  1. Nice Trivia. But new players will not understand. Are you picking this up? ... sounds like an insult. We need your help. ... sounds desperate. Where is the celebration of this being possible?
  2. There is entirely TOO much Change MAP going on. 1. It is a big distraction from game play. 2. It often involves repeated distractions from game play. 3. It is really ANNOYING and destructive of immersion. I understand the mechanic and the value it gives to us players to control the fun. It can allow us to skip a map with problems, or a when teams are small - choose an appropriate map. Sometimes it is really helpful. But Sometimes it just seems to be used for petty reasons, is the cause of conflict and is used to no good end but to force players to give up 10 -20 min of immersion. We all have opinions on maps, I guess I wish we could diminish this aspect of conflict and enable the selection of maps to be more organic. When the game starts, every action I take, every thing I observe - it all builds my commitment to play. The fun is in the Evolution. Every time that is cut/ended/aborted! - my commitment to the game is severed. My enjoyment is thwarted.
  3. For the Record I have donated. Maybe its just me but i do not find the notice appealing. We need your help... are you picking this up. It strikes me the wrong way. Kinda negative. I would rather see something that encourages my participation by invoking teamwork, or being a part of the Forward march of RenX etc. This is such an awesome game and I have always enjoyed being a tiny part of it's evolutions. Appeal to this.
  4. I don't think there is a name for this. ??or is there? On Walls you see them just outside the wall on the left and right. Those little platforms with 4 ramps and4 shields just right for a defender. Can we have a little fun and try naming them? And no, BoatyMcBoatface is not the name... Who Remembers when the British Government let the internet name their new polar exploration boat? lol.. boatymcboatface #1. My Suggestions: Gunny Deck. Platyform.

  6. I'm just saying. It ain't right. These are Primary maps for Ren X. They are so (Fn) useful for small team games that can build hang out and turn into bigger teams.... <--- - It is CRAZY needed! Perhaps we need a PRIMARY map designation>???
  7. I think buffs as a mechanic are great fun. They keep the game active, involve teamwork and the special effects are always a plus. But giving these powers to one person - a commander, is not good for the unique teamwork and on field action in Renegade X. Instead of Command Buffs ~ Allow players to purchase self buffing. Either thru money or Command Points or Veterancy - as long as it correctly regulates the flow the buffs. Example~ I hear the team is forming a gunner rush. I can: 1. Buy a Gunner and also get a Defense Buff and an Offense Buff. ( I invested heavily so this rush is GONNA! work dammit. ) 2. Buy a Gunner and just an offense buff. ( I was just in tunnels and it is a wide open path to kill a building) 3. Just buy a gunner. ( I am not too sure about how well this is gonna work) In my vision of this concept you would also look different. Visual cues would enable intuitive game play! Take a look at the other gunners. Oo.. i see they are all getting buff abilities. Maybe I should do that too..... Especially on the battlefield, a change to the Character appearance would say to other players A LOT about the intended actions to come. Give players more abilities and more voice = more fun. The details of triggering are a bit tricky. Maybe you start by turning it active. Then trigger it to go when the time is right. Not sure. Example~ Gunner rush proceeds to the objective. Upon arrival, instead of opening fire too soon.... .. .... players activate offensive buff. Trigger it to start, FIRE! - and of course it runs a short amount of time and expires. One time use i suppose. Killing a player with these abilities would mean more benefits like veterancy.
  8. Unless the players are given more abilities and tools to communicate and the mechanic to form spontaneous rushes born out of the action.... It still makes no sense to me to give one person control of what is essentially a teamwork based game. Let the players form effective rushes in the field.
  9. They are a game killer. Maybe even a server killer. God bless they are Awesome fun. But it is too powerful to be allowed at the start of a match. Prohibit early Twin Rocket Crates TODAY! Sign below or other to indicate support.
  10. I believe the issue has been raised and discussed previously. A mod was even made and used. If I remember right it used 20 players or so as the kick in for beacons. I am just a player and not privy to all the information on decisions, but i heard that many players did not like it and that is why you do not see that mutator on more servers. I agree that allowing players more options in the game is generally the right approach and I support more voting options for players.
  11. Yep. I agree the mechanic is very problematic. Does it sometimes break a stalemate and allow a conclusion to the match? Yes. But as I have posted with other threads - there are ways to achieve this without this dis-functional mechanic.
  12. Wow there is so much that is new. I will take a couple of points on for ya. EMP. This will stop a vehicle rush in it's tracks. Also it can clear out mines in it's vicinity. Airstrikes. God how i hate them. They will rain trouble on any group of Camped out enemy. They can be shot down if you have the skill. No doubt you will notice the extensive use of the new voting system, and the role of commander.
  13. Theme: Snow!!! Map priority: 1. Snow! 2. whiteout 3. Arctic stronghold. ( 100,50, 25) 5 Snow, 2 whiteout, 0 arctic stronghold. Points awarded for theme consistency and server dominance. I give myself 500 pts for Total theme dominance, ALL available servers are Theme. Snow 5 x100 = 500, whitewout 2 x 50 =100. Original Theme + 250. Total for Isupreme: 1350! #1 High Score !!! Isupreme 1350! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Game OPEN
  14. I must admit that one of the aspects of Renegade X that I enjoy, is the social. Sure its fun to shoot,rush and be dominant! But there is also that part of the game that allows for messaging and joking and !noob and questions and answers, along with a healthy dose of watching all the action and looking for opportunities and considering strategies. How will Firestorm allow enough chill to enable socializing? In Renegade X we have various times to socialize: The time between games. The time during stalemates and slow action. Helping the team by AFK repairs. Helping the team by simply supporting with REPs by engineers. etc. Will Firestorm include such opportunities for chill social interaction? One of the features that makes Renegade X unique/special/one-of-a-kind is the intensity of action combined with the free and open communications both global and team. Why does RenX pull this off? I would suggest it is the balance of essential battle chat and the human need for interaction. RenX has magically achieved this. How will Firestorm match Renegade X for Action + Human Interaction = Fun?
  15. DenWellingston, why do you call it a polygon? What you describe is something I have often wished for Renegade X. These types of help for new players should be considered an Essential part of the plan, not a finishing touch.

  19. I was excited to take a new look at this map today. Now I must drop a note and say it is looking A.W.E.some. There is so much that looks great. It feels more open and the different path options feel more accessible. I am very curious what teams would make of this map. 1. The look. The omnipresent Kilauea, the lava flows, !The look of planes landing in the mountains. Sweet. 2. Game play. It is funky how each base is an entirely different set up, and yet, I can imagine the planning that went into it because each base is sort of set up to work with the strengths and weakness of the factions. 3. The rocks. I don't know why, but I find the rock formations more dynamic than usual. Fun Stuff!

  22. Once placed, a Proximity sensor would detect enemy within a certain range. Been a while since I dropped a Crazy Idea.... what you think? They could be easily destroyed and probably a bit more obvious.
  23. I often find lately, that my finger to press the Q button is hitting the key just above it.. the 2 key which shifts me into the passenger seat. Could that be what is happening?
  24. I played a game on Walls yesterday. In front of our nod base I could not even stand on the defensive platform. ( the ones immediately left and right, just outside the wall) The tiberium damage was intense. Surely we do not mean to make these fighting positions useless ........
