  1. Have no heard of this yet... Have you tried restarting your game or your computer? I just don't know what could be causing that. As far as the servers go, try using the browser launcher instead of the in game launcher. The in game one is currently bugged for some people.
  2. Yes, they have a server in renegade x. Likely more to come as well. It's usually one of the most populated servers. If you can't find it, perhaps it is in maintenance and will be back up shortly.
  3. There was talk of a 3-4 second cool down on refills, but it was shot down. It was part of the core gameplay of renegade that gave defenders the advantage over offenders when inside their own building. If you want to speak strategy, there is multiple ways you can avoid having your enemy use this.
  4. You were a phase 3 beta tester, why did you not bring any of this up during testing I did. I brought up many things, but in the end they were just one guys opinion. The current release is an open beta, and so it means that more people are able to see and understand my points. For private beta testing, the focus was mostly on fixing the glitches. The problem was that for every one that got fixed, it seemed like a new one popped up somewhere. So the focus was on fixing any and all major gameplay bugs that would turn people away immediately. Unfortunately, a few were overlooked or came up too late for the devs to create any last second fixes to. That's why the current release is an open beta. Most things are subject to change, and many things likely will.
  5. Yes, for some reason some resolutions aren't being shown and others are being double shown, currently. This is being fixed currently. Until then, press "`" and type "setres 1920x1080" in game.
  6. http://jelly-server.com/index.php A renegade based community that hosts one of only 3 servers that regularly are highly populated in renegade still to this day. It's been around since 2007 I believe, and is eextremely competitive, both privately and publicly.
  7. Id have to agree on the graphics and velocity of weapons parts in particular. Almost too much graphical interference. Gameplay should triumph realism and looks in a renegade based game. The current graphics make it seem like priorities were elsewhere. They are beautiful and well designed, but not for a multiplayer game, as mentioned. Too much interference for the players is just a huge hinderence. The velocity is lower than it is in renegade. When you add the sprint feature, it essentially made it a double Nerf to infantry vs infantry combat. There needs to be some sort of "start up sprint speed" to make the sprint not so instantly fast. There also needs to be some sort of edit to strafing while sprinting. Currently, you change direction from one angle to the next instantly. Please make a cutting animation that takes a fraction of a second while sprinting in order to change direction. The characters are far too agile. Sprinting should also have its negative impacts as well, besides that of not being able to shoot. Please add the startup sprint speed (meaning sprinting gradually increases to its max speed over a couple of seconds), as well as the "cut/strafe" animation and delay.
  8. Then don't stand near him when he gets a crate That's just part of the game, my friend. Crates are editable server side, though. So you can just petition a specific server to them off certain crates if you want, or you can decide to start up you're own and edit them yourself.

  10. Try jelly. Most competitive community in the original Renegade in terms of community wars and community war wins. Several jelly regulars were also regular clanwars players too.

    Lol renguard Udk doesn't have any actual cheat protection by default. It's only "protection" is to make sure some certain files cannot be edited per user. Any third party program that enables a cheat would have to be detected client sided by the game, or serversided.
  12. It was discovered. Just too late to fix. It wasn't always in the beta, and was the result of another fix I believe. It has been reported several times now, so I doubt the devs haven't already seen it, and I am sure they are working on a fix.
  13. The games are not currently that competitive at all. Too many people are new, and so the games are lasting a long time and teams are getting a lot of credits because of this. Just give it a couple weeks when actual strategy starts being implemented per team, and the usefulness of credits will become much more apparent.

    Play marathon mode if you're against points deciding the game. The addition of the ped will help games end quicker in situations like that in some servers. If the enemy team can't get a nuke off at the last building, they will at least be able to get a ped nuke set, hopefully.
  15. Not possible. Only way is for a vehicle crate, which odds increase slightly after the destruction of vehicle creation buildings. So it was either several lucky crates or they were bought before hand.
  16. I just tone out the people who don't understand the gameplay, and so think it is flawed. Either they stay to play long enough to actually get it, or they leave back to their uncreative simplistic modern fps game. One can only hope to devs are doing the same, and not taking the criticism or suggestions of complete newcomers after a few hours of play.
  17. It Is being reconsidered with another alternative option that will take time to implement. Thank you for your input and please be patient For the record though, even with the immune time, the beacon disarmable time is actually 5 seconds longer in renegade x than renegade. But trust me, I know where you're coming from and am all for a redo of the system.

    If they don't bother shooting you at all, then go for it. 95% of the time you'll want to kill the tank first though, so that the other team isn't getting as many points, while your team is. That's why field control is important. If they aren't willing to shoot your tank, then take theirs out. If they are, then they aren't getting as many points by doing so. Either way, you win out by attacking them.
  19. Plans were to be able to accommodate for much more, actually. It's just that during private beta testing, we weren't able to do many games over 30 people ever, so that's why this stage is very useful. There was also never the in-game working browser until very recently, so the new additions are always going to be the most bug prone aspects. Don't worry too much though, the devs here read all the reports, discuss it, and make the necessary changes with rather impressive speed.

    Shooting buildings is supposed to earn you the most points. That's the incentive not to camp, and try to go out and destroy the tanks pointwhoring your base.

  22. Yes, this was reported in the private beta as well. It can get real annoying.
  23. Yeah, main issue is the sounds, usually nobody notice and if they do its only 20sec left before it goes off. And while at it, please give me my back Health indicator or damage location indicator? It'd be nice if the damage location indicator was more....apparent too. When you just start losing health, it's good to know what general direction the damage is coming from. Renegade had the damage indicators like in this screenshot (the red curved line) that informed experienced players where they were being hit from. I'd very much like to see this return as well as the health status update when damaged (ammo notifier too - while we're at it).
