Commander Suggestions

So as soon  i entered a game i was made a commander and boy it was hard . Press CTRL C  and some key

.Isnt their an easy way to become a commander like shortcut keys .Furthermore can you make it easier to be a commander . i mean the targeting needs to be a point instead of the whole circle thing. Instead of giving generic order like attack and defend its should only use Q as its much easier. for specific things . Harvester way points should be removed as it can be used to block access or feed the other team. When you press Stop it returns to the refinery and does nothing.

Spy plane should be global instead of beacon identifier. and its cost should be increased as its reset timer this way commander will only use them for time critical decisions .

any person who becomes a commander gives his team mates in his vicinity health regen or faster veterancy than normal. Commander kills also generate higher than normal kill credits. instead of using the menu the commander can use Q to remove mines . in order to protect commander can give his authority to some senior player .in my case i was new to the commander thing .

Commander can appoint 2 advisors 1 for offensive rush and the second for defensive rush this way  commander can focus on doing other things like making sure  people mine properly.

if someone abuses commander powers that person should be named noob for 3 days

 

Also for when the server is full we should have some spectator slots. this way people who have youtube accounts can use to create highlights of the matches if possible

So...  A few things to point out

1. Radius makes it easier to know if a certain support power reaches the radius.  Granted it makes little sense for scout plane to have it. 

2. Scout plane is actually usable as a way to accumulate commander power. I think at one point it's actually recommended to spam it whenever possible and necessary to ease your spottings. (as you know,  killing enemy targets grant commander points)

In some ways the commander becomes a target of value for the enemy.    Maybe some way to compensate for that is appropriate.

This is getting off-topic but that'd be a great way to spot certain cheaters.

I like some of your points (these):

I would support the commander having a bonus rallying effect like some additional armour and health regeneration ability within a certain radius. It would need to be fine tuned so it didn't become over powered or abused and likely change radius depending on whether in tank or as infantry character.

It would be nice if the spy plane would just sweep over the whole map by default and pick up everything on the surface level for a period of time. I also support something like a spy satellite or spy drone that gives the commander a moving video feed of what the battlefield actually looks like so they can choose and plan what to do better instead of just relying on seeing red dots.

I've supported commander power delegation in the past based on having at least one other senior person who has access to abilities. Like a team commander and then a captain for example.

I enjoying watching other game commentaries, it would be nice if there's an easy way to record from an observer mode and explore what's happening on the map, like player tracking and rotating the camera angle etc.

I always support the Q function having more contextual awareness - maybe a commander could use it to mark a target building for an assault or team repairs more visibly with an outline.

 

Small additional things

I want to be able to see where the commander is on the M map by way of a different shape or colour and if they could become small triangles showing the way players are facing I think might also be useful.

If commander calls in something like a cruise missile, I'd really like to see some time meta countdown display on the spot its placed/called on so I can see how many seconds it's going to be before it lands so things can be timed better.

I don't think commander should have much to do with mines and harvesters as these are distractions to the role that could be being delegated if there were an expanded set of roles one could assign to someone. A physical E interaction switch on the refinery itself for stop/start and first player to successfully lay 3 mines gets extra mine management tools to remove mines using a context button like Q instead of having to faff around in a menu.

should the specialist units be dropping their weapons instead of armon for eg if i kill sbh  i should be getting his gun this way it will bring value of killing specialist clases. furthermore Mobius should have a side weapon or even a healing gun i mean he is a doctor . u think commander points should be properly utilized for upgrade like 3000 for one upgrade in case of nod all vehicle are upgrade to lasers or for GDI get access to rail gun tech.

GDI can deploy a sensor array power whereas NOD gets heat eminating power which can show units

I'll say this: SBH Sniper doesn't exist in this game for a reason.

Imagine some unfair Players spotting everything what the Enemy Team is doing ...

the plan is for developed and mods to use spec slots not us if that's the issue . this way we can clear the issue before it get worse. so what do those people of call of duty do if this was the case . Spectator access help new players to watch season vets play the game the way its meant to be played . and remember its a game
