  2. ^ Thats cause in the grand scheme it was, EA didnt sell all that much. But thats the outlook for so many people, people go with whats popular. It's just a shame they didn't realize how good it actually is. I bet the author never even played renegade.
  3. We are looking for new concept art based on Renegade's original levels, this is intended to give the old maps a new theme or improved look. We don't want new layout ideas, just a new overall theme and look for each of Renegade's stock maps. You may use real world photography in conjunction with a detailed drawing. Choose any way to show off how you'd imagine a classic renegade level would look like in the next gen. The winner(s) will have his/her art created in 3d for our mod. For example: C&C_City_Flying with a run down set of apartment buildings, with alleys instead of tunnels, but the gameplay and layout of the map stays the same. The maps below are available...   4. From what Ive read its a single player co-op game, no mention of MP. This is marketed towards consoles, will be nothing like renegade. You can all quote me on that.

  16. We are unsure until we see whats possible..whatever is better for the mod we will do. Could go either way.
  17. thats the PhysX engine, try googling and getting the latest version of : Ageia physX engine It's in my Start menu applications and i can update from there. Also, theres been some reports of ATI problems... Did you try a d-load from our mirror? thats where i got mine, installer is fine. Don't use d-load accelerators too, that can screw it up.
  18. I think it will be the same as 04 with packages the server and client both run. Also, people can get the whole mod just by joining a server running our mod.

    C:\Documents and Settings\user\My Documents\My Games\Unreal Tournament 3 Demo\UTGame\config open up UTengine.ini under [systemSettings] you'll find all of these DynamicLights=True (you might want to set to false) MotionBlur=False DepthOfField=False Bloom=True (another one u might want to change, mine only gains 1 FPS at most) Trilinear=True(another one i opnly gained a small amount, but could prove to be a bigger gain for you) AllowD3D10=False This is a big boost, but makes things alot less detailed, Try something between 75-100 % on the screen precentage....I could 100's FPS with 75% it renders everything at a low quality^ either set it in the game menu or in the .ini ScreenPercentage=100.000000 Didnt explain all of those but if you don't know ask. one more in that same file to reduce stuttering, although it doesnt do anything on my 7900, but its suppose to be for 6 and 7 series nvidia cards is... [Engine.ISVHacks] UseMinimalNVIDIADriverShaderOptimization=True, set to false to help loading of shaders during shooting a weapon for the 1st time you fire it upon load of a map.... once again I see no difference on my 7900 with this set to false. I hope you can get it started again...these may help. Post ur specs, that might help troubleshoot it.

  21. The artillery is amazing, with the camera above everything, I had a ton of kills last night just protecting the flag.

Jeep, 750mb's demo, you can bet any amount of money that all the textures are half the size atleast, and compressed like hell. and Im sure AA and AF will be included if not you can set it on in the nvidia CP...which I have for renegade allready, and no I dont use the scripts crap that jonwil turned on the AA setting.

    Update drivers and talk to me on MSN, I have some tweaks in your .ini and you should have 25-35 FPS avg. Im pulling in 60 avg. now with disabling there motion blur (which makes it hard to see anyways) and bloom, some dx10 setting, and a few other things. I still have textures on 5 (highest), so it still looks awesome.
  24. World detail kills my FPS, with max settings on both I get 15-30ish. Ive been under 15 and over 30, but it's rare. Lowering World detail helps alot 30-50, while lowering Texture detail just looks horrible, and I get no increase. So 5 for texture and 3 for world is a nice mix. Havoc, I'd try turning up texture but leaving world low...looks good and your GFX card should be able to load the textures with minimal impact. I was expecting 40-60, I hope they optimize it a bit more. The 3 demo maps all remind me of Gears of war...Kinda gloomy.
