  1. We will strive to make the game intuitive, and have an intro video at least, building a tutorial into the launcher is an idea we've had. When we get closer to release we can work on polish and finishing touches as this.
  2. TBH Tib sun is my least favourite, compared to TD and Red Alert/RA2 You'll find some more unique styles in the original tracks, rather than the remake tracks. Both of them are good, though
  3. Tank headshots are 10x or around 10x damage in RenX. This will be 600 damage or more, so it will 1 hit most characters. I think LCG *at certain vet ranks*, maybe Gunner *at certain vet ranks*, and Adv Sydney and Mutant Rav can survive tank headshots.

For the next track releases, we'd like to get your opinion and see which of the tracks are your favourites. We will be opening a poll for the next few days to determine which Tiberian Sun remake tracks the community would like to see released next.   5. If you're expecting inf to get insta killed by vehicles like in OG ren, it's quite different. I think splash damage is a bit different, infantry have different armour types, and the damage multipliers on the armour types can be significant. Overall in the last years, the time to kill has been adjusted significantly in RenX. LCG nerfed compared to when? No.

  7. All the sounds can be found in the SDK You'll have to find the door package and export the sound wave file, and you'll have the .wav
  8. Because they aren't the same. We use Unreal Development Kit, which is not Unreal Engine 3, and does not come with all the same base stuff or from whatever earlier UT game. (The "extra" Logitech buttons are actually a separate DLL and extra scripts you have to load, which nobody has as I don't think anyone knew it existed, I only discovered it a while back). They could be added, but I haven't attempted to do it yet, so no promise that it works or is compatible with our version. LeftBracket - [ RightBracket - ] Are the proper bindkey names for those buttons. setbind "LeftBracket" GBA_SwitchWeapon6 is the correct syntax
  9. Run this command ingame in the console, using f5 or ` to open it setbind O shot O can be any key, just an example.

We are working on a quick video tutorial, but that is probably going to be something more broad about the RenX C&C gamemode more than hotkeys and such.
  11. Repair Tool and any other items you buy from that tab use the hotkey 6. 2 is for primary weapons. All bindable keys and mouse buttons are listed here. Extra buttons besides those are not support by default in UDK.

  13. Firestorm has very different infantry play, not comparable to RenX at all. Snipers have a very different role and are far less integral to map play.
  14. Try going to your Renegade X directory, deleting Binaries and then go to the Launcher, press the settings button and verify game integrity.
  15. I think people are taking it far too literally, especially coming from someone like Tytonium. Of course we do not advocate or condone players abusing other players, but context is important. If there's something new or any more info about this topic, feel free to DM me.

  20. I have previously kicked his alt accounts, I am not really active in RenX at the moment, but I'll setup a notification for when he joins and monitor the situation. If you haven't already, try using modrequests to get attention of mods. I haven't been on IRC so if you have been modrequesting recently, I haven't been able to see it, but I will now.

If you used this exact batch file, you would place it in the Renegade X directory start Binaries\Win64\UDK.exe server DEF-DarkNight?bIsLanMatch=true -nosteam Mine and tank limits are all defined by the map itself, although the configs still contain it, changing the configs won't do anything. As far as I'm aware, all the bot limits and such are irrelevant for defense mode, as the map contains bot spawners and it's own wave count and such. I may be wrong with that.     Bloom?

    Post processing is no longer in the settings menu, unless it was readded back. Post processing covers a wide range of visual effects, such as depth of field, blur, colours and etc. Static/dynamic decals are 2D textures like a sticker on meshes. Such as, blood effects, splatter marks, scorch/burn marks, tiberium veins, etc. From what I know, ambient occlusion has to do with approximating lighting and shadows. Bloom has less to do with looking directly at lights, and more about how it makes other objects around it "glow". This includes making rocks and other stuff that could be considered "shiny" to be coloured like the light sources around it. The other settings are mostly self-explanatory.
