  3. either way, the post used incorrect terms and that site seemed to only have two storys, 1 about the easter egg in CnC 3 and this one...and some other hoopla about a secret in CnC3 or something. That site is far from reliable, but we can all dream/hope

I think EA knows what the C&C fans want now, After playing the beta of Tiberium Wars, It had a good feel of the old C&C games but with a nice new feel to it that didnt go in the "generals" direction. Would be interesting to see if they start paying our mod some attention. Crysis engine looks beautiful, but is very next gen, It features DX10 which only a couple of video cards have been set for retail sales... Also, vista will need to be your OS for use of DX10 games. I built a laptop back about 4 months back witha 7900gs and a free upgrade to vista, i'd allready have to rip that card out to play a DX10 game, and i still havent installed vista due to its comapatabilty problems with certain applications, 3dsmax for one. EDIT Back to reality.... Well this does seem like a hoax... crysis is the games name http://www.electronicarts.co.uk/productsview.aspx?id=8456 Cryengine 2 is the actual engine name. http://www.crytek.com/technology/index.php?sx=eng2 that source website has only been running for less then a week, since it's first news post...so bogus Seems like EA is just distributing it, the game is developed by Crytek.

  6. http://unwheel.beyondunreal.com/ You need to check this out....Racing in ut04 was very very smooth, a few getting stuck places (like in renegade), but i really think it was a map designers error...something that could of been prevented. Ton's of game modes! , but no one on the servers (well it was early in the am) This is a well done mod, many, many maps and they are quality! Give it a try, maybe we can set a date and time and join one of the servers running this mod. I think this shows that alot of things can be modded within unreal's engine and vehicles can be tweaked as easily as in the w3d engine.

Just played this mod, it rips alot of stuff from renegade, and that commander mode was probably the nicest feature, seems they have a good coder, but no mappers,modelers,texture artist's....I think 1 coder does what he can to get it going and a few people contribute. Would be nice to contact him about us in a formal matter.
  8. As Fobby says we have something like this in our head, but actually, it is written down a few places aswell. So this is an option, in the future of our project.

  15. Hi Im not quite sure what you mean by "make a wip" You may post up a news item on your site about our project... as for wip, you can use a item from the wip section or we prefer the APC action picture thats textured in the news forum.
  16. CnC-files os cool...just make sure you post it as a fan, and not a member of the team. We will be sending out an official notice once we get further into development.
  17. well, To go further into detail, the hud will include enhancements such as a better radar system where you can see where on the map teammates are. Perhaps on the radar we can also add in things like where an enemy has been spotted, of course this will be a server variable...so servers can run the vanilla mod which stays true to the original Renegade. Also things like score can be used in a tab...this way it frees up some space, and is more commonly used in current games. Fobby meant to say we have a FAQ (not Q&A) page pinned up top, you can post questions there.

    how far along are ya? we'll have a mod for the little one to play, you know either boy or girl he or she will be playing Renegade, along with mom and daddy. Tell dogg to come sign up...you know he's going to play this mod when it arrives.
  20. Well nothing like going off-topic guys I appreciate you stopping by.. we are in the infancy stages of our project and really have only posted about the forums in a few places. We'd prefer to work with a small community until we get our project into a stage where we can show off more then WIP...Im currently getting some models into the game via the roboblitz editor. I'll be talking with you more about the project soon. Once again, Thanks for stopping by...Sorry for the nagging posts above me on the old w3d eninge...we are here after all to bring C&C into the FPS universe via a new and improve engine...In hope EA realizes what a real gem they have here with C&C as a FPS...as we all know C&C is king of the RTS and its time to expand into other genres!!
  21. yea, as Jeep says, we want to stay low key until we have more work done... But its ok riku...I'll post there with some info on the project. Sites like moddb, planetspy, and other big modding community's will get an official announcement as soon as we have alot of things done and ingame. We dont need the hype and outsiders as of yet....they bring alot of the "whens the mod coming out, is there a release date?" type stuff...plus we dont have much to show other then some early WIP. I suppose we should post more on how we are doing things, public sort of rushed in after a few postings at small community's...I'll start on some more informative posts for the public to know a bit more on how we plan on handling things.

  24. wouldnt be a good idea, unless EA thought it was ok. We know about that for sometime, but choose not to enter it due to legal issues...but that may change if EA feels different about it. Also with so many members, some which have done alot, some who really havent done anything...dividing the money up if we *were* to win, couldn't be justified equally.
