  1. How about bringing some old maps back for these fun events? Like Beta 1 Mesa or Field?
  2. Same on Islands. I think it is very important, especially at the beginning of a game, and it will add up the longer the game lasts.
  3. Downloaded the launcher update, Norton still "finds" an infection called Heur.AdvML.B and deletes the launcher.exe
  4. I don't think you read my post carefully enough...I said Nod wins more than 1 in 10, therefore I don't think it's 90/10 towards GDI. I am no expert in maths but I can't see anything wrong in that statement @j0g32 is right, it would be interesting to see some stats to back up the arguments we make.
  5. I agree with pretty much everything on your list, but IMO Under is not quite 90/10 in favour of GDI. Mass arties with techs and 1-2 flame tanks can easily oppress GDI, I've been in games where GDI had no chance of leaving their base, let alone even getting a harvester drop. Stank rushes often work, too. From my experience it is more than 1 win in 10 games for Nod, so I would say Under is probably more like 65/35 for GDI.
  6. The repair message are important though, often people don't realize that a building is under attack until teammates start to spam "building x needs repair". Similarly, if you want to get a rush going, you need to send the message repeatedly to get people to join. However, I agree that some messages could be more limited, nobody needs to see "Spotted 1 Enemy near a tree in the forest" on their screen multiple times. Also, commanders should be able to spam voice commands in the way moderators can. It would really help if commanders could spam "Get in the vehicle" or "Move out" when organizing a rush.
  7. Someone at my uni created a simple but useful app. The uni has several campuses spread over the city, so sometimes you need to travel from one campus to an other between lectures (must go by bus or car because if you walk, you won't make it in time). In the app, you can select which campus you are at right now, and then it gives you an overview which bus at which station you need to take to get to an other campus or the train station and when it leaves etc. Maybe something similar is needed at your college/city, too? Not sure if Ren X needs an app or what it could look like
  8. Thanks for the heads up, I will give it a try!
  9. Maybe make it so overmining is not possible? I.e. once the mine limit is reached, you can't place any new mines? Or give overminers a huge warning on the middle of their screen, similar to the "Return to battlefield" warning?
  10. I agree some amendmends should be made regarding the surrender votes. Here are my ideas: - A team should only be able to surrender when it has lost 2-3 buildings (depending on map). - At least 30 minutes should be played before surrendering becomes an option. - Remove the ability to spam votes so a team can only vote to surrender like every 10 minutes. Make it a team-wide cooldown, not player based. "Losing" teams will be forced to at least try to put up a fight under these conditions. At the moment, a lot of games are ended by surrenders even though comebacks could actually well be made but people simply don't bother.
He says he doesn't speak English. After updating to 5.25, the game doesn't work for him any more. Told him to uninstall and do a fresh new install.
  12. Something has been bothering me for a while in terms of balancing. If you go crate hunting at the beginning of agame, Nod has the advantage because their Flame Troopers are the fastest of the free units. On maps like Walls, GDI rarely get the money crates early on, lessening their chances of doing an early APC rush, for example. Considering that Nod is already very strong in the early game stages due to flamers/chems anyway, shouldn't GDI also get a free unit with 105 speed? Grenadier maybe?
  13. I think Kaiser once had a Chinook from a crate, but this was even before beta 5.21 was released. I actually bought it in the WF, not knowingly or willingly though. There was a nuke on WF that was not disarmed in time, so 2-3 seconds before impact I bought a Hover MRLS (vehicle slot 6 in the menu if I'm not mistaken). Other players' vehicles were delivered first so when the WF blew up, I had to wait for the airdrop. Instead of my Hover MRLS, it brought me a Chinook, which usually is vehicle slot 6 on regular flying maps. I can only assume that there was a slight problem in the kismet or mutator or whatever nBab implemented to add TS vehicles to the purchase menu causing the game to mix these two up. Not sure if it is fixed, I haven't tried to reproduce. Pretty sure it did happen in 5.21 though, Ryz, since I remember it was on a regular public game. It was quite funny, there were some hilarious reactions on the chat when GDI suddenly had a chinook on a non-flying map.
  14. Overview map on Goldrush shows a silo although it was removed from the map.
  15. Why are Humvees/Buggies/APCs even purchasable after WF/Airstrip is down? Remove the airdrops and there will be less stalemates. I would even go as far as to say even T1 units should not be available to buy after Bar/HoN is destroyed. Yes, comebacks will be harder, but it will teach people to actually care about their buildings in the first place.
  16. Aren't enemy beacons, that get Q-spotted by my teammates, meant to show on my overview map? Because at the moment, they don't.
  17. At the moment, I think the communications center is too powerful. It also changes the behaviour of players, in a way which I don't think suits the game - on Field for example, often 2-3 team members camp the CC, which nobody ever does for the silo. Means less people concentrating on focusing on the actual target - to destroy the enemies base. How about this idea: Every 15 seconds, it reveals all enemy units on the minimap for 3 seconds. This way, the CC could still be a useful asset, but it won't be a total must-have anymore.
  18. Yes, this should be implemented. Too often there are players that change to the winning team during a game, making teams uneven. The player 'tasukete' for example always does this, even though he has been kicked multiple times for doing so.
  19. Great idea, I am supporting this! The obvious question is, what's to stop someone from exploiting veterancy gain by donating his friend 10k, his friend donating him back, back, forth, back, forth? Donating to a single person should not grant VP IMO, only team donations. Should be a certain amount, too, say, 5 k or something like that. Think it would be rather difficult to exploit that. I know donating itself helps the team already (especially when ref is down), but yet there are a lot of players who don't consider it...so maybe getting some VP would encourage them.
  20. In my view you guys really did a great job regarding balancing. Yes, Nod can hit the AGT with arties from just outside their base (as Cherno said), but GDI can hit the Obelisk/Nod PP with Gunners from just outside their own base, too. Quinc3y got GDI to make a Gunner rush yesterday, Nod PP went down in no time, because they did not expect it. This option certainly counters arty spam well. From what I've seen so far, the matches have been pretty even, with both sides winning a more or less equal amount of games, so again, great work!
  21. I noticed the sign in the game, good job Ruud!
  22. Not sure if anyone remotely cares, but here's how the German part of the sign should read (changes are underlined):
