  1. Just send officers into the tunnels to clear out snipers. Same can be done on any map. They are relatively cheap and have alot of firepower. Not that Daybreak really has tunnels... more of a giant cave... but whatever.

    Who or what is the single biggest enemy to both GDI and Nod?
  8. In the original game there was only one support type. Engineers and Hotwire / technician as there is now in RenX. I agree that having a medic class would be interesting and indeed in other C&C games (RTS) there were infact medic class units that healed other infantry. Vehicle repairs were usually only done at a specific building (repair pad). But I don't think that is a good idea to add those restrictions in RenX. it would change the gameplay too dramatically and upset a lot of people (as we see from the above comment).

  11. Roweboat for president? F1 = Yes Alt+F4 = No Seriously though I sometimes use polls to convey important info when I'm not commander. EG the location and type of units of an enemy rushh. eg "STANKS INC REF!!" Text these days is appearing in every corner of the screen, all different notifications. It can be hard to keep treack of everything so using a pop up top centre of screen can be critical.
  12. I feel that "buying back" a building is kinda cheaty and undermines the point of the game, to stop your buildings dying in the first place. Repair of "perma damage" is probably going to be contentious enough.

  15. https://cnc.fandom.com/wiki/Emergency_Repair They had something similar in C&C Generals, worked quite well. It could just be a passive healing buff over time which could be used if all the team's repairs (hottys / techs) are killed. It had a coldown on it though.
  16. The gum shoe crate is bloody annoying lol. Radar sweep is a nice idea. But I feel that too many "bad" crates will put people off picking them up. So maybe hold off the airstrike diea for now.
  17. as I recall in other games, anti air vehicles can also be effective against infantry and light armour. Anti air could also be used as an effective way to shoot down cruise missiles etc. Just depends on how you want them to balance out.
  18. Is there not a mute command so people can't use the chat? I remember in the originnal C&C Renegade when player numbers started to plumet that was often used as an alternative.
  19. Yeah I think there are some good points and bad points... the distorted terrain is a pain to get around in a Titan...

  22. Yep there are Survival servers in the normal server list. Everyone gets put on GDI and you have to defend against waves of Nod attackers. Is receiving generally positive feedback as far as I have seen in game.
  23. I feel the MRLS' advantage is at range. Close up it will fail against an arty, an sbh, even a flame trooper unless you can splash damage it or run it over somehow. Up close Artys have a better chance against most thing they will encounter. Also worth noting, Arty can lob shots over the top of cover using "gravity" to curve the trajectory. Do we need to change this also?

  25. So the new Survival mode is proving popular, what are everyone's thoughts on it? I'm not the one making it BTW, just asking people's opinions. I would think that it could benefit from having the number of bots that spawn (or the bot difficulty or something) scale to the number of players. For example, when there are only 2 or 3 people on (lets be real this is a lot of the time in RenX) it is virtually impossible to win all 12 waves. But when you have 20 odd people, it seems too easy (just camp the bar entrance in a mammy).
