  10. We should have a choice in the options menu to disable it or to change the type of sound we get when we get a kill. That should be fair enough. I personally love the boink sound but some people seem to be disturbed by it.
  11. Really bad news for Renegade-X if Tiberium is under development. Let's just hope it will have a C&C Mode and not some Pay2Win-cod style bullshit.

    Thank You!

    I would like to formally thank the team behind Renegade-X for their hard work and commitment on this project. I have been reading lately about how people are disappointed that Ren-X cannot be on Steam and thus it cannot prosper as it was expected to. And sometimes this discontentment is pointed at the Ren-X team due to some ridiculous reasons, such as not fixing major game flaws and all. However, we need to consider the fact that these developers built this game on their free time, most as college students. And their hard work did actually produce a great game. From scratch to a fully playable and enjoyable game, that's uncommon these days due to the great sophistication behind modern game development. I have been a victim to having dead mod projects due to lack of skills in game development and team management. But these guys not only worked hard to build the skills to create such a beautiful game, but also maintained a dedicated team that actually finished the project. That's a real talent! Renegade-X developers, you have done a great job! Thank you for resurrecting our favorite childhood game and making us enjoy it once more. I hope that you have learned a lot from developing this game and that all of you can carry on these skills to your next successful project. Thank you again, y'all rock!
  13. Can someone explain why CnCNet has a donate button on their website?: https://cncnet.org/ How were they able to ask for donations without any problems?
  14. Maybe the Renegade-X team can start a new project and we can use Kickstarter to fund them. This project would obviously not be anything pertaining to EA content but a game that would please us all. Judging from the fact that this team had the incentive to create a game such as Renegade-X for free, I'm guessing it wouldn't be a problem for them to create a modern triple-A game with our funding. Maybe I'm just over exaggerating...
  15. Sorry I should have explained all this thoroughly. I do play Renegade-X but my crappy GPU only gives me around 30 fps under lowest settings. I'm planning on getting the GTX 970 soon and I was wondering how well it works with Renegade-X.
  16. I have i7 2600, would that be enough for the frame rates to be around 60 (or above) almost all of the time?

  19. For the first question, under PrimaryWeapons[0] = class'Rx_Weapon_LaserRifle' add PrimaryWeapons[1] = class'WEAPON_CLASS_NAME' You see how I changed the index from 0 to 1? You can change it to 2 and 3 and so on for more weapons. I don't know if this is the proper way since I'm not an UnrealScript programmer. But do try and see.
  20. The map is looking great so far! As for the vehicle limit, it is set outside the editor. You have to go to the \UDKGame\Config\UDKRenegadeX.ini and add a new line within the [RenX_Game.Rx_Game] section as "MapSpecificMineAndVehLimit=(MapName="MAP_NAME_HERE",MineLimit=30,VehicleLimit=6)" (without the quotes).
