To clarify.... the WF back door had so many mines on purpose just due to how I mined it. If you saw every building, you'd see some were intentionally short some mines as it's unlikely anyone was ever going to go in there. 3 mines per door is just PUB 'standard'. The only reason it jumped to like 9 mines in that door is cuz we just dumped the mines for the dead Refinery in that door...since using that door is Crab's only strategy on that map.

Just to clarify, does the launcher not open, or does the game not launch when you try to join a server/launch the game?
-
Have you tried 'Reset Game' in the Launcher > Settings menu? Alternatively, I have to ask if you've restarted your computer, as that seems to fix more issues than I'd like to admit. Start with those, and we can move on from there.
-
So far people have been fixing that just by restarting their computers.

1) Walls 2) Field 3) Outposts 4) Islands 5) Tomb

That's actually been a thing since like beta 1. Just always gets overlooked

When it's installing the launcher initially [the .msi you download from the site] you should be able to specify where it goes. You can also move the Renegade X folder wherever you'd like if it's already installed.

Trying to join a server or lanuch the game, nothing happens.

Check that your antivirus, or Windows Smartscreen isn't blocking it. That's what it sounds like if it's showing up only briefly. -
There's a sample in Blinded inspired by an Avenged Sevenfold song. Known 'issue'... even though it's only a piece of the song and not the actual song. I'd just... turn Blinded off on the jukebox if you're recording.

Either at it while running it through command prompt, or just do what you said, yeah.

We've had some people get better performance by running the 64bit binary directly, and tacking on -USEALLAVAILABLECORES as a switch The binary is located in Renegade X\Binaries\win64\udk.exe

Cannot cast commander abilities when binding Q key

Or you can just... Reset Game... which takes about 10 seconds. Or delete UDKSystemSettings.ini -

At the moment it is attached to 'spotting'. In a later update (probably not the next one) we'll make it properly customizable. Wasn't aware of the French keyboard design. -
Survived them fine. Those were also not publicly moderated servers that had rules in place already that said specifically not to do that. Nice try though. Topic locked, since moderation already occurred.

Guy has already been banned. If someone's only goal is to yell obscenities in chat, AND spam surveys/kick-votes, then that is a completely legitimate reason to involve moderation. EDIT: He also took to trying to impersonate Cronic just after he left.

Could be Windows Smart screen. You can also try checking your anti-virus to make sure it didn't just stop it from running. To check if it's just Windows being weird, you can open up CMD as an administrator, and run the launcher install msi that way. The command would look something like msiexec /i "PathToDotMSIFile" Key here is just running it as an admin, as I've had to do that for msi installers on multiple occasions.

You don't need OldRen to play APB.. it's standalone

There's supposed to be a damage camera shake.....that sometimes just gets cut when everything is built and compiled. Will ensure it's back in the next update, as it's been driving me crazy

Known bug. Will be fixed in a coming patch this month

Connecting to servers just gives a box that is "Not Responding"
yosh56 replied to KentMansley's topic in Technical Support
@CronicxEMD Please post the Launch.log file found in Renegade X\UDKGame\Logs. Also, have you tried hitting 'reset game's under Settings in the launcher? Were you prompted to install the UE3 Redistributable during installation? -
Just picking out a few points: EMP grenades are there to keep the game from becoming world of tanks. They reduce repairs by a fairly large margin, though they require your team to pay attention and focus fire. Defender advantage is actually hard-countered by veterancy, as the offensive actions reward more VP than defensive actions. In most practical situations, this leads to the aggressive team being able to reach Elite/Heroic ranks, scaling their damage to levels that are nigh impossible to out repair. The general match time that was being developed for was about 30-45 minutes, with maps like Under or Field being closer to an hour to an hour and half. Gameplay wise the more stalemate maps just allow veterancy to do its thing. Every weapon is basically 'broken' at Heroic, and that's by design. It's not perfect by any means, and some people aren't down with the grind to heroic, but I at least find it fun. Not actually a fan of <20m games, but also can happily say veterancy keeps RenX from having too many 2+ hour matches, which is too much for even me.

You wouldn't have needed to uninstall Steam (unless you were just trying the things in that topic). Every solution to that error is talking about deleting folders in Documents/My Games, though Renegade X doesn't hold anything there (you can check that folder though) Try running the game, letting it crash, then check the Application portion of the Windows Event Viewer. (If you're on Windows 10 you can just search for 'Event Viewer')
