Neutron Posted May 5, 2019 Share Posted May 5, 2019 (edited) Since Ren X doesent follow the classic Ren game, would be awesome if instead of being limited to purchasing 6 characters with their specific equipment set, give us the options to purchase weapons, secondary, items and armor types separately from each other? In beta 5.1, we changed the entire system and added each unit a different side-arm, ability etc. Originally, each unit had a Primary Weapon, Silenced Pistol and a Timed C4. Every other class basically became a novelty. As for EVERY weapon being bought, that kind of just sounds like a lot more time being spent in the purchase terminal.... which I'm always against. By default it could be aptly named 'Elite' in its target box and cost 1500credits, certain weapons or armour types attach an particular weight. Like building an load-out XCOM style but without the fancy visuals. low-budget, the mechanic alone is aplenty. The only way this could really work is if RenX had an account system and the player could create an preset, otherwise character profiles would have to be save locally and that just wouldn't be gameplay-safe at all. Some headhacking of named characters and swapping them with GDI Officer and Nod Officer heads... Could also stick Raveshaw's head on the Mobius body's and have an C&C Dr.Kliener! Fantastic. That would be interesting, but it would have to be a once per round option to keep it from being the super class that was min-maxed to the 9s. Personally I wouldn't mind if there were some Tiberium Sun Tech infantry class like there are Tiberium Sun Vehicles. Nod Cyborg Commando vs GDI Jet Pack Trooper would be interesting.
