I was thinking, just because this mod is remaking Renegade, doesn't mean you just have to remake maps from Renegade... why not make some brand new official mod maps separate from the remakes of the Westwood ones? I mean, you can remake the WW maps, you can remake fan maps, but it would also be nice to see brand new things that aren't being 'remade' from anything in Renegade. B)

    New Website

    Suggestion! Reverse the news update order. At the moment, the latest news is at the end of the list and it has to cycle through the old stuff to get to the new. The new stuff should be put in front of everything else, that way when enough new news has been added, the old news would be removed from the reel.

  15. Well, you should think about it like this: If people are asking when the mod is coming out, then that means that they obviously love what you've done so far and can't wait to play. The more people who ask this, yes the more annoying, but also the more people who find the mod awesome! :lol:
  16. There's no need to insult him... I haven't seen him in the Renegade community before, however I do recognize his name from EA's Command and Conquer message boards.
  17. Also, there have been many (MANY) comments (unprovoked comments) about people saying they were going to buy UT3 JUST to play this mod. (Myself included). Put that on top of the people who have been following the mod and already have UT3, people who play Renegade but don't know about the mod and already have UT3, and people who play UT3 and not Renegade, there are plenty of people who can and will pick up the mod when it is released. It doesn't matter if it is from the Renegade audience or not, just as long as people are playing the mod.

There is absolutely no reason to fear a SBH as GDI because it is safe to assume that a SBH will not open fire on you (unless you are just about to die) because they want to remain hidden to steal your tank. All you have to do is stay in your tank and then that means Nod has a few useless players running around the field aimlessly.
  20. I could agree with this. There were some mods in Renegade, including Renegade Resurrection, that made Ramjets to Shrapnel damage to light vehicles. I would support a server-side option to change this.
  21. You guys keep bringing problems up saying it is going to happen when I have in fact never ran into them in Renegade. I deal with Ramjets all the time, it is not that hard. It is just part of the game. If you change ramjets and make them weaker, then you are upsetting the balance of the game. The point of the mod is to remake Renegade and fine tune some small adjustments. Everything relating to balance, hit/damage ratios, ect should remain the same. If you start editing that stuff then the mod will no longer be a remake of Renegade, just a mod of Renegade on another engine.
  22. The Ramjet is not overpowered, it is an anti-material rifle that does its job fine. If you left Renegade because of this gun, than that is your problem. It was perfectly fine and balanced with it in. In fact I believe it would become more unbalanced WITHOUT it.

  24. Just because there is a rifle with a scope on it doesn't make it a covert sniper rifle. The Ramjet is a jet-propelled anti-material weapon and just because it is good against infantry, doesn't mean its primary purpose is, and is limited to, taking out infantry. The Ramjet is fine and it should stay as it is. The 4 second reload time is good enough to balance it out better.
