  5. It happens, but it's been less prevalent since people have so many infantry to work with nowadays. I'm really against nerfing armour any more than it is as well.
  6. Not sure I can get behind any of it. Buggies already are the best at what they do, save for being dominated by Ramjets in late game. They're the highest damage anti infantry units in the game, sans sniper rifles. Adding an EMP to them really wouldn't help much considering Nod already can just spam EMPs pretty safely with LCGs and Ravs, and if you're going to drive a buggy on an ambush mission you're probably better off trying to just use a flaming buggy. EMP mines seem a bit much considering AT mine spam already deters tanks, or at least slows them down enough since they have to deal with them, or run through them. Stopping entire columns with a static object just comes off as another easy punish. EMP grenades at least require a semblance of skill to time right. The commander EMP strike isn't even used primarily to stop tanks so much as de-mine buildings. Timing it isn't the easiest thing in the world...which is why it's as strong as it is. EMP mines would either have to be invincible like proximity mines, which creates an annoying stalemate situation, or destructible...which to be like AT mines would kind of only be fair to also EMP friendly vehicles when destroyed. If they costed money... maybe. Then again if they cost money, they'd be more prominent on the winning team on every stalemate map, since they would have more money to throw away. Also I'm just kind of against nerfing vehicles any more than they are by the player number. Infantry already overpower vehicles to a pretty significant degree in numbers. At best, maybe giving a slight EMP effect to Rav/Sydney's mines might work.. but only like 2 second stun or so.
  7. It was in the commander mod back in the day. Really didn't have much of a reason to be carried over.
  8. I mean... there's also the thought of giving base defences some second functionality that would just stay online even after they have no power. E.G: Let them command spot (in a different colour), which means they can't stop infiltrations, but they still make it harder to infiltrate, as they spot intruders. That, or have them act as a comm centre, but only within the confines of the base, though they make enemies in the base visible on both the mini and overview map. ...... That sounds awful. The respawn timer is already frustrating enough, and the lack of a cost increase puts the powerplant back at being one of the most pointless buildings to kill in non-base defense maps.
  9. Significantly less to do with commander bluffs. More to do with it being harder for tanks to get through 32 people.
  10. The LCG is literally the most cost-effective infantry in the entire game.... It can kill anything, survive just about anything, and is cheaper than about half of the alternatives. It's about the only unit that can walk away from getting hit by 6 MRLS rockets.. Snipers hard countering them...really isnt a problem at all. Just manage your lines of sight.

  14. Certain it's using the correct GPU? Also, you're not SLIinganything, right? I also think it was mentioned that AMD chips with Nvidia gfx cards are the bane of UE3. Need to verify that statement though.

  16. It's not necessarily online dependent. It's whenever there are dramatic differences in FPS namely. Like 5+ FPS drops/gains. Even at a stable 20fps it's usually not jittery, but aif your flopping between 50-60fps it'll show up.
  17. Other... for people PMing constantly in game about things that you're more likely to get answered on the forums. Believe it or not...when I'm playing the game...I'm playing the game. If I wanted to be in an interactive chat room, I'd play OldRen.
  18. That technical with just a MG would actually be quite nice to have around in crates.
  19. Can't speak or the rest, but I personally know Waqas (Havoc89) just made the wolverine for fun in his free time. He also made a Hover MRLS but I dont think it's on his art station. Edit: The HMLRS was lost in a hard drive crash years ago apparently.

  21. I kind of think 'Building Needs Repair' should be left alone. It's spammed, and it's 4 syllables 'Hand of Nod Needs Repair' sounds kind of weird, and tacks on 2 syllables. Other radio commands I like though.
  22. Because Ren combat is far from realistic. Weighted weapons would both feel vastly out of place, and nerfed snipers harder than they already have been, which people fail to realize is A LOT.
  23. Stand like ... 20ft away and the spread means they only have like a 1/100 chance of accidentally hitting you. People always get way too close and just help nullify their own advantage.
  24. For anyone who consistently gets the sound bug on map change using the 64-bit client, post your system specifications (including whether you use USB/3.5mm, headset, or speakers). I personally don't ever have the issue
