Too bad you didn't get the ceiling turrets to work, but great work sofar.

Hope some servers will add the map to testing rotation if you approve with that?

Absolutely, I hope so. I've ironed out the majority of bugs. Map is ready for a full 20v20 mash up

Hey, guess who's back.

Firstly, what happened to the MKII?

None of the lava between these rocks can kill you.

The CCTV is kinda buggy, could only view one monitor and was hard to exit sometimes, in one instance after mashing every key on my keyboard I had to kill myself to exit, might just be that I'm a few fries short of a happy meal though, idk. Also this happened, one is the repair tool showing up somehow, don't know if it can repair.

That's all I found in the short time I tried it out, love you're work especially the erupting volcano, also

I managed to get underneath the hovercraft but couldn't swim out to sea cuz of blocking volumes, well played.

Bonus, this happened when I shot off the grating, +1 for mad skillz.

Lot's of cool new fixes coming soon, along with the communications center update.

 

For now, here's a look at some new locations. I added some ancient ruins to the GDI side of the Jungle.

Yes, I am having great difficulty with this. I am using 'Set Camera Target' in Kismet to make players have control of security cameras. This works. But when setting camera target back to the players it causes problems due to 3rd person mode. Any ideas how to solve this?

Paths aren't that much of an issue for testing but the lighting is a major issue because the map now looks worse than OldRen does by today's standards.

We found a bug BTW (some people tested the map today):

MCT's in the security office do not take damage from timed C4, cause if you plant it, it goes through. Guess no colision!

Haha, I did actually attempt to add a gunboat a while back but took it out, it was going to act as extra defence on the shore. I basically hid a turret inside the boat model.

Another thing I took out was having the main base defences positioned slightly under the water with tunnels to access them. I will post a screenshot of that later.

Ah yes, I am aware of this too. It's due to using a 'door' as the collision model. I will try something else :)

Yes the cameras are going to be disabled in the update.

 

Also, I wondered if anybody could help me with this problem. I am trying to destroy team buildings using Kismet, as I am implementing the end game pedestal (accessible after 1 hour of play). Currently, Nod buildings can be destroyed with Kismet no problem. However, using the same method to destroy GDI buildings does not work. Any ideas on a solution to this?

I scrapped this idea due to it separating HON/Barracks from Obelisk/AGT too much. The tunnel connected perfectly to the security office, so it was kind of cool however.

Here's a sneak peak at some upcoming layout changes. (These are also noticeable on the map I uploaded earlier)

Many had noticed an inaccessible side path around Nod base. On the grounds of "everything happens for a reason" I decided to open that path up.

Also added is an extended Weapons Factory rear. Now the Weapons Factory can be infiltrated slightly more interestingly, via the dock area.

So, unfortunately, I had a hard drive failure. As you can imagine I am now the most annoyed man in Britain. Fortunately, Paradise is saved on my SSD, so it should be fine once I install Renegade again. What I have lost is 5 years worth of other projects on a 1tb drive which I foolishly didn't have backed up.

Don't throw your harddisk away, there might be ways to recover it.
