accurate measurements, but the performance difference between an FX-9370 vs Ryzen 5 2600x for Ren X was like 30 FPS. E.I. very significant Current Set Up: Gigabyte X470 AORUS ULTRA GAMING (Motherboard), Ryzen 5 2600x (CPU), 16GB DDR4 (RAM), M.2 SSD, Nvidia GTX 1080TI (GPU), 750W PSU The game runs very smoothly at 2160p (4k) with all settings ticked on, even at 32x32 players, I hardly ever notice a drop in performance.
  15. WHATS CRAZY IS THE PRICE. D'= That stealth tank looks really cool though.
  16. Nearly all matches, Harvester control is vital to the match. and as a commander, we have the ability to stop and even control where to put the harvester. which is awesome!! I love it. However, if a parked harvester is destroyed, the new one does not follow the "stop" command. In the heat of battle, it can be difficult and somewhat annoying to micromanage the harvester while also dealing with other things. It would be great if all harvesters followed the "stop" command until released by the commander (*once a harvester waypoint/standby area has been selected*), regardless if they are destroyed or not. I suppose one could argue the current set up can be a good strategy for the other team, less automation = more tactics. But I feel the AI should just be improved instead =p
  17. Interesting. Yes I used to have the freezing issue on my old CPU, an AMD FX-9370. Seems like its a rather complicated bug =\
  18. Next April fools, give everything a machine gun.
  19. I think alot of it simply comes down to no one is available to make such things.
  20. I had a wierd dream that @Sarah. was actually lying and Con Yard's became a thing. To compensate for the size, they were built in to be apart of another building, for example attached directly to the War Factory or Refinery. Maybe a little too much Renegade X for me HAHA
  21. I feel like the surrender and veteran system have sort of ended nearly all of those 12-48hr matches.
  22. Ahhh, that makes sense. Every time I have the audio bug, I hear my speakers "pop" (something these speakers don't do when normally turning on and off)
