  1. Regarding the sniper rifles, I think it's a legit update. Still a good weapon except CQC is nerfed as it should be.
  2. Agree with telling which vehicle type is too much info. The problem we want to solve is to just catch the team hamperer giving out vehicles to the enemy intentionally. If a teammate spots the stolen vehicle, he should inform the team what vehicle it is (I believe this isn't a problem as I always see people telling the team the vehicle type if it's stolen), it promotes a bit info-relaying among team members too.
  3. Usually, the enemy player will bitch about it and reveal the name for example: "thanks knabis65 for the stank..." when they steal a vehicle from the other team.
  4. Soldiers to take cover behind them. But the barb wire....
  5. Most people like placing 3 mines at door. There are pros and cons but a single EMP grenade can disarm all, I like putting mines far from each other (but the infiltrator still needs to disarm 3 to get to the MCT) like f.e. the front door of a refinery: 1 at the door, 1 behind the mine at the door and 1 just behind the wall to the left corridor. If somebody throws an EMP, only the one at the door will be affected. But the criticism of this placement is that only 1 mine needs to be disarmed while the infiltrator is outdoor and he can disarm the other 2 while already inside the building so he has less time being exposed but screw it, no mine placement is perfect. This works better against EMP infiltrators than repair gun/tool users but other players can notice the mine count drop (since the mines are placed a bit further from each other, it takes more time to disarm all 3 and more time for players to realize a mine drop) and people respawning/camping inside the building can still counter the infiltrator even if it is a hotwire/technician.
  6. Possible since original Renegade, but no one does it because you have to place the beacon in the open (in between the 2 structures) and it is easy to spot and disarm but if it's on top and in between rocks, it may need some attention.
  7. Same here, I always use different names to smurf. I'm not a hacker, come on guys.
  8. It's the constant bitching and whining about the team that shows the true colors of the players, especially after a friendly building is destroyed where the team blaming/flaming begins. I don't mind competitive taunts like cunt and so on to the enemy, but backfiring to your team members isn't anything competitive. Yesterday at Complex in GDI, you were complaining too (but no harsh language, just annoying that doesn't make situation better) but another teammate said "idiot team" which causes a new player to respond "toxic community" and then she left. This is the kind of thing that keeps newcomers unwelcome. I'm sure many players here play the game because they were Renegade players in 2002, eventhough the game isn't much alive now. Some people stay in dying games because they want to feel attached to the game and the people playing it. It's a small community so we can be nice and respected by fellow RenegadeX players, this is why I'm still playing Tiberian Dawn today as people there are nice and I not only play TD for its enjoyment, but playing against/with fellow TD players makes me feel welcomingly attached to the community... but this kinda community we're having in Renegade X makes people unwelcome, the only thing that keeps people playing is nostalgia, the gaming environment/community is toxic and it keeps people feel uncomfortable playing it. I can handle the salt from this cringey community, but yesterday's event at Complex is a perfect example of how new players show their disgust playing here.
  9. Pointing at them and the color of the outline will tell you it's friendly or not (even spies) but I do feel this issue sometimes, one time after seeing the outline when I pointed at a friendly NOD Officer (who looks like GDI officer because he was bright yellow from a distance), I even thought that was a GDI officer spy teammate.
  10. kane probably hide his diary to keep those stealth soldiers from reading it
  11. So how does players get out of the building if they spawn inside it is locked?
  12. Nice, I had 48 ping, other servers 300+
  13. People can trace the blue throw line of EMP grenades, unless the grenadier is smart enough to pick the right time throwing when nobody's watching. I just think EMP grenades need more use in disabling tanks.
  14. not green, it would confuse when its already too late
  15. I do see team stacks these days and if that doesn't scare away the new players getting stomped then it's the constantly bitching and whining from the losing team members and the banters from the other stacked team.
  16. Nod should be punished for letting a GDI spy or whatever planted a beacon. (this coming from a Nod player)
  17. This happened to me and I've seen on others many times, even with other characters but usually more common on engineer-type characters. I thought I'm the only one seeing this (only appears on my computer) since no one else mentioned anything about it when a character with that "broken" is in a group.
  18. Should only affect infantry and damage is no more than a single grenade launcher (grenadier's) attack. All damage is the same whether it's flamethrower or sydney except maybe the chem warrior could have a little poison effect. If this is gonna be implemented, that is.
  19. Keeps people from abandoning their team and join the other when they're losing.
  20. 1k characters oneshot kill against base level infantry is fine as long as the auto rifle, shotgun and flamethrower does much more damage to them.
  21. there are still people playing it
  22. It's common sense not to go near a stealth ally if you're not cloaked. I've played with Alex and I think he knows stealth units are invisible to the enemy so he should have avoided getting near the stealth allies. Still, I won't be mad at players hampering their teammates if it's not intentional (I even giggled when a teammate in a stealth tank rush team got tempted and opened fire on an enemy, giving away our stealth tank rush plan). The fact that Alex was over-mining after me and some other teammates asked him nicely to stop placing proximity C4s is quite frowned upon.
  23. At least he's not pretending to be unaware that he's b2b'ing this time.
