How about the core-communities eternal gratitude and love for the re-creation of an old-time game? Or, the fun of playing the (a) game you've personally helped designing? I don't think 'fun' just is not true in terms of rewards

Last 3 maps I played: Wall-Flying Islands Whiteout On all 3 maps I was 'lucky' enough to be placed on the Nod team. All 3 maps were won by Nod. I started each map as an engineer defending against those early rushes, succeeded on Walls and Islands, but on Whiteout I started killing the GDI harvester. Everything worked out. On all 3 maps though, we had a 3-man SBH+nuke tagteam. Everytime we nuked, atleast 1 building went down as we targetted 3 different buildings. Sometimes with artillery/flame pressure on the 4th. This tactic is VERY rewarding, as GDI scrambles to the nukes without succes, well, partial succes as I am the one placing my nuke very easy to catch, giving time for the other nukes to decimate the base. Anyway, defense is indeed a joke against SBH nukes used like this, in games 10v10. GDI having 3-4 defenders to defend against an overpowering SBH nuke tagteam while the other 6-7 are trying to assault the Nod base. Well, they first have to get passed the 5-6 defenders in their flamers/lights/artilleries/apaches though. As soon as I die, I join the defenders as techy, so GDI has no chance at all. Just writing this to show how small-games can be very overpowering by Nod

I hated to do that, so I just didnt bother. But covertly entering the enemy base wasnt that easy compared to RenX though; no sprint, less hiding spots, more obvious routs. Driving around in a humvee was my persistent tactic in the old ren, same as now, but now it's darn harder and less rewarding against SBHs.

Because it comes down to if the mechanic was intended or not. If it wasn't intended, NOTHING of the sort should be allowed as it is abusing a glitch. If it is intended, EVERYTHING should be allowed, even the 6-8-man drop from a chinook onto a single structure to both defend the beacon/hotwires/engineers and destroy it. The compromises you suggest, make it sound like the mechanic is/was intended and should be tweeked a bit for balancing issues. If it WAS intended, then there should be 'seats' or 'slots' on top of a vehicle for an outside character to 'ride and repair' the vehicle. Basically the same thing, but as the surfing character is 'bound' to the vehicle, there is no chance of falling off, but still susceptible to splash damage and sniping. On top of that, you shouldnt have to drop from a higher location on top of the vehicle to reach the spot, but just press a number (seat number) when in the vehicle. To that end, humvees/buggies and maybe other vehicles should be snipable through the windows aswell, to kill the driver and other occupants to steal the vehicle. But thats a whole other idea. Point is, vehicle occupants are protected from damage until the vehicle is destroyed and therefore, the proposed idea of 'outside seats' is also a bit hard to realize.

how can i download that map? Note the timestamp of the post: May 11th 2011. Things cant be separately downloaded, only through updating/downloading new beta 3 when it releases.

atomizer, check this link: viewtopic.php?f=13&t=73575 It's kenz3001's project of Volcano. Gives you an idea what map-creating is about. He has hours upon hours of work uploaded on youtube and to my understanding, thats not even half of ALL the work he has done. It's worth a watch

Old ren allowed this when you pressed Q (by default I believe) as the driver. I agree, it can be very handy for an APC/Humvee/Buggy driver to just focus on driving straight rather than shooting at the same time. However, I do not recommend killing infantry outside the enemy base because upon respawn, they help defend the base. Then again, INSIDE the enemy base you would want to have that option availible (driving to block the doors while passenger kills infantry)

And therein lies the thinking error. It should be either allowed (and intended for that matter!) or not allowed in it's entirety. Accept the good and the bad that comes with a single decision. If you accept vehicle surfing, then you MUST also accept surfing by 6 people altogether than just limiting it to a certain number for tactical purposes. Realy?! How realistic is it for a person to stand on top of a heli/transport with rotors turning?! I call mincemeat to those fools! Orca, might be possible, but what about the jets, shouldnt they 'suck in' the person and expelled out like the air is used for lift? Ok, lets ban surfing on flying vehicles, that bans out 1 typ of surfing, so banning 1 part of surfing but not the other (ground vehicle surfing) is again the same type of solution as limiting the surfer numbers is. There it is again, accept it as a whole or reject it as a whole.

No idea what you are on about and what your problem is, I don't have these issues using windows. Once in a while (lets say once every 3 months or so) I get a notification of a possible threat, I dive into it and remedy the situation how I see fit. As long as you or other people who use your machine, do not access dubious websites, then there is hardly anything going wrong with a windows OS. IMO, linux being a free OS (most of the time), is more prone to being broken than windows or Mac. Yes, microsoft/windows have a monopoly, but thats only because it was the first major OS following DOS. The reason for Mac having less issues with trojans and such is because the vast majority of businesses and privately used OS is windows. Hackers would have a better target targetting windows than Mac/Apple, let alone linux users. So your complaint about SFJake's question for lack of playable games is in my opinion, ungrounded. I wish my school added programming into my curriculum

Just shows how game-breaking vehicle surfing is ... I mean, server owners can set up rules like: surfing is allowed only on orca's/heli's when the WF/Strip of the opposing team isn't destroyed. Or Surfing is only allowed in circumstances X and Y when A and B are not destroyed and when server admin is present to follow the exact movement of the surfer/vehicle in order to prevent exploits. Ugh, just admit already that this kind of tactic isnt an tactic and was not intended to be possible at all. In all reason, the Devs are so into the game for these many years that they play/develop it for fun and do not think of possibilities one might have to abuse the game mechanics to play it the way it wasnt intended. So saying that the Devs should have thought about it or should have designed it another way to prevent it is b@llcr%p. On your example Luna, 2 havocs could have killed it easily, it takes 5 shots to kill a heli/orca with a ramjet, so 8 would be too much to repair through.

To be fair, I had a 32 bit version of win7 when I bought my PC 2nd hand (from a computer geek who got a better one for free from his work). Intel i7 quadcore including 4 strips of 4GB RAM, totalling 16GB. Ofcourse my 32 bit windows didnt allow me to use more than 3.5GB of RAM due to being 32bit so I needed to upgrade to a 64bit anyway.I also had an old graphics card, a GeForce 8800 GT which also didnt quite hit the mark for Ren X. As I was already planning to upgrade that card in the near future, there wasnt a better time than when I bought the 64bit version. Bought me a GeForce 660 GTX and was set to play Ren X. Didnt have the crashing anymore since the upgrade. Now, I'm not telling you to get a better system JUST for Ren X, in my case I was already planning on upgrading and Ren X was just another reason to. I suggest to you to find more reasons than just RenX to upgrade, because imo, upgrading for just 1 game isnt realy smart imo.

For $1700 she should let you (ab)use her at your leisure realy, ignoring her is part of that deal. -shrug- I think I've noticed your 'issue' though, I think it's a standby mode

I’m a designer of Lost Treasure, come in and take a look plz
Truxa replied to alcavane's topic in Feedback & Bug Reports
is that it? Another Candy-Crush knock-off? If not, show some game footage please as the artwork itself is not representative of the game -
Good to hear! Last news I heard was you were. Suppose a couple months changes things around Sorry for the bad info in that case

No, Devs are devided about that idea. Then again, it's too early imo as it's still in Beta.

viewtopic.php?f=34&t=72023 try the 1st option mentioned in this topic. Another option I found on youtube (windows XP 32bit system, 4GB RAM, duo core) is this: CAUTION: Before editting any config files, make sure you have a backup file you can replace the changed one with, in case you screw something up
-
Any system specs you could/want to provide? I had that issue as well when running a 32bit windows 7 version with 3.5GB RAM (limited by 32bit system) and a GPU with 500MB dedicated memory. Use this link: http://www.game-debate.com/games/index. ... ack%20Dawn and compare your system with that of the requirements. In my experience though, the recommended requirements stated here are still a bit too low, but the game has some optimalization to go through.

Excuse me, what? Did you just call Battlefield 4 a "fast paced" game? ... Okay... Yes I do, I don't play it, I watched youtube to find that out. Standing still for more than 3 seconds gets you killed and around every corner there is a single enemy waiting to kill you. I call that fast paced. And as soon as you spawn back, you can either be lucky or unlucky but in either cases no time to prepare, whereas in RenX you spawn in your base and have a few moments to prepare yourself.

First and foremost, I have no clue whatsup with the EVA message. I did notice a couple things tho. When you opened another browser tab, the screen starts flickering, is that normal? Or is it just the recording showing it? Your download/upload speeds are huuuuuuuuuuuge dude! Wow! My hard internet (through cable) speed is a steady 80 Mbps which converts roughly to 3 MBps. Its enough for me to obtain a latency of 30ms depending on server distance ofcourse. Wifi is a bit slower but I believe the Wifi router is the bottleneck for that issue. Upload steady at around 8Mbps (or 0.3MBps) It's the fastest I can get in The Netherlands as far as I know. Though it's not glass-viber yet. Hypothesis: Perhaps your internet speed is so super fast, the game registers you as being generally faster (due to the connection speed and thus communication with the server) than others. IDK, just guessing here to throw ideas to your problem.

I was aware one of the devs found it and posted it before, but I was negligent in quoting the original post and poster about this 'fix'. Instead, I advocated in most threads that avoiding the PT in the last 30 seconds to be helpful in preventing a crash while also mentioning a dev mentioned that before. In future posts, I'll try to quote him on it and/or referring to this post
-
I think you might be right. It didnt always work for me, but the crashing was significantly less when I used the PT less in the last 30 seconds. This data seems to support that, but does not reveal the cause what realy happens
-
Crashing is a known bug, it's all over the forum. Possible prevention: If you expect the round to end in 1 minute, do not touch a purchase terminal aprox 30-40 seconds before the map ends.

Glitch beacons are a known issue. Devs are working on it, I think. Yes, they are working on it, but sometimes it's area dependant, so every spot for a glitched beacon should be reported. The known ones are those beacons that fall between the cracks of a building, this one falls between rocks. There is a difference in fixing by changing the buildings (like Warfactory previously) or entire maps. Or changing the physics of beacons all together. Make em spawn at the feet instead of subjected to gravity and thus falling down resulting in floating beacons though. (fly/surf an orca, place a beacon up in the air without disarm possibilities)

I'm sorry to say this SFJake but you sound very bitter. It wasn't my intent to offend you with the PS2 idea, for me it is a diversion realy. Not that I'm a total fan of the game and playing it until it's death, it's just another game to try, thats it. Regardless, I have the feeling I must agre with you and ARC_trooper. Games these days are too fast paced, like CSGO and BF4. It's the same with today's music, compare it to the music of 30 years ago, it's horrible. Todays youth do not want to think only act and react to an ever repetative simple situation. I started playing warthunder. Yes, also a free multiplayer game with microtransactions, but it's a flight sim. A World War II flight/fight simulator. I look passed the microtransactions and only play for free and for fun. I long for games like America's Army 1 or 2, back in the day those were realistic coop team vs team games. Death means death untill the round ends.
