  2. So you walk eternally through the shadow realms, standing against evil where all others falter. May your thirst for retribution never quench, may the blood on your sword never dry, and may we see you again.
  3. Why couldn't this have just been an April Fool's joke. We are truly in the darkest timeline.
  4. There was also that other Emperor: Battle for Dune game in a 3d engine, but that game just felt like a fever dream to me
  5. Which one would you choose and why? This remaster will have updated modern graphics, better balancing and AI to play better, and a completely remastered soundtrack by the original creator (likely our God Emperor Klepacki). All of these newly added features can be toggled on/off to your will so if you want you can play the game completely like the original. Basically a perfect remaster and no EA fuckery. I choose Dune 2000 because that's the game that got me into RTS stuff as a kid and plays like no other game Westwood ever made. Also giant fucking sandworms. For the baron
  6. Unpopular opinion here but I've always thought Tiberium Sun had some of Klepacki's weakest tracks in all of the series. Don't get me wrong they all sound good, but when compared to his other works within the series a lot of Tib sun sounds generic. This is a good chance to reimagine some of the tracks and make it oriented towards Firestorm's atmosphere. Just don't be afraid to mix things up a little instead of sticking to Klepacki's style like it was the law or something. Also do Dusk Hour or 1000 years of suffering to your families Also the soundtracks thus far have been fantastic!
  7. Wake the fuck up Renegade, we got a community to burn.
  8. BEGIN THE WITCH HUNT! BURN THE HERETIC!
  9. I mean good lord, he has been here for over a year from what I can recall. If you don't know, the player Optiplex is a recurring person who puts an afk player on another team to benefit himself and his team. He is either using the player name of Optiplex (and probably many other names) for spying on the enemy team and their plans, or to make it so that the enemy team has one less player (both of which are shitty and go against the spirit of the game). I have bitched about this a year ago to multiple developers and they say they know who the ip address belongs to so why haven't they banned the cheater? I mean unless this is a developer making an alt account for testing I see no other excuse for not deleting this person. Proof? Any match you find him in he is afk. I have seen him hide the account at barren and non-traveled parts of the map so that no one can see him be afk. I have seen him in many games over the years always afk. I have called him out for being a cheater who is spying and right before the vote kick goes through he leaves the game to probably join by another player name or a little while later to avoid detection. A year ago whenever I would command teams the enemy would always seem to know what we were doing. It got to the point that I would quit commanding just because no one would kick the obvious spy on our team. I finally saw him again tonight on 1/17/21 about 9:00 pm EST on a field match (official EU renx server) and he was doing his normal thing. Ban him What's the deal devs, or anyone who can shine light on this player? Sure I and many other players have done some stupid stuff with glitches and map exploits before but this type of cheating completely ruins the fun for everyone if a player is aware of the enemy team's intentions. Banning this type of cheating just seems like common sense.
  10. The engineers making the vehicles and dropping them off are doing so on a pot-infused rampage. You cannot stop them.

Renegade X - The Bad Ending

You people keep enabling EA! How could you do this!

Renegade X - The Bad Ending

It takes 120 God damned hours to unlock Havoc normally
  13. I've been in moments of this game where 40 players are the max on a server, usually resulting from a recent update. It is the most depressing and sad experience I have ever had with a game as each round starts with like 30 players instead of the usual 50ish or so. So lonely...

Truly captures the essence of this game. All buildings but the bar gone for gdi with about 6 vehicles stuck in the base doomed to wander aimlessly bored out of their minds until they inevitably die from some nod rush. Good thing we got Firestorm coming.
  15. Take your time guys Or else…..
  16. PC controls are good enough, but I use an xbox wireless controller and it is fantastic. Tons of people also buy a HOTUS for this game, but it is whatever floats your boat. Learning the flight controls is a whole ordeal when starting out, and no once can do it at all. But stick with it commander, and eventually you will be piloting a ship literally half the size of a US aircraft carrier burning everyone and everything in your path
  17. I can't remember a single tip from the loading screens and I've played for years. Perhaps the information is so basic that it helps no one except the noobiest of noobs. Like, "the mct does more damage to buildings, therefore they make the best area of attack if terrorism is your hobby in real life." Not too helpful for normal players or pros. Maybe you could have a "tell me something" button that you press and it gives you a detailed tip about the game that is not common while being in-game. Like, "commander defensive buffs remove the ability of the enemy to EMP friendly vehicles" or "chem troopers sweet succulent squirts go through multiple enemies, making this weapon the best crowd control option for very close quarters". I bet if you threw it out there the forums could provide you with hundreds of obscure tips that could be used to help everyone, and not just people that have never played a shooter before.
  18. Do you like S P A C E? Come get Elite Dangerous. Now free on Epic Games store with all the dlc until November 26. I've been playing this game for 3 years and it is awesome. A "realistic" Space simulator is a better way to describe it rather than a game. I know most people in this community are older than the typical age that games are marketed at and Elite Dangerous is definitely a mature experience. That is why I think this game will appeal to members of this community. It is a bit tedious when first starting out with this game, and you probably won't even be able to properly pilot your ship correctly; But if you stick with it and learn the ropes this game will blow your tiberium infected minds. I implore you to watch the short video below to make up your mind fully. This game is awesome and has: Multiplayer (can choose single player if you want as well whenever you log in), in-depth combat, trading, exploration, mining, in-depth piloting, crazy visuals, realistic mechanics, a grounded and believable universe, a constantly evolving story, planetary landings, Short range vehicle exploration and combat, and coming soon, the game will have first person mechanics for exploration and combat. Also it is the coolest VR experience you can have besides HL:Alyx if you have a headset. If you are remotely interested, I'd pick it up while it's free. You may find it to be awesome. And if you don't, it didn't cost any money anyways.
  19. I love war books. First person recounts of soldiers and the horrific stuff they went through brings a whole new perspective to life. I don't read these books just to hear about awful things, it is just interesting to hear the truth and how people ended up coping with situations that are worse than death. Vietnam books are especially a good read because the American soldiers are faced with the odds stacked heavily against them (which you learn comes almost entirely from the US military structure, bureaucracy, and especially politics). One book I can't recall the name of had navy seals about to strike a compound where the highest ranking commanders of the VC were, but ultimately were forced to cancel the mission hours before the strike because the command structure decided to continue the truce of the Lunar new year. Then the Tet offensive happened and it was a downhill ride from there. From reading these books it can be said that the war could have been won if the command structure was ran by more competent leaders, politics was absent from decisions, and America had a stronger desire to actually go on the offensive. But I am getting on a tangent. I implore you to check out these two books as they are crazily badass and a great read if you want to check out the Vietnam era: Line Doggy Very easy read (grammatically, NOT IN PLOT) First person recount of the men that were dropped off by chinooks in enemy territory and the horrible things they went through. Great place to start for the Vietnam era. Aeroscouts First person account of the scout chopper pilots in Vietnam. Scout choppers would be sent to seek out Charlie platoons. The pilots job was to literally be shot at so that they can radio for the cavalry (cobras and huey convoys) to rain Hell down on the enemies location. This kind of work makes the author completely numb to the thought of death as he is shot down multiple times and forced to evade VC ground patrols on several occasions. 20. I come with a different point of view. It's funny when people are robbed of a game they played for 2 hours only to not get a conclusion. The surrender and map change votes should have a font size that is smaller and the vote should not make any sounds. Some people just want to watch the world burn
  21. If I could vote any maps it would be Field, Under, Walls, Island, and Oasis. But seeing as how those are the alma-mater for RenegadeX I understand that we will never be rid of them. I just don't tend to have fun on them anymore and usually end up doing something stupid until a better map is chosen or leave. Nexus's maps are fun and I've never understood the reason they are not voted for a good bit of the time. They fit the newer version of Renegade X's gameplay and can support 64 people. Don't you dare remove Daybreak or I'll find a way to release the plague onto this forum. It just needs a little bit of work to make it great. I have no idea what playing Storm is like because I'm usually to busy spamming the Easter egg. Lakeside, Reservoir, and Goldrush are well balanced and fun. I love Crash Site despite chem troopers ruining any resemblance of balance. Everything other map I forgot and can't really give an opinion or have nothing nice to say about it.
