But there is something realy anoying. It's called: the voting system with the emphasis on voting for new maps. People dont want to teamwork and when that doesnt work, well, lets just spam votes to change maps in which you CAN do stuff solo ... -sigh-
-
Seriously, why are there so many people "scared" to lose their vehicles or characters if it leads to your team's victory? EKT Marathon server, so unless you destroy the enemy buildings, this remains a stalemate. Field map. GDI was on the front door of Nod, with atleast 4 mammoths, 2 MLRS and a couple Meds. As arranged to steamroll in and kill Hon, the douchebag in front of me rolled back when he hit 75% health, blocking me and others. Ok, he got out of the way so I go and show how it's done, right? Well, my mammoth got destroyed and I was thinking, no problem, the other tanks are barraging the HoN. But then people started to back off again ... Me being a hotty trying to repair them, instead of advancing further, they left me vulnerable to enemy fire and backing off ... We had Nod on their downfall, yet people are plainly too stupid and scared to lose their vehicles ... No war is won without sacrifice, without 0 casualties (unless unopposed ofc). So what is it that makes people put their tails between their legs and back off from the assault?! Seriously, this gets me off soooo many times, especially when leading the charge and repairing as a hotty/techy when my tank gets pounded to dust.

Read: Everyone who immediately buys a havoc/sak as soon as the enemy hon/bar dies is a trash player. Not necessarily trash players, just dicks. Then I'm a dick ... To speed up the victory, a few havocs/saks are needed to repel those sprinting/rushing engineers trying to demolish a building as a retaliation. Furthermore, havocs/saks keep tabs on those infantry that rush between buildings to repair them when the assault continues. Destroying them, speeds up the victory... It's not about being a dick, it's about being tactically superior

Most likely Patch, looking at the type of gun with ACOG scope he's holding plus the goggles. Can't be something else

Silly question but ... 32 bit or 64 bit? 32 bit OS only uses 3.5 GB RAM while the 64bit can use all your 8GB RAM

using xpadder gamepad software left stick forward stuck
Truxa replied to renegadexplayer's topic in Technical Support
Agreed, though I presume I know what his problem is (left stick doesnt make him move forward even though he mapped it like that) I am sure that keyboard + mouse is vastly supperior in 1st person shooters than a controller is. Atealst because of the aiming... Unless ofcourse, you got aim-assist -

Map selection process. What is plan, and suggestion.

As I understand from previous posts about upcoming Beta 4 teasers, the voting system will work as following: Server has a full list of maps, but only the top 5 are able to be voted on. To be in the top 5, those maps have not played on much. So lets say Walls was last played, for the next map, walls is out of the voting options. Same as the recent maps before walls, up untill you reach the 5 maps that havent been played on for a while. I heard the Devs are not realy keen on the idea of a set map-rotation yet, exclusing the voting system all together, but in the future it might be a marathon option. Again, these are just rumors I've heard. So they are subject to be changed at any time with the good graces of the devs. -
I just signed up on your new website (the old one .com seems to be replaced) and I would like to know which forum topic is the one (and where is it located) about the mutator. I'd like to ask a few questions related to the mutator. e.g.: Designate an area for mining, mining outside the area would cause the "overmining" EVA message. which would limit the mining use inside the base. Depending on mine limit ofcourse, mines in close proximity of eachother (e.g. doorways) have a set-max before it prompts the EVA overmining message.
-
1: I think it's a mutator added to the server, so it's not by design of the game. 2: Using mines in the enemy base is, in my honest opinion, using mines improperly and thus "overmining". 3: The reason why this is added (if I may presume) is because the community is tired of people abusing mines improperly. Warning these players through an EVA message that YOU are doing something improper should teach you not to do it. It's not a big brother watching over you, it's because you violated the rules set for this mutator to act upon. It's a replacement mechanic for the lack of name-tags on a mine to point out the abuser. This way everyone knows who it is. What I do not like is, that the entire server gets the message instead of the team. In one game I was notified about a GDI player overmining while I'm on Nod. Seems awefully too tactical information

[BETA 3] Crash on launch after RENX Video
Truxa replied to Sheep_Herder's topic in Technical Support
Judging by your gear, you have more than 4GB RAM, don't you? Even though 4G should be enough, when I had that, for me it was still too low so I got me 16GB, which resolved every issue I had. -
No, in this case, the imposter supposedly was already playing while the "real deal" tried to log in with his username he usually used. I discussed this issue in a small bit in IRC last night, with AngryDave. He saw the chat on the TmX server and also noticed some TmX mods ingame, but the issue (abusing glitches) wasnt dealt with right there and then, instead, I was pointed to the rules of the server about not writing such accusations in general chat but keep them private. Yes, for Nero and the other mod, I was playing under another name noticing these facts. As I was playing with a "new" name, you could presume I was a "newb" who knew nothing about the game. This is a direct example of people able to pretend to be someone else than they realy are. And glitchers like M2Fasts and HollyDolly break the game for people like me. They force me into going incognito and nameshame them publicly, because what else can "we" do if the mods don't deal with them? Please note, in case of M2Fasts it remains to be seen if he was the original one, I do however, recall an event from a couple days ago where he abused glitches on other maps. So, it's either a ruse to disctract the community from him cheating and cleaning his name or he wasnt abusing. What I HAVE done is, issued a recorddemo of the mentioned Islands game where both players at that moment (M2Fasts and HollyDolly) were sniping from illegal glitched locations into Nod base. Like I said on IRC, it's a good thing I'm no mod because I would IP ban every glitch abuser I see abusing glitches more than once. It's a harsh method, but every player KNOWS EXACTLY HOW A GAME IS SUPPOSED TO BE PLAYED AND WHAT IS A GLITCH AND WHAT IS NOT! Therefor, it's inexcusable to be "oblivious" of something being a glitch. And yes, I'm also talking about vehicle surfing NOT being an "advanced tactic" but being an abuse of a glitch. (Hotty on orca e.g.)

Hi there, Today on the TmX server I saw a glitchabuser. His name was M2Fasts. Now, before flaming me for ratting or him or anyone else for doing it, the next game (Lakeside) there was a "Player22222" (5-digit player number) who claimed that M2Fasts was HIS nickname for the passed 6 months. So, now we have a new way of shaming someone innocent into being a cheater/glitch abuser by using their nickname. All because we cannot register our nicknames and it's far too easy to change the name in-game. Just press F5 and type Setname (nickname) and voila you got a new name. Nice to cheaters/glitchers doing something "naughty" and changing the name as fast as it's reported. So, we need something to register our nicknames and keep them personal to a single player (and wipe the leaderboard aswell Sorry Yosh) I understand this might be an option when you get the green light for Steam, but untill then, we need a solution. This way, a nickname is registered to an email and when you ban the nick, you ban the email ... making it harder for cheaters.

I totally disagree with you here! How are you considered an "idiot" if the buggy is maneuverable and you just can't land 5 consecutive shots on that buggy? Even so, driving around tight corners well give the med 2 shots at max to the buggy, how can you prevent that buggy hitting you there and then?! Last thing: Shock and awe! A flaming buggy killing that 1 tank will make the other players reconsider and stalling the advance (if there is any) or in case of defense, that 1 med is down for the rest of your team to forget about. Oh sorry, last thing for real now: Last time I heard, Christ never fucked anyone

Another bug on X-Mountain. A Nod SBH player rushed a buggy behind GDI ref and got stuck in the rocks. He couldn't get out (or didn't try) and didn't die even though some hotties/engineers covered the rocks with C4's. He raised awareness with GDI by shooting his laser. He placed a nuke there and blew up the ref resulting in a kick. He did mention though that he was assured the beacon wouldn't hit ref, but it did. These bugs kinda ruin the game on X-mountain.
-
Yup ... Occasionally having that problem of being unable to shoot... Without any reason

Hard to call it a fault on devs end. Todays machines have hard drives well over 100gb in capacity. Anyone with a decent PC and some small knowledge about handling a PC shuld know that thay should atleast keep 15% of that HDD drive empty for defragging purposes. 15% of 100gb = 15gb which should be plenty of space to be temporarily being used to install a game on another drive. Even an old 50gb HDD (which should have 7.5gb free) should be enough.

Thats a bug which I reported earlier and a dev responded it being a bug. Most likely the same as the squish bug. It's been dealt with in the next beta
-
small streamers are safe to my understanding, it's when they get big is where the problems begin, paid or unpaid. It's like Frankie said: recording a glitch and publishing it, quickly gets dealt with to saveguard the profits they make. People who find it unfair stay away from the game, thus bad player numbers. The bigger streamers make money out of gameplay, the big corps want a share of that (they smell $$$)

I found a youtuber who explains during one of his videos if streaming or using game footage is allowed or not: He starts to explain after the 9:30 mark. I like this guy for other video's he makes/made (Dayz) and not BF4 or CS:GO, although his videos are the reason why I dont like BF4 or CS:GO It's quite important info for any streamer/youtuber! I HIGHLY suggest you hear him explain stuff

Twitch page unavailible too bad, cant enjoy the match

I'm no lone-wolf, I'm simply going commando ... oh wait, thats something ... different
-
Yosh, signs of true leaders are those who can get a bunch of untrained, disorderly, whining, childish, I would say people but... noobs in line for a combined effort engi rushing. Nothing more scary than many simple engineers readying their C4's in the face of the enemy!

Since you obviously are wealthy as you are, a better cause would be me: an unemployed jobseeker running out of luck.
