  1. Aha another map and a way to break the bridge so enemies (and your own team) can't use it anymore. Nice!
  2. Idea sounds cool, especially about a huge open map, but it's hard to make anything out if based on the screenshots. Nevertheless keep up the good work!
  3. We were just lucky there, me and someone else placed C4 after removing mines. Then I planted the nuke and went back to the WF to see 3 other SBH's waiting at the door. I think I shouted something like get in and kill it now, which we did. We died there, but nobody came for the beacon. Overall it was a hard fight with loads of repairs on your vehicles. I guess the HON was kinda lucky while we a hard time to archieve anything after we took the ref down. I can't judge for the other team but I had the feeling there was a quick response to every attack we did. The time the games took confirm this, It wasn't like previous matches where one team just got slaughtered. Kenz team wasn't the best team, but still pretty good. It sucks when nobody communicates, but I was under the impression most people did.
  4. That was fun, and we won 2 rounds (Me on the winning team, what's wrong with this world ?). Pretty balanced games and we had to fight hard to win things, this is how I like it!
  5. so oldschool ... You can reply and ask to be notified when a reply is posted. This will make you receive an e-mail, so that might work?

  7. Known bug and fixed in the update (map included in the patch was another and older one). I think Thommy said this was due someone buying an Orca and than it starts playing the wrong sound. Still waiting for the 'negative' remix though
  8. We can make the promotion going when we want. But first we need some servers. With TmX only filled once or twice a week and a small group of the players playing marathon but the rest leaving cause there is no AOW the situation isn't very healthy right now. A mayor update will attract more people, even though the update isn't mayor but we will make it look like it is... I bet loads of players havent been here since Beta3. Is there anything planned regarding to mass mailing? What if we combine this with a new beta (in a month or so with bug fixes, ladder and some maps), or call it the 'full release?'

  12. But than again, points for the team or the person? In the end the team benefits by points for a single player, but this would be more encouraging. I have many rounds where I certainly know I am more usefull than half of my team, but still end up in the lower part of the score list even though I killed a building. The pointwhore 'arty and mrls' people always end up higher, while they don't do anything besides sit and shoot. They usually don't kill the building, but they also don't help in defence. In my opinion this discussion should be broader and also look at repairs / mining (more points when someone dies by your mine), disabling C4 and repairing people / vehicles. Although the building thing can be archieved fairly simpler than the rest off my list.

  14. Nope cause just plant 2 remotes outside and wait till the building goes below 10% and blow them and you are the one responsible for taken it down in this scenario.
  15. 1500 sounds reasonable, voted for this, but I think it would be good to also give the person who destroys it some points. Why I chose 1500: If you take down 4 buildings with C4 solo you will be gaining 6000 points (for the team). This is easily the amount you can get with pointwhoring, so... That's why this sounds fair, to bad the points are entirely for the team, cause if you gain the points the team wil also benefit. This way someone raping the 'shoot'button will not get rewarded as MVP, but the person who actually thought outsite of the box.

    That would be awesome. Or imagine having a dropdown selection in the world info where you can choose themese like Desert, forest/field, or snow, and it would then swap out the character-, building- and vehicle materials Would be cool, but much, much work...

  22. The timer I refered to was from the old command and conquer footage in the picture with Kane. I think there are many people who can help you if you have scripting questions.

Yoo Kenz, as suggested ingame / on IRC: Wouldn't it be cool to make the path between enemy bases defended by some automatic base defences (turrets or AGT / Oby) but that you can either choose to destroy them or use the water (a bit like in coastal) to get behind enemy lines with units / vehicles. A capturable flightdeck carrier from which you can fly planes is also cool, but maybe over the top.

I see the countdown timer in the image, I think you had to land on the beach and fight to loads of resistance in order to set up your base and than you had like an x amount of time to kill the silo(s)? I am just wondering if you could use this element in the map. I tried this myself while making a map but I lack the skills for it so I quit on it. My idea was to have some kinda nuke / ion setup and counting down. If you do not win before (lets say) 3/4th of the game time the nuke / ion destroys your base or just a building. One side is clearly in a favour with this cause they know for sure IF they sit out the time they will have the super weapon destroy it. But than there is a switch / thing / trigger to make the weapon fire on a different location. This what this trigger COULD be: - Control terminal in 'neutral' terrain which locks the missile launch silo which makes it explode inside the base - If GDI destroys something in Nods base (whatever that may be) - By points: party with the highest score at 3/4th of the time won't be hit This could be a real game changer, but it's up for you to decide if you like the idea. Keep up the good work! -
  25. Any updates on this? Can't wait! Handepsilon also imported omni turrets (with some kind of energyfield around them I guess) in his map coastal. Maybe have a look there?
