  3. I haven't heard of any "new" games to the series. They're only doing remasters of the originals.
  4. If you use Steam, it will use your Steam name at the beginning of every match. Other wise, f5 setname name. Unless you mean on forums, otherwise go to your settings and change https://renegade-x.com/settings/
  5. Specifically replying to anti-stacking; I solely play this game to play with other people. I don't find it fun alone, and that's the case with every game I play. If people want to play together, they will circumvent any system that is put in place. Attempting to automatically swap people won't change anything. I don't see an issue with balance now, it is fruitless and a waste of time devoting energy to trying to "fix" people playing with their friends.
  6. Most of the time I just see it at the beginning of a match, hoping the enemies haven't mined yet. I've seen it most on Walls.

  8. I'd rather discuss anything that has to do with anti-cheat in private, for obvious reasons. Also, this should be integrated with forum accounts, not separate. Also, as we are moving towards a new launcher, I don't know if all of this would be usable. It is possible that some integration changes may change, but nothing is for certain. I'd rather hold off on doing anything like this for a little while.
  9. Is this in skirmish? Multiplayer? Which maps? These factors can make a huge difference in FPS.
  10. I wouldn't get your hopes up. There are not a lot of resources being devoted to this, as the programming team is just too small, with too many tasks. Heavy prioritizing has to be done to get anything accomplished, and this isn't very high up on the list.
  11. Just download the entire game through the launcher, don't launch the game. Put everything onto the USB and it should be fine. The actual registering with the registry and "installing" should be done once you open the game. Make sure to include the UERedist as well. To make a server a "LAN" server, add ?bIsLanMatch=true to your server startup. https://api.unrealengine.com/udk/Three/CommandLineArguments.html#Server Options I recommend testing this extensively before hand, as I don't know if the USB install would work like that, that's just my first guess. I think it really boils down to the fact that we aren't putting any resources towards advertising, as we don't think the game is in a good enough state yet (that's why it's still beta) and we are still working on things. The game will never likely have a "breakthrough" without advertising. It's not fun or desirable to have specific times where servers are active, but that's just the state of the game right now.
  13. We have been working on many things. But as Fobby said, "When things are quiet, it's good. It means we are busy working". And while I know a response that lacks a denial could be used as an affirmation, take it as you will. I hope that we can soon release a preview of what we have been working on! I hope we can reach a state that would be optimal for sharing and testing soon.   14. Can they hit from the base? No. I was in that match, if you're talking about Whiteout. I was one of the snipers sniping into the base, and it looked normal to me. I also played Snow X if you were referring to that map, though I don't really know since I don't know what Winter X is.
  15. You're toast! Well, mostly what it seems to be is that teams will use rocket soldiers to kill buildings (they are extremely potent against buildings, especially after elite, they get a 25% damage boost to buildings at elite, on top of their damage boost in general from veterancy). In general, this does require more team work, and sometimes it requires multiple attempts, as you can do permanent damage even if you don't kill the building. I would say in general the infantry in RenX are a lot better than they were in Renegade.
  16. Hey RoCkStar, I remember playing a few games with you and seeing you around MPF. I know I saw NFHAVOC ingame yesterday, don't know if I saw you last night or not. Thanks for giving our game a try! Yeah, the infantry is quite a bit different, by design. Directly comparing the 2 games will result in seeing quite a few differences, but most of them are by choice. IMO, the humvee and APC are vastly different in RenX. The humvee is far better at anti infantry, and is more fragile. APC is better at transport (hardly ever used for that) and anti-air.   17. As pointed out, this game is not a remake. The physics are exactly what we expect them to be, the gunplay is fine. That's all a matter of taste. If you don't like those, and it's that big of an issue, this game might not be for you. The game crashes need to be looked into, I would need some logs for that. Not many people have random crashing issues, and as devs can not replicate the issue, we can not test a fix. Thank you for playing and supporting us, and thank you for your feedback.

  20. Correct, and no. They use proprietary code from other companies, they are not allowed to release it for free.
