The old launcher did not have a proper license attributed to the project. Some developers that contributed to it in the past no longer wanted their work in it and it was easier to recreate a new one than fix every piece of the last launcher.

New versions of the launcher will better guide this part of installation along with useful error messages, but it is still being tested. For now just make sure you are selecting an empty folder that does not require admin rights (like program files 86). It should install fine after that point

New launcher does not remember my preference. Request for:

Should be added in next update once we resolve the big issue of launcher not loading up entirely for some people. -
There is no virus, it's a false positive.

Make sure you set the game directory in the settings button and that you're running it as admin, opening with no progress is indicative of no install directory or no permissions

DM me with your IP and I can unblock you

Launcher download link Effective immediately, our new Totem Arts Launcher will replace the existing launcher for Renegade X. Our new launcher features multi-game support (Firestorm will be installed via the same launcher when it releases), a more flexible update system and more stability. The new launcher installs separately from the game. After you install the launcher, you will have to select the Renegade X that the game is installed into for it to know where to look for the files. This can be done in the Renegade X tab with the Settings button. If your game is running in a privileged directory such as Program Files x86, the launcher will have to be run as admin to update unless the permissions for the game directory are manually updated. In the future this will be accounted for and the launcher will prompt for permission updates. The visuals/UI side of the launcher will be upgraded and updated progressively, the current visuals are temporary. A known issue is that it may appear the download/verification stages are stuck since they don't show a more fine-tuned percentage. If there is network activity/CPU activity it is advised to let it continue. If it is stuck, you can simply restart the launcher and it will resume at it's last position. If you have any other outstanding issues please reach out and let us know. You can make a thread here or get in contact via Discord.

Does anyone Know A Boolean Name For Mouse Positioning would be
NodSaibot replied to John50's topic in Renegade X
A boolean equates to true or false. Are you trying to see if the player is looking at a specific actor on the map? Or make them look a specific direction? -
Please send me a DM with your IPv4 so I can remove you from the block list. Our anti-ddos stuff accidentally blocks real players occasionally.

If the joining process starts, it is most likely compiling shaders. If the front end menu (Skirmish/Multiplayer/Settings/Extras) with the hovercraft is still open, it is a firewall/port issue on our side. It is possible that you were erroneously blocked.

Glad to hear it

Make sure you have enough disk space. If that doesn't work, you can try our new launcher. https://launcher.totemarts.services/Totem-Arts-Launcher.exe Once this is installed, go to the Renegade X tab and select your current install. Then verify again.

Try running launcher as admin, open settings tab then press verify game integrity.
-
Try installing this. If that doesn't work, the launcher is probably not downloading all files correctly.

There is only Open Beta version, there is no "release" version currently. Show screenshots of what you're seeing please.

Patches are automatically downloaded through the launcher

Not sure why you talking to Suspiria like he is a dev

"Welcome Back, Commander!" Winter makes it's way back into Renegade X with Patch 5.68.445 along with fixes to several large ticket bugs.

Not sure exactly how the Steam detection works on a platform like that, but it just puts the number for how many users have connected, starting at 256.

I do agree that documentation is outdated. The Electron launcher is in a working state, we use it for the Firestorm alpha internally at the moment. Once we get some finishing touches sorted like auto updating, we will be releasing it. It is a high priority for us.

Unfortunately the Rust launcher, isn't really being updated anymore, however it is still semi-usable but does have some issues as you said. We are working on another launcher that is built on Electron. Thanks very much for updating WineHQ!
