Closing threads and conversations with a blatant lie, a reputation-killer sentence, without even have a simple investigation and research done. Gladly they listened on this case and edited it. But damage might be done already..

How do you know all the internal workings of Totem Arts? Also might I add that COMMUNITY hosted servers also have their own mod teams. So unless 2 entirely different groups of people are "compromised" and "friends" with the hackers, then it doesn't really make sense. Also it is pretty well known that some CT staff don't like some people that are heavily accused, such as poi. I'm sure they would jump at the chance to ban if there actually ever was any proof.

This is really funny and "playing dumb".

There have been a many reports about certain players over the last 10 years to TotemArts, everyone knows which players are being talked about here. Some people have invested a lot of time to prove cheating, but got ignored, or were systematically pushed out of the community and DEV team. Only obvious cheaters have been banned. Possibly it is simply because the networking between certain people from the DEV team and these players exists "friends". One could simply assume coverage of these individuals here and concealment of own deeds. But why care about a nearly dead game, as long as there is one full server every day with the unknowing players to slaughter to feel better.

You must be very new to the RenX community to think that I don't see people calling everyone cheaters, aimbotters, hackers whatever. I myself was long accused of such things, undoubtedly I am familiar with the hackusation tendencies of the community. I was specifically referring to things like insta killing buildings. And by recent I meant literally recent, as in the last few days.

I'm not sure what makes people believe that the dev team that has worked hard and for free would let people cheat and destroy their own creation.

Neat, I thought it was a bug. I have had issues with my game crashing, usually late game in skirmishes. My process for downloading the game was somewhat skuffed and I think that is why crashes are so frequent, but that's a conversation for another time. Thank you...

An issue has popped up over the last few months with bots crashing matches, I don't think it's your install.

    Hello!
As this post is fairly old, I wonder if it is still ok to use content from the Renegade X Gameplay
    in Youtube Videos.
Fyi, I created a 3D printed drone based on the Orca Design and am going to present it to
Game-, and engineering Enthusiasts on social media as Youtube, Instagramm, etc.
    Best greetings, Jorg

Well as someone who absolutely despises discord and made a personal pledge to never use it, me joining is completely out of the question. Also doesn't help that I don't have a microphone. :P

Speaking is not required, just being able to listen :)

What are the times for testing? more towards the weekend and when does the process start. I'd apply immediately but unfortunately soon for me a time is coming where I can't be 100% sure to find the time for testing. Too bad this didn't start a couple of month earlier, I could have tested for you almost 24/7 in the last couple of month. :D

    Near pug time on weekends.

    Hey community!

We are happy to announce that we are now opening up applications for individuals to join our testing team!

First, we'd like to explain what our average testing session consists of. Our tests are regularly scheduled sessions that last a few hours. Inside of these tests, our lead testers may designate specific features or aspects to focus on or give more consideration to. As the testing session is drawing to a close, there is a time for discussion and giving feedback. The feedback we receive from our testers is invaluable to creating an amazing game, and we wouldn't be where we are without the help of our testing team.

While we don't have many explicit guidelines on who we are accepting for testers, having Discord and being in voice chat while testing is an absolute essential component of organized testing. As such, joining our Discord server and being on voice chat while testing is a requirement. Alongside Discord, being available for testing times and having sufficient hardware are also important considerations. If your current hardware can run Renegade X, you will be able to play Firestorm.

We are still in alpha. As such, there will need to be a tolerance for bugs and inconveniences while testing. We look forward to your responses and we are so happy to be able to welcome more of the community into our tests.

You can find the application form here.

  8. I haven't been made aware of any recent cheating incidents and I am usually the one that ends up globally banning people. Feel free to .modrequest (global mod request) in-game for any cheating related incidents.

Recently we have taken safeguards to prevent one of the recent cheaters that likes to instakill buildings. Also funny that you think EA cares at all.

    3. Lumen and it's GI

I've seen a few examples and UE5's new lighting-engine personally strikes me as the most impressive feature. I just love good lighting. 🙂 How does lumen behave in practice? Does it feel more natural to work with or is it "just" and enhancment in lighting quality.

A reply from one of our artists on Discord.

    Quote

Lumen makes the artist's life way easier since complex lighting updates in realtime. About quality, It's kind of a trade-off. Baked lighting is still better in some situations where the environment is mostly static (still hurts in the iteration time and memory footprint). Lumen benefits more of dynamic lighting changes in an environment (ex: a room being flooded with sky lighting after a door has been opened). It's downsides is that it can generate visual artifacts/noise if not handled correctly and it's kind of performance intensive.

    Hey there,

I respect your work and your enthusiasm, especially this idea of a queue system. This is a needed system which should be implemented into Renegade X for sure.

Though, I kinda feel like your "Launcher's" queue system is kinda useless. Renegade X takes around 1 whole minute until it is even loaded up. Until then, that free slot is already used by an other player already.

So a queue system via Launcher is useless..

To stand-by "in-game" within the Multiplayer Server List and spam the refresh button there, as well as to hope RenX won't "hard crash" by spamming the refresh button, is a faster and more secure way to join a filled server in where a single slot becomes available. Even then, one might be faster than you. Most chances to enter a filled up server is during a map change of course.

A queue system is needed "in-game", not through the launcher. Except this launcher would "reserve" a slot to create a joining ticket.. This might be an idea "for the Launcher", but I guess, RenX so needs some updated code for it.

As far as I'm aware, the queue system and code for in-game stuff is all completely done by a community member but needs to be implemented by any server.
