  2. Good idea Testman, however, there's a function in teamspeak which we can also use. If we form squads of 5 people or so and have 1 squadleader of that squad, and have a couple of those squads we'll have less noise in the channel. The overall team commander can talk to all squad leaders using the 'whisper' command (he needs to set that to a hotkey) in teamspeak, then he can say people what to do and listen to the squad leaders By using the whisper command in teamspeak you don't have to be in the same channel to hear eachother. That's how you filter a lot of the noise. But that takes away a bit of the fun I think.. it's really organised.
  3. Here;s my feedback; Overall good map, but I think you really need to add some lights in, it's almost to dark I think. In the tunnel system, these 2 lights supposed to be red I think? one is pink. Crates in the landscape near destroyed WF (theres lots of barrels there in the landscape too) Still need to add the MIC to this The tiberium fields need a light, maybe you can also add the decal in there that shows some cracks? The tiberium supposed to emit light.. at the moment it's not really doing anything. Maybe also add a smoke emitter here, and heat? The bunker there sits on quite a vertical piece of grass.. maybe add some rocks here for the looks? Also, notice the white-ish stuff on the ground there, I don't know where that's coming from, maybe you should check that out. Near the destroyed WF you can get tanks onto the inf path, add vehicle blocking volume here Also notice the landscape, it needs a bit of smoothing here I can get the APC onto the inf path.   4. I think it's just better to only have a couple of screenshots as reference instead of re-filling a mesh (basically) The CNC-Ren gameplay is a lot different from RenX, thats why I'd just not refer to much to the old map.

    SDK update

    Just copy over the packages you've worked in to the new SDK, boot, done. Just make sure you don't delete the 'old' SDK. Check if all your work is present in the new SDK, if it's there and you're happy, then go ahead and get rid of the old one.

    [MAP] CNC-Snow

    There is no documentation on this. You could've find out yourself in the code as you also know the code I've already posted an example on how to do it in kismet, it's probably that some code got changed and therefore the kismet can't reach the proper variable anymore and therefore that it is not working anymore. So what you really wanted to do is open up the .uc files leading to the silo and scan / make an analysis of the code until you find the variable responsible for giving you an X amount of credits per second. I've done this and didn't seem to find anything odd. No code has changed here. So I've opened up your map Henk, and looked at your kismet. This is what you have. I think here's the problem. I've only successfully tested it with a single actor attached to the target. If I am correct, you should also just get away with 1 silo attached to the target, Because both silo's use an internal class (the same internal class) and you change the value in there temporarily. Point is, do not try to attach 2 actors to the target here. I think that confuses the game. Try using this setup: nr. 1: or using this setup: nr. 2: Just not the one you have right now. If setup nr. 1 works (for both silos) I'd stick with that. If it fails, I'd stick to nr. 2.

  11. I agree with yosh56 about the soft level boundary. Also think uphill is to big, can you scale it down to 60-70% of what it is now? The scale feels way off to me in comparison to the scale of the vehicles, the characters and their movement speeds. Tomb performs way better at this I think

  17. Fixed all of these, thanks. I re-added collision to all the rocks in the game. I removed some collisions because I first had blocking volumes that covered these rocks. Now I have a soft level boundary volume and I forgot to put the collision back on when I switched over I do not consider this to be a bug, I did this on purpose. If you're an SBH with a repair tool you can 'rest' here, if you want to go back, you'll get damaged and give away your position whilst getting damaged. Removed 2 doors which should do the trick. Also speed up the opening and closing sequence by 50% I don't know why you got those UDK crashes but I think it has to do something with the sound.. My best bet is that you really were trying hard to screw around with those doors and messed up the kismet sequence. Best I can do here is remove all the sounds but that'll result in a boring door.. I might have to contact RypeL or some other coder that's willing to write me a nice piece of code for this.. Doing the sounds etc. in Kismet is crash sensitive. Mesa II also had this issue in the past. Fixed, also mentioned by Minji but thanks anyway Getting into the arms of the ship should not be possible, they have collision, see: That WF captured thing.. I know, It's a bit of code that needs to be optimized. I can't add the 'name' variable in the code, will need to ask the coders to do this for me. The answer here lies in the following piece of code, the 'capture event' searches for a class that it can display.   21. Thommy, please use the default folder structure of UDK so we can 'merge' folders and overwrite files. Right now you just have all the files in a single folder. This is really annoying when us server managers want to add the map over and over again.
