  1. I'd recommend you guys play 0.5. It's a very polished version of this mod, with all the buildings, 7 stock maps, custom mutators and custom maps, most of the bugs have disappeared, etc. It's a big improvement from 0.35, no longer as glitchy, and it will stay as the standard Renegade X version for a while. We're getting more players than ever nowadays, and the fanbase is growing. Our UDK version is months away, and our "final release" is probably a year away. I can guarantee that we'll make a final release one day and a lot of these people that promised to play it will be long gone. If you've got UT3, might as well install 0.5 and give it a whirl.
  2. It isn't as gigantic as you may think from the teaser. I believe the size is appropriate. It'll engulf one building and not the entire base.
  3. QUOTE (R315r4z0r @ Feb 12 2010, 07:01 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I can imagine that would be an abusing point for team hampers.
  4. If you're down to free infantry, and Artillery/MRLS, Humvee/Buggies have overrun your base, basic soldiers are probably the best in that position. If you lost both your weapons factory, barracks, and defenses, well, the inability for a real defensive chance is part of the game mode. Make sure those buildings don't die.
  5. You mean go right through them?
  6. A bit late, but for anyone that still does not have UT3 and eagerly wants to play Renegade X 0.5, here's an extremely cheap copy. http://www.amazon.com/Unreal-Tournament-II...6762&sr=8-1 For $7.97 get both Unreal Tournament 3, Renegade X, and all the other great mods.
  7. Right now the Harvesters have straight paths to the Tib field and back to the refinery. Its extra heavy and able to push things out of the way to prevent them from being pushed into rivers and such by enemies. What you have there in your picture is pretty much a goldmine, because it usually takes very little effort to simply drive away from the harvester's path.
  8. QUOTE (Havoc89 @ Feb 8 2010, 02:30 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Corrected.
  9. Volt rifles are in 0.5, those things are very much an anti-everthing weapon as long as your get in range.
  10. QUOTE (epicelite @ Feb 7 2010, 07:59 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The snipers are good at all vehicles under 500 credits, and good against aircraft (when they make it in).

  14. QUOTE (Atlas Tasume @ Feb 4 2010, 04:20 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> The most popular server is in Amsterdam and due to MP's dedication to this mod, that won't change soon. I think the goal is to have two populated servers instead of just one at most times - and I can see this happening with the UDK release.
  15. We've made a slew of songs for Renegade X, why not use these ones? http://www.moddb.com/mods/renegade-x/downloads
  16. I'll be at university, and I have a midterm on Thursday, so I probably won't be there.
  17. Venom, I'm sure many people out there would play it, as long as it's done right.
  18. To run the editor: http://www.renegade-x.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3735 To make a map: http://www.renegade-x.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=3793
  19. It's not about the fans "pushing the team to do a better job", there are certain things we cannot control - at least not right now - one of which is the server side hit detection. We're still looking into ways to make it client side, but for now I think it's hard coded into UT3 and not under the team's control. I think the main problem is numbers - SSHD isn't so bad if you're playing in a server that's close by. The reason why people are complaining about it is because throughout most of the day, just one server is being used. The MP server is great and I love the people, but it's in Amsterdam, so most North Americans with high speed internet get around 250 ping, resulting in the terrible hit detection for laggers. If we had more players (which is expected to at least double when our UDK version comes out), we can populate a U.S server. Whenever I do play on Borgamers, for example, my ping's around 50 and hit detection is almost instant. Anyway, load times for me are honestly just 10-15 seconds.
  20. I didn't get the link, but he has been banned.
  21. As for populated servers, we were just have a 6v6 as you were posting that, and people are playing at this very moment. People aren't playing 24/7, but we normally have people on between 5pm and 10pm GMT. Anyway the three eras is a cool idea, but that's basically three entire mods. The C&C eras are very different from each other - different vehicles, weapons, characters, structures, and environments. To make three sets of everything is too difficult for this team, especially since it's taken us this much effort to get all the Renegade stuff in. Our mod is open sourced and anyone is more than welcome to make a Tiberian Sun or C&C3 mod for Renegade X, but the team will focus on finishing Renegade X this year.
  22. I like Renegade X a lot better, apart from the client side hit detection and smaller numbers. But hey, we're only half done the mod, it gets better every build & the UDK version is something to look forward to.
  23. Are you talking about the NE forums? We're not recruiting right now. And dude, please, don't post topics like this here. These are the RenX public forums.
  24. No problem dude, definitely solemn news till today for the band and its fans. We still don't know what happening with the band.
