  1. can you at least put it somewhere on Dropbox or somewhere? I would really like to see that match from your perspective. Did anyone from team Gormomma record?
  2. Now that I watched recordings, I noticed that I was a bit louder than usual, and clogged voice chat more than necessary. I apologise for that. Did anyone from team Schmitzenbergh record?
  3. My PC decided to spontaniously reboot during first match due to Windows 10 being awful OS. From my experience, only Goldrush was decent match, all others were one team getting instantly destroyed by the other. Probably due to lower player count and therefore less options to distribute role-taking players properly between teams. But goldrush I believe was properly balanced and therefore very enjoyable to play. Could someone who was present all the time write a recap?
  4. That was just because I joined No. for real, Tomb was one of the best examples of teamwork and coordination that I have seen in a long time. Too bad we didn't really carry that into next matches. Well, Complex we had a chance of winning, but on Canyon playing against GDI with a team that does not main tank, we didn't stand much chance at all. That medium tank rush was beautiful. You basically deleted everything that stood in your path. 5 artys, each with 2 heals and you guys weren't even worried.
  5. @HuskerDoggo Were you the one patrolling in APC? Because when we got into position to place timers on Bar there was an APC that almost discovered us. Even drove over the barricade at the back of Bar. I was really scared that we will get brutally murdered by that thing.

    >mfw on Discord I can't hear my team
  7. From what I see, it was a really awesome PUG. Hopefully I can join next week.
  8. Couldn't be there, sorry. Could I ask for a bit more detailed recap please? Or did someone record and I should just wait for recordings to get uploaded?
  9. I think that jumping trough glass into air tower and jumping sandbags on ramp-less baracks can be considered advanced tactics. I personally still have troible jumping onto barracks sandbags on Snow. Too pro for tutorial.
  10. I think that what for us (team Jeff) to win Mesa, we would require *superior* communication. We had decent communication, we got info quickly enough to react in most cases (we saved Ref from imminent destruction what, three times?). But to get proper resource-distribution, we would require really superior communication. I do not agree with the idea that *everyone* should be on short side. In that case we would completely lose economy. To be completely honest, I was not exactly sure what our distribution is, how many tanks do we have on each side. I don't like to press M and stop playing the game just to see what is going on on the battlefield. I would love to see minimap with that functionality. But the fact that we did not have enough tanks on the short side at all times indicates that either not whole team listened well to the players who reported the state of the battlefield or not whole team unerstood the priorities on the map. Also, is it intentional that short side is made so that Nod has nice picnic place for all the artys while GDI has to fight uphill battle and snipe artys between the rocks? Is that not a bit unbalanced? I did not know it is possible either. On one hand, it feels very exploitable to me. But on the other hand, you need really organised team with very leveled players to be actually able to use that "explot". Second, @Quincy has superior infiltration and beacon-defense skills.
  11. Could meta-tips by any chance be included in the tutorial? Meta-tips like "always keep an eye on what your team currently needs the most", "if you can currently choose between multiple roles, choose the one you are good at", stuff like that. I mean, this tutorial map would allow braindead newcomers to get familiar with game mechanics before they start fucking on public server like headless chicken, but they would still not get the bigger picture of how all the RenX game mechanics work together. I'm writing this post because I had a very unpleasant experience today on public server where I really wished that more people used common sense. I was in a game of Goldrush, when I got SBH spy, grabbed an Ion and went on my way to PP. Team was very low on tanks, so I made a survey where I said that I have SBH spy and that they are now in charge of keeping vehicle count up. When I came to PP, there was a flame trooper spy already there, flaming MCT trough open door. I said to myself "I wish this dude wouldn't have alerted Nod to come check PP, but since he is here, we can wait some time and then he helps me cover my Ion.". I saw Nod already coming to respond to PP under attack, so I had to make a split-second decision. Instead of opening team chat and hoping dude knows how to read, I chose to Q-spot the shit out of him. It resulted in a lot of "follow me" commands. However, after 5 seconds of Q-spamming, dude finally stops shooting MCT, but he must have taken it a bit too literally, and started running towards me, an very invisible guy who does not want to be discovered. Of course Nod officer filled him full of bullets and after few seconds of searching around also found me and killed me. The rage I felt for the slow bastard is hard to explain in words. I really wish there was something in Renegade X where you are put in a middle of some situation / scenario and you have to react in most reasonable way possible. And then you get a "Verified non-retard" award that shows up next to your name in game.
  12. Channel ded. Press F to pay respects.
  13. Would anyone be willing to try out this thing? http://www.moddb.com/mods/cc-assault
  14. OK, I will try to do recap this time. Team commanders were @CampinJeff and @Quincy right? Match 1 - Crashsite Both teams push into crashed ship and send some people on the field. Nod manages to get silo and abandoend WF. Shortly after that GDI sends greneder rush to HoN, which deals some perma damage. Nod starts getting vehicles, but that is shortly interrupted when GDI APC delivers engies directly to airstrip and whole thing goes up in flames. Nod tries to use the vehicles they got, but are quickly overrun by medium tanks. Nod answers with LCG spam, but they have hard time staying alive due to sniper bullets to the face. GDI captures abandoned WF and gets few titans. Nod is slowly being pushed into their base. GDI tries to time Ion at PP with Sidney rush trough the ship, but Sidney rush gets denied by Mendoza. GDI completely controls the field and ends the game by pushing into Nod base and destroying it. Team Jeff (Nod) 0 - 1 Team Quincy (GDI) Match 2 - Goldrush GDI goes for soldier rush, on infantry path, which meets with Nod infantry rush, but GDI overpowers Nod and gets inside HoN, but Nod quickly responds to that and removes all C4 from MCT. GDI quickly follows up with officer rush, which also gets into HoN but again gets quickly taken care of. Nod destroys GDI harvester and with that delays GDI tanks. GDI never fully commits to getting tanks and controlling field, while Nod bets heavily on artileries with a lot of repairs. Nod manages to get permadamage on GDI ref with artilery fire, but that motivates GDI to get more tanks and arty threat is quickly decreased. Throughout whole match teams are exchanging field control, but in the end Nod manages to get artileries back in position to finish off refinery. Shortly after that Mendoza infiltrates WF and kills everyone who attempts to heal the MCT. WF goes down, GDI surrenders and enjoy the spectacular destruction of their base. Team Jeff (GDI) 0 - 2 Team Quincy (Nod) Match 3 - Complex Nod wins the contest for silo. Some GDI infantry tries to be sneaky by going around, but is seen and denied. Nod gets a lot of artilery and gets aggresive on GDI base. GDI answers with medium tanks, but does not regain control of the field. After some time GDI tries gunner rush, but Nod is prepaired and quickly removes said threat. With constant artilery bombardment from all paths and constantily switching targets, Nod manages to get some perma damage on GDI buildings. GDI takes the upper (bridge?) path, but never for long. Eventually Nod manages to put enough pressure on GDI base to get buildings slowly dying one by one. Team Jeff (Nod) 1 - 2 Team Quincy (GDI) Match 4 - Lakeside GDI goes for scary greneder rush to Hon trough the forest. Surprisingly Nod does not get alerted fast enough and HoN goes up in flames. After that GDI quickly gets orcas some and prepaires to counter apache rush, but are kept waiting for quite some time before apache rush actually happens. Nod rushes with apaches and few transport helicopters carrying techs, but does not do much damage. Throughout the match both teams are playing "chicken" with each other by having decent amount of flying vehicles but not actually moving far out from their base. Air rush happens from time to time, but without much effect. Nod tries to make sneaky attack with few stealth tanks, but they get discovered before they can do any damage to GDI base. GDI controls the air and their tanks start putting pressure on Nod base. Nod gets slowly pushed into their base. Match ends by GDI tanks hanging around in Nod base. Team Jeff (GDI) 2 - 2 Team Quincy (Nod) 15+ people in both teams. GGs overall, very good PUG, had fun. I licence this recap under Creative Commons licence. Feel free to correct / improve it. Also, @LavaDr4gon or anyone else interested, I have recording of teamspeak-only voice chat from team Jeff. It is not best quality because I am in Romania on hotel's wifi, and it is very plausible that at the time @Crowsy was clogging internet for whole Romania by downloading pornography. If you want it for voiceover of some sweet demo footage, do tell.
  15. We were all in TS8. Get with the times bro :^)
  16. We should really start recording TS chat. For possible good moments that Lavadragon could use when creating aweaome trailers and so that we get at least some recording from other team in case that all players who record video end up on same team. Regarding the Volcano match: That buggy rush was high-risk-high-reward tactic. But you guys could have easily dominated the field even after that. But you guys never got 8/8 tanks, or not even enough artys. If I was on your team in that match I would be very salty about this. Well, if there was a recording of Tomb from our side, you could hear how I feel about team not getting tanks.
  17. Did anyone from our team record?
  18. Just found this: server with big maps, 120 player limit and squad mechanics when? I think it would be interesting to see if bots followed players as squad members, each player having a squad of [number_of_bots / number_of_players] bots by default, but could request more/less bots.
  19. >Let Us Command And Conquer Again Awesome slogan.
  20. I am really happy that you guys are recording PUGs, so that we can see the match from both sides. Especaially when you two meet. Like at 16:22 @TK0104 / 20:45 @Gliven it is very interesting to see how it happened from both of your perspectives. Or how it was exactly you two who were key actors regarding the airstrip destruction. Also, Gliven's recording at 25:55: @CampinJeff lolwat, why did you call for PP? And at 32:36 there is interesting explosion.
  21. "Medspam this!" - @CampinJeff when LCGs started melting medium tanks
  22. I'm not saying he returned. Just that your channel would overtake the role of his channel. Don't get me wrong, I approve the idea of channel for all things RenX related instead of having RenX promo videos on someone's personal channel. But still, you should explore few options about how to handle the channel access. I'm saying that because Steam Group seems to be in the situation where we don't know who has access to the admin account. Hopefully owner did not get hit by a bus. It would be nice if same thing would not happen to this YT channel. Or Twitter and Facebook. Do we know who has access to those two?
  23. So I presume that means that FobbyGen's channel won't be used as an official way to deliver RenX promo videos any more. Who will have access to that channel? If you get hit by a bus, will there be a way to keep the channel going? @j0g32 Squad stories as in this or this? (o fuck, made me find this parody) I think that best way to make RenX trailer in that format would be to record TeamSpeak chat seperately from in-game sound in future PUGs, and combine that with @LavaDr4gon's style of video instead of in-game footage, meaning PUG demo file also has to be recorded on server. I think that would produce better, more natural scenes than something scripted. But if it turns out that scripted match will look better, than I gladly take my part in it. Relevant topics:
  24. Wait, Raveshaw shot does deal some damage over time after successful hit, right? I thought that on Tomb @CampinJeff managed to successfully land two shots on me with Raveshaw at ~7:15 on his videos. But from what I see now, I just didn't get to refill in time and died to afterburn.
