Zeg Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Hi i bought UT3 via Steam and have downloaded, and now when i try to put -mod=..\Renegade -solomod at the end of the "target" in the shortcut, it says that it is not a valid place within the computer, not really sure what to do. Quote

If i start this now i havent any other backgroundscreen and nothing to launch a game... Also if i try to connect to a server now UT3 wanted to download 81 files! oO Why? So how can launch the game? I looked and my file structure at my games/unreal tournament 3 is not that i think it should be after installing! Iam German so if some1 can explain it in german it would be great PS: I download now the 81 files... Quote

Made a shortcut exactly like this but ut3 is only starting without mod on -.-Also the installer installed all into my games/unrealtournament 3 instead of my games/unreal tournament 3/UT Game/... where all other Mods and Maps are! ZeeLd Posted September 30, 2009 Posted September 30, 2009 Download the path for UT3 first then install RENX http://udn.epicgames.com/Files/UT3/UT3patch5.exe My target looks like this "C:\Game Files\Unreal Tournament 3\Binaries\UT3.exe" -mod=..\Renegade -solomod You will need to change Game Files to Program Files as I have UT3 installed in a different folder and it works for me!
