  1. Well, I have to defend @Ryzhere. He said multiple things but at one point he said: But yeah, 4 peeps bought a SBH and that's why @Ryz was kinda pissed and I can only agree with him on that one. Yes the SBH were used in the attack of, I think, the Ref. But I'd rathed had 3 doza's + 1 SBH than 4 Sbh in that attack. We only had 10 or so people to begin with, so the more firepower the better. Yeah, I asked multiple times for 3 other people to join me on the SBH Ref attack (and maybe in extend the Barr). There were responses but in the end nobody came. So lonely me attacking the Ref... No hard feelings though. I didn't knew the Barr had no mines, could have done some serious damage Overall, the PUG from our side was just a mess. Not only @Ryz jabbering, but also me not having any idea's that evening. @Ryzhelped me with some idea's as well as @Madkill40 (That APC filled with anti-tank was fun yet badly executed :P) Got a bit demotivated after losing another Gobi match for the second time in a PUG for the same reason. But yeah, my speech at the end said it all ;p And for the @TK0104 team:
  2. Maybe you guys have seen this, or maybe not but I'm having some weird graphical gliches on C&C3. I'll show you a screenshot. As you see, the tiberium has a weird blue decal below it. But that's supposed to be green. I've tried all graphics setting and this is taken with everything to max. I can't seem to get the green decals. Is this something with AMD GPUs? Before I had an NVidea GPU and that worked fine (4 years ago or so). On a side node: the watchtowers seem to shoot stuff, but I can see any bullets... Again very weird. Maybe someone has seen this before? If not, I'll try somewhere else. PS: GPU = Amd Radeon 7950 (Yes yes, not the most modern card, but it was dirt cheap for the performance )

  4. Try inPrivate- or incognito mode or whatever it is called. It will initiate a cache free instance to a site and might fix it. If it fixes it, clear your cache and delete cookies 'n stuff. Oh and lol, IE to the rescue! It gets a lot of flame and ridicule, but it works quite good if you just use standards (Albeit it's getting a bit old nowadays).
  5. Thommy, for the love of skateboarding Jesus and his pal Krishna the scubadiver. Please finalize one of your other maps before starting another. You have ten or so maps that are either: Not done in a mile; Close to done but needs polish; Potential maps that are now in a stasis chamber because you left them; Good. You now have the CNC-dunes map that you are making a "lets build" of (Which looks awesome), CNC-meteor that isn't done by a mile but has potential, CNC-uphill that is close to done but needs that bit of love that makes it done and CNC-River which is not done by a mile. And now you are re-opening City again. How do you even handle it?! You're like a clown juggling with Scorpions that are on fire now. That map CNC-Dunes or Outposts or whatever it is called. Please focus all your love on that, Make new assets for it if you really want to for your study. Anything but please commit to put out at least one nice and polished map. If you put some time and love in the final stages, you are getting a great map. I mean, Tomb is a great example of a good map. Yes the final stages of a map are tedious. I also like to see maps come to life in big steps, but the smaller details are what make a map. I mean, look how long it took to make CNC-Arctic or even CNC-Storm. I'm not working on it that much, but I really want to make that map great (again). I have plenty of idea's for new maps. I even have one in my mind in which I want to ask you to do a part, but not before CNC-Storm is V1.0 done. Do as you please of course. But keep in mind: "Beter een vogel in de hand dan tien in de lucht" AKA It would be better to have one decent map, than 10 unfinished ones. PS: Skateboarding Jesus agrees with me.
  6. It was I who suggested Whiteout, that why I'm not suitable for command ;p But seriously, Whiteout was the best of the bad maps we could choose from. The whole game took a better turn when I didn't command (If you could even call it commanding...) and we won on Goldrush. Ah well, maybe next time I'll be in a better game mood. But after the 3rd game losing harv battles and getting pushed back (Like in Canyon, which we started good), I really gave up hope... Let's see how the next pug goes
  7. Do the bullets of the chaingun fly away? Or is it like they have a direct impact to an invisible wall? I can's see it on the screenshots.
  8. I think you added collision to things that aren't in need of collision. Can you try firing a chaingun? If the projectiles block, it might be collision on the sky-dome or other large object (Had that problem with Grassy back in the day). Then again, if you are going to roll back a version, don't bother. I think thats better anyway as a lot seems to be shifted...
  9. Maybe. If users have installed the game va the MSI that shouldn't be necessary. Then again, not everybody does this. I'll put it on the board, shouldn't be that hard to do.
  10. Hmm... Very weird. It runs through all steps, but yet it can't show the window. Any overlay software running or something else that tries to attach to a game? Overclocking software? The launcher seems to crash at the moment it want's to show the main window. This is most certainly something externally (I have 3 pc's at home, one with an AMD gpu, one with a Nvidia and even an Intel thingy to test the launcher and all run fine.) I'll try to cook up another launcher to try and pinpoint the problem, but it will take some time. Kinda busy at work atm.
  11. @Veyron If you could pm me a link with the files, maybe the devs could do something with it. At least it won't go down into the cybergraveyard that way. Would be sad to see all that work go... Why did you stop so abruptly?
  12. So, @Facile's problem is solved. It looks like his MSI Afterburner software was the culprit. I can't say this with absolute certainty, but when he removed the MSI Afterburner, the Launcher started correctly. So if you have software like MSI Afterburner active, please close it and try if the Launcher starts. @arestavo Do you have a 32-bit installation by any chance? I'm going to attach the debug launcher I used for @Facile's problem to this post. It spams a hell lot of messageboxes, but it can pinpoint the location of the startup fault for me. This launcher is out-of-date at this moment so don't use it as a regular one. Report all the messages it shows to me, I'll look into it then. The DebugLauncher can be found here -> LauncherDebug.zip

  14. IP note? Do you mean the IP address of the server you selected? I haven't built this update. @Agent should know more details. If your Launcher has been deleted, it happened due to external means. There is no code present in the update mechanism that deletes your whole Launcher and leaves it like that. I can provide a standalone launcher if needed.

  16. UE3Redist isn't going to help you with Launcher related problems. That's purely for the game itself. Do you have any trouble running other applications? I'll prepare a *special* Launcher with some messageboxes to pinpoint where it all goes wrong. I'll PM you when it's done. (Otherwise i'll need to do a skype session or some sort to live-debug your application, quite the hassle) EDIT: I pm'd you with a debug version of the launcher. Please report back with the results.
  17. are there any 'Ghost processes' of the launcher running? You can check that via the task manager. The proces should be called 'launcherTwo'. if that doesn't work, I'll need to figure out something else, but first check this. (I'll probably be in need of making a custom build with more logging for you to try)
  18. This is, in my opinion, what is dragging down some RenX games. An example, yesterday I played a game on Islands for half an hour or so. I was there from the start and as GDI, we were doing quite great. Constantly pounding the nod base with a whole array of tanks. The suddenly, a nuke was placed at the ref and it was succesfull -> GDI lost the ref. A whole shitstorm and votes for restarting the map came up because it "wasn't fair" that we lost the ref. I read something about someone that was hindering the Nuke disarm, but then again. Instead of bitching and moaning about that the match "wasn't fair" anymore we should have gather so many flipping tanks and steamroll the whole nod base to oblivion (The money was there just after the ref was destroyed). But instead we started whining (Not everyone though, some kept their warface on). The lost ref was our fault, not the game itself. We didn't disarm the nuke. But we now lost our income and suddenly it isn't fair anymore. Just because we were at the upper hand until the ref got destroyed? I don't know the exact situation at the ref because I was in the tank team, but I've seen the behaviour in other games as well. As soon as you lose one building->Whine instead of lose building->Buckle the fuck up and try something else. This is just my experience with some games I've played, yours may differ. On the PUG matches this behaviour is different, when you lose building you buckle the fuck up and try something else. That why I reccomend more people joining the PUG's to experience a different RenX (This is also due to the better communication.) Edit: As for sniping. I was sniping for some time in that match as well. I am litterally the worst sniper ever, but somehow I killed quite some chars on the nod team. But all that time, nobody tried to attack me with either a vehicle (Protip) or a SBH (Protip). And I was just plain in sight on the battlefield. I even killed some people multiple times, but even they ignored me. If you do this with better snipers, well tough luck. You're going to get raped indeed. Edit2: I agree wit this, 60 peeps is way too much on certain maps. 60 people on, for example, Arctic Stronghold is fine, but on Islands it isn't.

  21. What have you tried, that would be helpful. I can not determine what the problem is at the moment. Did you try running it as an administrator? What is the location of the launcher executable? Does is show any window? What is your antivirus/malware program? This is again one of those mysterious problems that usually is inside a user's system. As the Launcher isn't really special software. It could be that it gets blocked due to it connection to various servers.

  23. Well umm, do you have any more details? This could be anything from a server crash to game crash to map crash. Did anything happen? Did the EMP fire or something?
  24. I thank you. Looks like a promising map. But I can't say to much as it is heavy WIP. I would suggest you make a lot of height differentiation on the beach part for more interesting gameplay there. Another thing, maybe heighten up the nod base so you have the GDI base on the lower beach and the nod base on the higher green area. At the moment it looks like you've carved a piece of ground away to make place for the nod base. Blend it in with the terrain Another neat idea might be to make a little shallow water part on the beach for tanks to drive trough. When shot you'll get those big *sploosh* effects Keep 'm up, might become an interesting map. I like the environment!
