Scorp spamming will prob still be done, but atleast it will be somewhat stoppable now.....thats until they get the laser upgrade which isn't nurfed Flame tanks should be better now though, they were only good for clearing buildings before...I'll be spamming those..haha I hope so bob!, but more then likely, it won't.

    I like it.... by news feed we are doing it via RSS from the news forum...i have it installed on the forums right now. all you have to do is have it display the RSS feed with the content displayed (it will only show the 1st post) I may be contacting you shortly!
  5. I'll have to fix that problem with islands_koth d-load...most likely ouir mod wont be internally tested until winter of 07/08....seeing the game wont be set to released until fall/winter

Looks allright, you got most of the height/width to seem close enough...I'd like to see you dwell into some SM's and use the cut tool to bring in the tunnels, which can be brushwork covered by SM's where you cut into the terrain. as for crystals, we do plan on using deco layers to make them appear and also disappear thru scripting of the harvester....they will have no collision, which is fine. it's a good start.
  8. Just keep learning, and when and if you pick up UT3, work on some terrain maps. you dont really need to know brush work, but it comes in handy.
  9. Sounds good, just get into some level designing once UT3 is available and you get your hands on the latest Ued. You'll most likely be working with the terrain editor alot....show some of your work to us at that time, and we can talk about some levels for our mod.

    We are preparing the new website and are making it so thumbnails load only the small res of the image.You'll notice thumbnails in the news section and while the other images aren't clickable, we are working on that now. So if you'd like to see the hi-res image, right click and view image will show the hi-res version. This should be fixed shortly, along with our new Homepage!
  11. That could be 3 different objects, just slapped together...if thats the case i dont think he has really extruded, or gone in depth yet. He could of just scaled the pink box's top poly or bottom Mick's giving you good advice, get into extruding, and moulding your mesh by its verts, in any axis. Being a terrain artist I mould alot, its almost like a big block of clay where i can shape it anyway i want.

    Nice work, do you have any example of texture work in PS? models are nice, we need big help on the texturing end though.. Either way im sure theres a few things you could help out with modeling still. Theres a sticky post on what we have done, hasn't been updated in awhile, ask about anything you'd like to do.
  13. I say go for it...Just a few questions though Are we going to run fanmaps? Can we possibly up the player count? Is there a max bandwith per month? what bots are we going to use and can we force RG or the other anti-cheats?
  14. i only look at player count, if our server has 20-28 players then we are all set. If its empty and at the top it doesnt make a difference to me. I only play fanmaps anyways, hopefully we have them too.

  18. did you guys see the scrolling billboard that had the renegade dead 6 characters? I'd love to see the blooper reel, im almost positive you should be able to get the MP maps somewhere?? About the skins, i dont really need em. I enjoy the game, well worth the C&C name unlike generals.

  20. just played thru the 1st 2 act's and im on the 3rd with GDI, Im going to start the nod campaign and then head into some MP games. I picked mine up at circuit city for 40$ Who else has it and what do you think of it so far? Im willing to play a few games online, although Im not too good at RTS's, Im alot better at FPS's.

  24. I was at target yesterday and seen a demo of C&C 3 with a 5$ coupon off the full game....does anyone know how this coupon works? I allready have the demo, but for 1$ I'd buy it just for the 5 bucks off when it comes out. Im betting its some rebate junk tho...But thats why i figured i'd ask

Servers will be able to do alot more with our mod then they have with SSAOW, From gametypes to vehicle/mine limit to limiting characters per team...anything that we can control can most likely be set by an admin. 2. UT3 is coded in C++ (90% sure), another part is kismet scripting, but you wont need to learn that at all, a server.cfg file should have everything you want to change in it...also at server runtime, we should included a vote/admin GUI similar to "mani's mod" for CSS 3.Well, as far as textures, we dont plan on adding anything special in that area that doesnt allready ship with UT3, if UT3 has a server side decal placement, then we could use their option for our mod. 4. I dont understand, symbol/objects?..what are you referring to? We may need your help, at this time I'll go thru our current coders and see what needs to be done, I'll need some example of your work, you can PM me with links to your work if you'd like.
