  1. A launcher could communicate through IRC to do something similar to this. It'd have to communicate "looking for match", know when 20 people are still actively looking, and then pick an acceptable choice of server, and communicate that server to all their launchers so the launcher internally clicks "join". The point is, baby steps, is to have built in IRC to the right channel, so people know how many people are in the launcher lobby. It'd also be nice if the launcher started closing when the game is launched from it. That way everyone in launcher list is actually at the launcher, and because once the game is running it doesn't need the resources the launcher is consuming.

  3. @Agent is basically the webmaster here. Send a PM with the email and username that the site isn't allowing to register (assuming it's the specific email or username that isn't working). If it is the email that isn't working, why not just create a new email for free at one of various places you can, and use that to register with a different yet similar username?

Speaking of, why the fuck didn't Facebook do Animated GIFs for decades after MySpace did them, and then implemented them as bastardized as possible. They are difficult to import and displayed as flash movies or some bullshit. What dafuq's up with that, you know what I'm saying???

  6. You're right. I'm just going to drink, do stuff these next few weeks at least, and then maybe come back with a smurf name since I hear those are all the rave. Wouldn't be surprised if next few were short attended or cancelled anyway. Holidays. People who organize probably have loved ones, and I have no loved ones but no love for this atm so I'll probably dump my love in political joke videos and possibly some voice-video projects. I even had one for this game I might take a poke at. Looking at the big picture, I'm just not invested enough to be that mad. If worse comes to worse, I'll show up to the PUG, repair shit afk watching Hunter X Hunter or some other anime/cartoons, and not care about the result. They can't ban me for "not playing good enough", or at least they haven't done that with anyone yet. If they did me, then as a scientist and mathematician, I'd find it worthwhile in satisfying my interest knowing that it is possible. It was possible in SMNC when they had organized games, believe it or not, and those never burnt me out where I took a disinterested defensive stance.
  7. ...you mean, you'll have the team captain pick a number between 1-10 to determine who chooses, and whoever decides to choose first, the one who chooses second chooses two in a row. You just suggested this, now that I remind you I suggested it prior, you're dis-interested in it? Still will not be showing up. Will likely be in TS3 and active and still not there, to boot. I don't see a problem with anyone being on the same team, there are like 5 other people you can move to a team. You can at least stick those people, on the stereotypically-generated team-Ryz, you don't need those other good people ON the same team as those aforementioned 2. Technically, I can only hope, with me not showing up, you got to shovel at least somebody else onto that team for now on.

  9. I'm just saying, these PUGs get pretty toxic lately. I literally can't even through the entire damn thing. I leave early every time, which is against the rules by the way. I expect that I was promptly banned the moment after leaving early this 3rd time in a row, but I'll never know, because I am not planning on coming back. I was a pretty big supporter of this when it wasn't organized, and then it got organized, and now like most things, it isn't like it used to be. Nothing I can say will be conveyable, for starters I'm apparently a joke every time I talk, but if I were to say anything to convey it, for 3 weeks now I've attended a Saturday-specifically PUG that just falls apart every single match, but there's "no balance problem", everyone tells me it's just me. Well, it is me. I'm removing that variable from this. Saturday PUGs should be better now. I'd join the Sunday ones, but I haven't the focus to join a Sunday one after attending a Saturday one, for the last 3 weeks now, and quite frankly I'm simply not going to anyway at this point. You have enough people to comfortably populate it each week, I'm honestly not contributing anything but disdain every time I attend at this point, and it's not contributing anything toward me either.

  11. Also, good luck. We have an organized Saturday game through Teamspeak3 chat client, if you figure out the game well enough. Ideally, the game only requires you to stick beside someone and assist them with a good choice of class, whether you're healing them in field, using same unit to do twice the damage, or using an officer to defend them while they walk around. It isn't that hard, just always do what someone else is doing to increase odds of successfully doing something. Easy game, really. Either someone comes up with a plan and you show up en masse to rush the enemy with it, or they don't but you still find someone doing something and help them do that thing, like getting a tank, or keeping tanks alive, or following field infantry to parry in numbers.
  12. You know, the game's code is not meant to do this sort of thing. I wouldn't mind supplementing infantry's lack of armor with emplacements though, sounds better than current APC Airdrop balance. I'd say vehicles could use something similar to supplement infantry being reduced, but that sounds like giving engineers some anti-sniper emplacements, either sniper turrets or simply wall-like barricades to cover from sniper fire. That's all hypothetical, humoring the request, as the code is still not capable of that without a decent amount of programming, which would have to be voluntary at this point.
  13. For X-Mountain AND Whiteout, we couldn't take the hill. Our armor was obliterated by Gunners, which ARE strong against armor, so we could snipe or officer phase them out, except 20 officers can be decimated by the same 2 people while the rest of your team comfortably do gunners. You 2 snipers, plus 10 gunners, phases out any number of tanks and infantry we have. We tried stealth tanks, which is how we lost. We had GREAT repairs on X-Mountain, 3-6 engis on our tanks, which all died within a minute because a single sniper can kill 6 engis along with any anti-sniper resistance, every single minute. 16 bullets a minute, with an accuracy of 50%, is just fucking disgusting, if your team has that and we don't, until repair tanks become a thing that exist, it's just a fucking slaughter. We would have won Whiteout if Ks.ol hadn't left by then. I was on that team, I have no doubt in my mind.
  14. I simply would not believe this, until we play a custom PUG where Snipers cost 10k so we only have tank warfare. I know that defeats the game's balance, but tanks against tanks, we were not doing that bad. Volcano was an early slaughter, Whiteout was entirely possible without snipers, we'd just walk officers to clash against gunners unless you got officers which you'd need in equal volumes. GDI didn't win Whiteout, Poi and his bitches won Whiteout. Nobody can deny that Whiteout was a smother of anti-infantry sniper fire by 2 men, against a team with no counter, while the other 12 teammates just fired at structures and tanks with gunners.
  15. I don't think it adds any bugs that wasn't there. I delved into what the christmas egg was, but could not actually find it in-map. Hmm. Probably best for that way, surprise everyone.
  16. To be fair, an easy way to implement this, is to literally have reverse-donations. As in, have a "request" button, as well as "donate" button. How is that different than asking in "Team Chat", do you ask? Well, we have that obnoxious Menu donate screen. That could be made to make request, to show requests to donors, and to quickly double-click to donate. It already has a list, after all. The list just needs to populate the donation command for you, like it kind of already does, but be given more info. It could also have an option to start auto-donating to requests after 1.2k creds stored.
  17. This sounded suspect to me. Also, midgame, we lost Ks.ol, so we asked to trade Poi for Troupe, both snipers. He said we have enough snipers, and listed me. For reasons that should be obvious, I am not balanced between teams as a "sniper". If I HAVE to snipe on a map because we have too few infantry counters, then you have an UNBALANCED TEAM DIVISION, and possibly still unbalanced sniper classes to boot. Wasn't even that mad. Our team wasn't "bad". We were oppressed by snipers constantly. We still made critical strikes and killed buildings. We would have run Volcano if GDI didn't react fast with roc-oh who am I kidding, a rush met a rush, there was no reaction, their rush just happened to been the textbook counter to ours. If it had been APCs, we'd have drove by them, they'd all suicide frantically to save buildings, and we'd still likely have gotten one, but no, we got unlucky.
  18. That's why it's got to work out of the package. That didn't stop anyone from messing with Field, or the catwalk in Volcano. If it worked non-flying, then it'd be valid as long as it's playable with no bugs.
  19. The Minimap may be inaccurate if the map has changed, I have the old one in uncompressed format, could help depending on how much needs changed. Eyes also could use minimap. Was awaiting those fixes to see if new version requires minimap not based off old verson. The endgamecam was rigged but didn't work due to undiscovered reasons, it existed but never called or hooked or whatever. If you can figure out why, I'm sure Kuja and all of us would appreciate getting to play a decent large and multi-opening map.

To be fair, if his map was added to main game, after 1 version, with suggested feedback supporting it, it could be tweaked by devs anonymously as "developing the game", to add blocking volumes to unintended spots, and add flying back. Plenty of blocking volumes and walls have been tweaked on various maps.
  21. Hmm... since you're so deep into the options, can you open the launcher (you're up to version 5.271 right?) and at the top corner, instead of Launch Game, click Launch Server? This starts Cmd box, which runs a server for you. Now... well, when you open the server, it'll tell you how to connect to it locally. You can either go to server list, then click join-ip, then enter your LOCAL ip, your ip on your router network... or you can go to main menu, press f5, and type in "Open XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX". For me, it's "Open 10.0.0.1". Can you join that? If not, the install's bugged, no clue how but it is. If you can, then there's something not allowing you to establish a connection with a server. You tried every server in the listing? If it were just CT, then I'd suspect CT might have accidentally blocked your IP. If it were all servers, the only way you could be blocked is with a global ban which I believe is obvious if you have one, so you'd have notice it by now and probably don't. So I'm not sure what would prevent you from connecting through internet to a RenX server.
  22. It was originally a Nod-strong map, so ramps without air isn't necessarily a problem. You can mine windows, and Obby shoots at one of the HoN ramps. The problem when you have air, is that a transport heli can pour units in from the various unmined windows in back.
  23. I distinctly remember DaKuja saying something along the lines of "just adding cover to the field and keeping it in". Sounded reasonable, Glasses allows for more openings, but Eyes can be fixed, especially if Glasses is not coming in the next patch.
  24. So this is ready if a new patch wanted to add this? Last time it was tested, open gates were blocking players and closed gates let players walk through, that was patched too? Has working minimap (I know I made one for it), and everything?
  25. Know those tall buildings? Would have preferred those to have Anti-Air turrets on them instead, or respawning rocket pods player-controlled emplacements, to deter air spam. Also, Anti-Air turrets ARE getting a buff next patch, from what I'm told, so might want to consider keeping it flexible to change. Keeping the ramps and the geometry playing nicely with roofs collision, for instance.
