  1. No i am not talking about picking up chunks of tiberium ... Stanks did flicker their blue transparent skin a little when they were moving on a tiberium field not like Nod sees it but you could see them much better if you were close enough I remember this beeing an issue on City for example ... when you plan a stankrush to the WF through the gap under the bridge and BEHIND the tiberiumfield ... sometimes some stanks went ahead and waited at that field, showing a randomly passing GDI unit that there is something ... even if that not did reveal the whole rush it opened a fight that at least did delay the rush ... some bullet spray may also hit other stanks that have been more carefull
  2. i think that is considered a unreachable place and sure will be removed in next patch ... so i would say it is not legal ... nod does not have a chance to defuse after the strip is dead ... and even while it still is alive you need to find it there and maybe buy an apache to fly there and defuse ... al in 45 seconds and under fire ... actually this is no question i think ... stay fair!
  3. oh please no ranks ... not every game needs ranks about vehicle modifications, i do not feel the need for that ...
  4. try to download the new beta 2 ... uninstall the game and install the new download ... maybe that helps

  7. doubt devs can even ban you from all servers ... probably you are using beta 1 to connect to beta 2 servers ... and, well, i would not post any of my IPs public
  8. if I remember correct Hotwires and Moebius units were able to see stealthunits a little better than regular GDI units... in classic renegade not to forget that in classic renegade stealthunits did kinda flash or blink if they got hit by any projectile, if they got in contact with tiberium of any kind or took any damage... that is totaly missing in renegade-x so far stanks had to avoid tiberium fields like infantery ...
  9. good raw idea ... maybe it would be good to have 2 buildings to capture and hold for like 5 minutes ... destroying the base would not end the game ... but imagine how hard it would be to hold 2 opposite points of the map without higher infantery and/or vehicles
  10. I do not like Field either ... but it could be less painfull to play it if there were these changes ... Field-X
  11. there stil a lot people whoa re very new ... maybe thats a reason aswell ... they just do not know any advanced tactics ... i see a lot of engies repairing destroyed buildings ... and a lot questions why not doing certain things ... this may change ...

  13. if i remember right on maps with no BD Nod always did nuke a lot ... specialy on islands, volcano and walls ... on complex and canyon flamerushs or stankrushs were very common .. i guess we have to wait for those and then we see that not on ALL maps without BD Nod nukes GDI off the map. for the teamswiching ... i think that should be disabled, like in classic renegade ... and you should always put on the same team after you reconnect (include a credit save) that could be done with steam ID ... if people know about that benefit they would use steam aswell ...
  14. it happened in original renegade ... i remember doing this many times ... it was a decent tactic if the gdi base was under sige ... gather few engis and hotwires .... done easy
  15. different games handle things different ... I play minecraft with more than 1GB ram usage

Going to the wall at the airstrip is like a walk in the park tbh ... i do not see any difference for the two beaconspots on each side ... and like said b4, with two units you can easy enter the nod ref ... i do not know how much you need to get to belisk, but i saw that happen too (think 3 must be enough) I still would like to see changes in field ... like this: viewtopic.php?f=35&t=73073
  17. it has been reported that the spy gets seen by BD if the spy entered and exited a vehicle
  18. thats public gaming... i remember in classic renegade you had the same problem... BUT if you got a few regulars on the server they can develop new strategies and win even if they lost infantery and vehicle against a full base team ... people need to adapt on the gameplay a little more ... even if its an arcade shooter, sometimes you need more than just running and shooting how you describe it, it sounds like you never gathered more than 3 or 4 people to try something different together
  19. i think that is not a bug, that seems to be intented ... and it is good ... I always mine the rail and the boxes you do not need more mines, just smart placement. the airstrike thing is a pretty sweet and smart tactic dude! THAT indeed sucks!

I still think that 3 votes should only be enough if it represents at least 35% of the server ... if no map got at least 35%, the server cycle to the next map in rotation. if 2 maps got the same % on the vote, and are over 35%, it will decide random for 1 of the 2. and, ofcourse, the recently finished map can not be voted for an other 2 votes
  21. The funny thing is that these Dumb bots are still brainiacs compared to the classic renegade bots but it is true, they need some polish ... but that should (and probably is) very low priority
  22. 5 seconds is far to long ... 1 second at very max ... and i think you actually can hear them aswell
  23. interesting ideas ... even if i not like the recon bike ... but in general this sounds like something to think about
  24. i think a hud icon would be too much ... it should take more efford to keep it! people schould have to check the silo every once in a while or at least the PT but you easy can see it if you monitor the cashflow for 2 seconds but an EVA message would be nice ... "Techbuilding lost"
  25. you may not speak of realism for renegade please (or games in general ) they might just flash their blue transparent skin, with 50% visibility that NOD has, for half a second if they hit an enemy unit ... i think more would be bad ...
