  1. thats a good plan and well thought of i hope we can keep people playing the game
  2. honestly there is no good ai in any game ... but ai is getting better ... UT bots always were one of the best bots out there and any bot ai in renegade-x will be far better than the ai in renegade at first place ... i mean they are "A" but they dont have the "I" hopefully we have enough players to play renegade-x ... so we wont have the need for the bots
  3. i am not a coder or modder or anything like that ... but ... well ... you know, it seems that adding proper working harversters is not that easy just remember the harvester "AI" in any CNC game, included Renny .... so i thought it might be possible that there is no harvester in the first release

  5. i like it the way it is ... the idea sounds good at first but if you think about it ... hmmm ... btw ... marathon roxx ... it happened i joined a server played 2 hours and had to leave for something ... but when i returned after couple of hours the same map was still running ... and not just the map ... the same match was running for hours ... once iwas in a game what almost run 24h, a server crash did quit that game if i remember right (i wasnt ther all the time, but one player was ... sadly i forgot the name)
  6. i just wonder if the latest UT3 patch is supported ... i stumbled over mods what wont be updated for the last patch ... is renegade x an UT3 2.1 mod ?
  7. renegade 2 ofcourse ... followed by TT ... honestly i forgot about continuum, do not have any hard facts in my mind now ... justt he name rings a bell and about tiberium, i never liked that game ... at first i thought it could be kewl (right after the announcement) ... but after a while it became clear it would be some sort of BF clone with a thin story (if there was one at all) i was very happy when they canceled it
  8. i would love that ... would be a kewl thing for an upcomming patch of renegade x ... like 1 out of 50 deaths in a tib.field turn into a visc ... and it should be like a very simple bot what is just running around on the tib.field and attacks EVERYTHING what enters the field it should happen rarely and there should a limit .. like 1 or 2 of them ... would be a nice feature ... maybe for a patch when the regular things are done pleas keep that in mind guys

  13. i believe it could be annoying if ppl keep asking questions and demanding stuff ... but as annoying as it might be, its a kind of tribute to the project ...

  15. i guess to attract the renegade community you have to remake the game exactly, no changes ... there many oppinons to what should be different, so what ever you change you just attract those who like the changes and the rest will remain on renegade ... you know what im sayn? so keep it a close as possible to the original, the rest can be changed by mutators (those who coded server side changes for renegade sure will learn how to make mutators)

  20. corect me if i am wrong but doesnt the higher characters see sbh from a longer range than normal units? i mean not like 1 mile away but from a few steps, while a normal soldier basicly needs to run directly into a sbh to actualy spot it. i still nothing needs to be fixed, i wouldnt even change anything on the flamthrower ... what needs to be fixed are things like the bungeerope bug, or invisible beacons, or ref-hop ...   22. im not sure but it might be possible to use renegade-x-mutators like you can use ut3-mutators (instagib for ex) so someone could probably make such a mutator to remove the ramjet or what ever mutators would be great cuz of their small size and the autodownloadfeature of UT3
  23. it most likely happen when WG or AIR is down ... so better do not let it die or play marathon servers where a team full of ramjetwhores will lose the game i do not see any problems with the balancing at all ... like maty said ... we are playing this game for many years so the balancing can not be bad
  24. it seems some people cant beat the ramjet ... poor ... there is a conquer unit to everything the gameplay/balancing is perfect like it is, please do not change that
