  1. Ok, thanks. Nice model
  2. Can we have either a larger image of Sakura or just a shot of her face? I can't really see it cause it's too small. From the distance, she doesn't really look Japanese. However, the rest of the model looks excellent! I also love the rest of the assets. The APC is totally epic. Nice job there. Off topic: QUOTE (=HT=Duro @ May 23 2009, 12:42 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> You can't watch manga, you read it. It's a book. You read manga. You watch anime.
  3. QUOTE (AkuKo @ May 23 2009, 10:43 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> They aren't vanishing. If you've ever used or seen a real laser-pointer before, you would know that you can't actually see the beam. Only the source and the point it is hitting. The only time you can actually see the beam is if there is some sort of particles floating around that the light bounces off of. In the game, they show off the first bit of it to show the player that they are laser guided. However, your eyes can't actually see the beam itself, which is why it looks as if it 'vanishes' in front of it. Perhaps it would make more sense, logically, if the machine guns had some sort of exhaust port in front of the laser source that way there could be floating particles that allow us to see the beam near the source.
  4. It doesn't mean people will listen to them, but it will mean there wont be as much of an argument between people who don't agree. In the end, more people will act in uniform than without the commander. QUOTE (Techno @ May 21 2009, 06:59 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not true, people will argue over what's right in that situation. Often the most annoying or person will the biggest mouth is the winner, even if their plan sucks.
  5. I think that's the reason why it's been taking so long. They would probably get a "major advancement" over game engines, then some other game would surpass it and they would have to go back to the drawing board. The team is probably very self conscious and is carrying the weight of basically having to release a good game.
  6. QUOTE No they haven't... The DNF team was simply fired due to incompetence. They are restaffing. http://pc.ign.com/articles/984/984145p1.html
  7. If EA came over and decided to purchase this Mod's assets and turn it into a full fledged game (giving a hefty sum to the dev team), would you guys do it? Take the money and give EA all creative rights to the mod? Or tell them to get lost? (Obviously in a nicer way lol)
  8. QUOTE (maty @ May 10 2009, 07:45 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Two things: -Almost all of those bullets make no sense or are just absurdly obvious observations (Like telling someone on the street what your gender is) -What?
  9. Buy it back.. then what?

  11. I was thinking, maybe it would be a good idea to code a single player level. Something that takes the player through every aspect of the game's controls and abilities while not actually being a 'tutorial.' You can make videos for reference or detailed information, but you should let the player get involved in learning too. Make them love the quality and immersion of that mission to make them want to take the game online. You can't really captivate someone to play simply by videos and instructions and rules. Let them take control and decide if they like it or not.
  12. NO! I've been liking EA for the past few years. But I've never liked Apple, and never will! If they buy EA out, I will first of all hate Apple, obviously. Secondly hate EA because they sold themselves. Thirdly hate Westwood twice as much for selling themselves to a company that sold themselves as well. Holy crap, I can see it now. Buy disk one to build a power plant. Get disk two and not only can you build a war factory, but you can build an army tank too! (only for Macs though).

Your manner of speaking is.. um.. ..what?
  16. He's playing hardball. Trying to be funny <_< .
  17. I've only played it once, many years ago, on my friend's Sega. I didn't like it.
  18. Yea, but it should be called "Skirmish mode."
  19. What about a Skirmish mode?

No offense to the dev team, but even though that avatar was symbolic to the mod I wasn't toting it for that reason. But, rather, because I had edited the original and I liked the way it came out. But what ever, I was planning on changing it up anyway.
  21. QUOTE (Jngdwe @ Apr 22 2009, 01:19 AM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He didn't post it twice. He originally posted it in the general discussion forum, but it was moved to this forum. You can see by clicking general discussion and seeing that it says "moved" next to the title.
  22. In Renegade it can for balance reasons. The reasons the beacons exist is so that there is an alternative to infiltrating a structure or pounding on the structure from the outside. It isn't designed to reflect the core canon of the series. For example, in Tiberian Dawn, an Ioncannon couldn't take out a conyard in one shot (I think, anyway) whereas they can in Renegade's multiplayer. The reason is not because of technological advancement, but rather balance reasons. Remember it's a game.

Does that include me? I'm sort of confused as to if my position as a member of the "media platoon" allows me to tote similar avatars to that.
  24. Yes, but as you can read above, I compared the Renegade version to the Tiberium Wars version and noted the main difference in that the consolidating beams do damage in TW, whereas in Renegade, they do nothing until the timer reaches 0.
  25. Well you can always receive money and just say it was a gift from a friend.
