Launcher não abre | Launcher doesn't open (Google Translator)
Schmitzenbergh replied to Henk_BR's topic in Technical Support
Can you try reinstalling the game via the MSI ? So remove this one and reinstall. If that doesn't work, try using this "outdated" betaLauncher. I don't recommend using this full time, but if this one starts, something is bugged in the code of the current version. Maybe @Agent has an idea, as I've been away from launcher dev sometime now (I havent checked all the changes *shames*) -
Launcher não abre | Launcher doesn't open (Google Translator)

Can we get a bit more info? What system are you using? Windows version and .net version are helpful aswell. Try to check if the Launcher isn't active as a Ghost process in the task manager after you've started it. Report back if you have some more info -

low fps Getting 2-5fps at any setting!

Did you try disabling Anti Aliasing? Did the trick for me. -
I killed you? Edit: ahhhh.....

I cannot enjoy the game because of major performance issues.

If you haven't, try installing the UE3Redist -> http://amsterdam1.tyrant.gg/redists/UE3Redist.exe Otherwise try the usual, that is: check your GPU drivers and update them. Also, try disabling the AA options in the in-game settings menu. Removed some of the drops for me. -
This. The only part when we were aggressive was on the first half of Goldrush(Nod). On Walls(GDI) we never organised anything and only went to the field with lone tanks/chinooks to try (I think) to capture the plateau. I was defending that round so I wasn't really paying attention to the attack. The defence in the base was a bit too much but acceptable, but at some point you're going to crack if nod is knocking on your door for 15 minutes straight and you don't have any counter against that. But that's just my two cents. Edit: We did lose a AA tower on walls

Launcher deleting all files, can't update the game
Schmitzenbergh replied to Deviusowaty's topic in Technical Support
I don't get what you are doing. You can't manually launch the patcher. The normal flow for installing an playing Renegade X is: Download MSI installer from site; Execute installer and wait for completion; Execute the Launcher; Launcher will ask you to install the game; Wait for completion of installation -> after installation you will be asked to install UE3Redist, do this; Wait for completion of UE3Redist; All done, now you can launch the Launcher and play the game. Are you 100% sure you are using the Launcher as your startingpoint? Please provide some more info (Or screens of your Renegade X folders) -
Don't nuke it. Only use oven.
-
But yes, I am serious. Search it online 'baking GPU'.
-
You can always try to 'bake' the GPU in an oven for +- 10 minutes @ 200 degrees Celsius. Make sure you remove all the fans, heatsinks etc... Only the PCB should be left. After baking, let it cool down and re-attach the heatsinks and fans. Then, try again in your pc! I've done this once with a GeForce 8600GT and it ran for 1 year again. Then it died permanently... Then you could sell the card to get some money for your new one

Built with UDK has Stopped working.
Schmitzenbergh replied to seth's topic in Feedback & Bug Reports
As per standard fixing, check the following: Up to date GPU drivers Up to date DirectX UE3 redist (Installs when you use the normal msi installer, otherwise it's here -> http://amsterdam1.tyrant.gg/redists/UE3Redist.exe ) Aggressive virus/firewall tools If that's all up to date, please report back. -
How to setup the ingame downloader AKA 30 second timeout fix
Schmitzenbergh replied to ShrewdTactician's topic in Servers
It hasn't been touched since forever so that's not a big problem. Lets keep both downloaders in the first phase. When the built-in version working and running for lets say a week or 2 and no serious bugs are encountered, then we can remove the seeker from the launcher. This way we can always fall back to something.- 35 replies

How to setup the ingame downloader AKA 30 second timeout fix
Schmitzenbergh replied to ShrewdTactician's topic in Servers
Aye. When this is implemented, I'll make the seeker default to not working. Peeps can Always enable it manually via the setting menu.- 35 replies

How to setup the ingame downloader AKA 30 second timeout fix
Schmitzenbergh replied to ShrewdTactician's topic in Servers
Does this mean I can finally mute all the people that scream that the seeker isn't working and rip it from the Launcher? (even though it works fine for most of the peeps)- 35 replies

I must say that this new GDI technology for the orca's is a bit low tech... But this is a very funny feature

I like it. Really had some fun with bots. Like the atmosphere and the scrinship flying by is a nice touch. The ticking of the tiberium is a bit to loud for my liking. I was blown away with awesomeness..

Please release standalone patch package
Schmitzenbergh replied to [Dragon]cike's topic in Feedback & Bug Reports
Every time an update is pushed to the clients its an incremental update. The only time you need to download the game as a whole is the first time you install it. All updates that come after are smaller in size as it only updates the files needed. I can't help you with any download speed improvement. The only way to achieve this would be to download all the patch files on another server and let the launcher patch it via that new server. But I've never tried this... -
Um... Thx? (I didn't come up with it though , the first one in this topic to come up with it is @Madkill40)
-
You're applying via a non-supported way. The official way worked for you so the problem does not occur in the Launcher as there is no support for custom mirrors. Then again, it should work the way you executed it. I glad you got it up and running, but to determine what the problem is, I need to re-create your scenario.

This is from another topic with some screens of the scorpion hunters. If you want to, you may finish it. Keep in mind that a single player map is very different than a multiplayer map.
