epicelite
-Hitting your crouch button twice in rapid succession will toggle crouch so you don't need to hold the button! -Crouching will prevent you from falling off ledges! -You can switch seats without exiting a vehicle! Just hit 1-5 (Depending on how many passengers the vehicle supports!) -A single timed C4 will take out a artillery/MRLS and are difficult to disarm in most cases. Especially easy to use a Stealth Black Hand to toss a timed C4 onto a MRLS as a easy and safe way of takeing them out!
Henk
If you're standing on top of an empty vehicle, you need to jump and then press E to get in.
RoundShades
Throw c4 upwards on top of vehicles, they can often be impossible to disarm standing from the sides on level terrain.
testman
Don't be afraid to take damage or sacrifice yourself / your vehicle to deal damage in appropriate situations. Whenever you know you will get killed and can't do anything useful, drop timed C4, so that you can potentially deal damage even after you die. Works best in tunnels. RoundShades
Always bumrush if you have either cost or counter advantage. If you are an SBH, and see a low Sydney, dump SMG into her, worse case scenario, you trade 400 for 1k. If you see a hotwire and their Bar is down, dump SMG into her, if you get that kill it's irreplaceable.
Ryz
If you see multiple C4 on the MCT dont hesitate to sell your unit (if bar is still alive) to get engineer / technician / hotwire in order to remove C4. Mine the INSIDE of the strip, not the front, people can jump the roof. Same goes for mining the base front, people can be dumped over it by a vehicle. testman
If you see multiple C4 on the MCT dont hesitate to sell your unit (if bar is still alive) to get engineer / technician / hotwire in order to remove C4. I would say that this is true in case that nobody else responds to your constant Q-spam of said C4. It depends on how much time is left. If C4 was just planted, buy repair tool for 200 and Q-spam while disarming. From what I understand, repair tool was put in game so that you don't have to sell your unit. If there is multiple C4 and you are the only one there, it's worth to lose 1k unit to save building.
Ryz
That's why I said IF you see multiple C4. If you see someone placing it is quite different, but when you are not sure how long the c4 is planted you should decide in a split second. XD_ERROR_XD
Some tips and may be more useful in AOW than Marathon. - Some vehicles' turrets are placed at the back of the vehicle, So try to learn how to drive and shoot backwards effectively for minimum coverage of your vehicle! - Engaged in a long-range tank-fight? make clever use of ground elevations, and drive with different speeds to throw your enemy off and easily dodge shells! - Always have a backdoor when engaging the enemy. Calculate the amount of time needed to get to a safe position, and make sure you always have enough health to make the escape! If you don't, you might want to change your approach. - Remember, a shot that kills is worth much more points than a shot that doesn't. Even a heavily damaged tank can still fire at full capacity and earn points for his own team. Always try to focus fire with your allies to increase your team's points, and decrease the enemy's! - Playing AOW? Is the enemy camping, or are you outnumbered? Don't fire a shell if you're going to get multiple ones in return! Instead, lure enemies to a weaker spot where more allies can help you! It's not worth getting points yourself if you are going to give the enemy even more points in return for it. - Playing AOW and your barracks/HoN is destroyed? Don't worry, the enemy infantry can no longer efficiently earn points off your team's infantry, while you can still shoot them for tons of points! Try to stall the game instead and increase that point lead of yours! - Playing AOW? Remember SBHs, beacons may change the outcome of a game, but also negatively! They give lots of points to the enemy if they get disarmed. Always try to act as a team. - Don't throw stones in glass houses without proper protection. That is all. Moderator Quinc3y Posted February 22, 2016 Moderator Share Posted February 22, 2016 - Getting out of vehicles in field to repair them can still be possible if you place remote c4s on your vehicle and blow it up if it gets stolen. Just don't repair it by standing directly in front/behind your vehicle, because you may get ran over before you get to blow remotes. Also try not to repair your vehicles in field continously for a longer period - repair a little, get in and move on, repair again, etc. Especially useful for GDI. - Use alt fire (right click) if you don't want to lock your missiles. Especially useful for MRLS and rocket soldiers. - Be much more careful on AOW than on marathon. Don't lose your vehicles and expensive characters easily and don't place beacons that have a low chance of going off - you are giving points to the enemy team. - While fighting infantry with your gunner/rocket soldier, it's usually a better idea to use your carbine/pistol than your bazooka. - Most important one: teamchat is a very important part of this game, do NOT ignore it. Listen to experienced players' orders, react to what's happening in the game. I could also give several tips on how to sneak successfully, but I better save those for myself
Henk
Press 4 to switch to remotes quickly. Also works on other weapons with other numbers but I use that one most frequently.

Totem Arts Staff Handepsilon Posted February 23, 2016 Totem Arts Staff Share Posted February 23, 2016 - Water blocks bullet and explosive fires from surface. However, explosion radius may still be affrcting you - Water destroys tank much faster than Flame Tank. Don't even think of driving underwater - Firing tank shells on building glass windows breaks neither integrity nor the window. - Do not drive vehicles near the furnace of the Power Plant. GDI and Nod engineers are not responsible for the damage the furnace's heat may have caused. - Never park your tank on vehicle production point. GDI engineers and Nod pilots will not be held responsible for removing them in the place of newly created vehicles. - Rocket Soldier's unguided alternate fire rocket travels much faster than the regular one - Blocking harvester route with tanks may result in said harvester to either : Push your tank off, Drive over your tank, or Flip your tank upside down. This also happens with Mammoth Tank - Third person view is always useful to peek while hiding behind the wall - Don't throw stones in glass houses without proper protection. That is all. djlaptop
It can be helpful to fire on a different building than the one you're attacking as a decoy. This will trigger an alert and could draw some enemy repairers into the wrong building, giving you time to finish off your actual target. Totem Arts Staff Handepsilon Posted February 26, 2016 Totem Arts Staff Share Posted February 26, 2016 Remembering the key combination to buy classes and vehicles in PT saves a lot of time. Fujiwara Chika
MRLS are prey to SBH, especially in maps with lots of cover on the field. Just plant c4s on them, then rush to cover so you can re-stealth. You'll be making a decent trade-off if you can repeat that. Imagine one or two skilled SBH supporting on field in this manner. You might not be able to handle bigger targets; let your own vehicles handle those. Though, you can impair GDI firepower. MRLS are rather heavy on DPS with their mass lock-on missiles. I've found this method useful for shutting them down. Make sure to tag a c4 from the side if possible, the rear also works, but if the MRLS backs up, you're dead. These positions allow you to run away from the vehicle while its turret turns to try and locate you. If you're quick enough, you can get away and be stealthy again. cncforever
That sniper getting you down? Fed up of getting shot? If you are on Nods team, use an Sbh, creep up and plant C4 on the snipers back. Silently move away while laughing in wait for the inevitable 'boink'. Taunt the sniper for added laughs. There are easier ways of getting rid of snipers but few are as rewarding. Ive noticed that this can create serious sniper paranoia too.
HaTe
When infiltrating a building with a tech/hotty in a high player count server, disarm each proximity mine to 5% then start working on the next one. Then disarm them all at once. It adds a few seconds of mines disarmed being noticed. Then place both timed c4s on the MCT. Then place 3 proximity mines at the door where the enemy is most likely to come in (or the PT in buildings like the ref, so that you are safe from the spawn point too). Then place your remote c4s and get out your pistol and hide somewhere safe within the building. If you think you may die from an enemy at any time, press 4 immediately and explode your remotes. Wait until your first timed c4 explodes to detonate your remote c4s if unnoticed, or when the first timed c4 hits 2 seconds if you are close to the MCT.
